Rooms were comfortable and pool was ok but sadly the hot tub was out of service

We love the courtyard, pool & breakfast feature. The rooms are big, and access to trails & shopping is good.

No hot tub which was a bit of a bummer as the pool was a little on the chilly side. Rooms were a bit outdated but nothing that would ruin the stay. Breakfast was simple but good. Staff were wonderful. The free parking was a bonus and close to transit so was a nice easy trip in to downtown Vancouver. Room was quiet, did not hear the road or any other guests.

Typical motel of it's type, good choice if you're just passing through or staying a couple nights, but you wouldn't want to spend a whole vacation here. Excellent parking, no amenities to speak of.

The room was spotless, warm, and quiet. Our expectations were low based on the price but were pleasantly surprised and it beat our expectations. Would very much recommend. Easy access to the Lions Gate Bridge to get back to Vancouver.

Staff was fine but the room was absolutely disgusting. It had a strong odor and mold all over the bathroom. The entire room but for the beds was filthy. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The customer service was good and also the location, easy access to public transit. The cleaning was so-so, some insects and bedbugs

Moldy bathroom, with someone else’s hair in the shower and in the towels and bed. Carpet was sticky and disgusting defenitly cannot take off your shoes off. The pool was disgusting . You’d be better off to sleep in your car than to catch something nasty at this awful hotel. Would never stay at this dive hotel ever again. This hotel should cost no more than $100 a night.

The room was not fully cleaned before we checked in, there were hairs all over the bathroom, and the mini fridge had not been cleaned from the previous guest

Breakfast was pre made McMuffins and yogurt and apples which were good. The cleanliness of our room upon check in was poor. There was hair in the shower and hair on the towels and there was a spiderweb on the ceiling. We made a note to the front desk for cleaning the next day. Upon return, the spiderweb was untouched and the cleaner left their cleaning gloves in the room which was unacceptable.

The staff rearranged my reservation to accommodate me. Well deserved praise. That said The room had a stale unclean used room. The soap dish was filthy. Never cleaned. Scum all over it. Shower was worst then a homeless shelter. Moldy and grimey. Hard to sleep when you fear for bedbugs. Get what you pay for i guess, but I'd much rather of slept in a tent under a highway overpass.

Staff fantastic. Room was clean but not made up during our 4 day stay as y. No towels or bed making. Luckily toilet paper lasted! Ok I should have asked but didn’t. Never had to ask for housekeeping in my 70!years of travel!

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. Doesn’t look like anything was cleaned (or has ever been cleaned) Mold in the shower, hair everywhere, none of the walls or surfaces cleaned. Yellow all around toilet seat. Also have a disgusting, brown “pond” with 1 fish in it that obviously hasn’t been tended to in a long time. Would never stay again.

Big two room suite for little money. Bed was good, so was the sofa in the living room. Very clean and quiet. Would choose this Place again.

It was average. The small ugly room was clean and adequate. No elevator sucked a bit. Otherwise it was fine.

The hotel room was sufficient for our needs. Unfortunately, there is little sound proofing and we could clearly hear the TV next door until it was turned off at 3am.

Good location for the ferry to Vancouver Island. Only 15 minute drive. Although the room was near the road, it was very quiet. Comfortable night’s sleep.

It served a purpose. The reviews on Expedia were good but they were quite mixed on google. Google was more accurate. It’s nice but super dated - had a queen suite and the pull out is probably as old as I am. My 12-year-old struggled to sleep on it. It’s clean-ish - the sheets smelled good but there’s stains and gunk like between the tiles in the bathroom, along the baseboards. Could use a very thorough clean. The staff were lovely and tried to help with the pullout - they said they’d see if they could get us another room but it eas too busy for that. We were given extra blankets to try to cushion the mattress. The queen bed felt a little small and was not the most comfortable for me but my partner said he slept okay. The place could use some upgrades for sure.

Bed was really firm but ultimately really comfortable. Water pressure was acceptable. Room had the things it needs to have. It was spacious. The ac worked good. The hotel is just a really short ways from the capilano suspension bridge and so super easy to access. You arent going deep into north van. Theres gas stations right there. Which was nice.

Horrible experience. When we got there for check in the front desk lady asked for my credit card and ID, she asked my two friends (I’m 19 (booked the hotel/paid for it) one friend is 19 and other is 18). Legal age in Vancouver is 19 so thought me booking a hotel is not a problem. We originally had it booked for 2 nights as we were here for a concert. Once she looked at our ID’s she’s like “none of you guys are 21. You have to be at least 21 to book a room”. When I booked the room I looked through all the ‘terms and conditions’ and policy’s that most people skip over just to be sure of everything. Not once did I read you had to be 21 hence why I booked with them. Ended up finding that you had to be 21 but it was very very fine print. When I asked her what the reasoning for 21 is she said “trafficking”. WHAT! I would also like to add that the ladies at the front desk showed little empathy for us and we had to fight for them to understand how dangerous the situation was. We understand that it was not their choice to turn us away from the hotel, as it is a corporate policy, but we felt that it absolutely should be more visible on their website/booking sites because we almost ended up homeless in a foreign city with no where to go because it was a holiday long weekend/big concert weekend. My friend let her know it was extremely unprofessional to not have this information easily accessible on their website because of situations like these, and they basically said ‘not my prob’

The room we were given was full of visible water damage and mold!!! The front desk staff did nothing to fix the issue and would not issue a refund! The area was also sketchy- lots of sketchy people hanging around the hotel. I had to chose between losing over $800 for a three night’s stay or subjecting my young family to black mold exposure!!! I handed in my room keys- the front desk never apologized. I was even laughed at for asking for a refund. I have never stayed at a hotel with such poor service and substandard/unsafe/unsanitary rooms.

Easy to check in and customer friendly. Rooms were clean and had all amenities needed. Easy no cost parking and great location to my work in North Shore. Well Done.

I booked a stay for 2 queen beds on the 24th of December through hotels.com. By the time I arrived at the front desk I was greeted by the receptionists. One of them was named Priscilla. I checked in; while reviewing their details before checking me in, Priscilla and her coworker were whispering to each other about "a change" to my room assignment. Initially, I ignored this, not thinking too much of it. Soon enough, instead of talking to me regarding their private discussion, they just told me to head inside to our assigned room. Instead, this room had 1 bed, which was NOT the 2 Queen beds that I originally booked. My daughter and I already brought heavy luggage inside this incorrect room, and it was raining, too! I was so upset and returned to the front desk saying this was the wrong room, and Priscilla/her coworkers didn't even apologize for failing to double-check that my room was the correct one, after such inconveniences we experienced. They finally gave me the key to our correct room with no apology or any sort of remorse. This was very unprofessional, incompetent behaviour by reception/staff and we may not be staying here again!

I been coming to this place for years now very friendly people But when we check in the room gave us try go in room someone was in there ready I reserved room months ago I reserved for king bed they had give me nother room but 2 queen beds upstairs We have difculity walking gt arthritis then top it off there was cockroachs in room when told front desk they say nothing bot it Then she say talk to manger But she say he's not around

It was good .. quiet no microwave in the room that's unexpected. Otherwise for one night it was fine. Staff was excellent

Econolodge was a nice surprise, the front desk staff were pleasant and especially helpful. It was perfectly located for a wedding we were attending up at Grouse Mountain. We requested an earlier check in so we could have time to dress for the wedding and they made it happen. The motel is a bit dated, however the room was clean and came equipped with comfortable beds, kitchenette, and filled with everything you would need for a pleasant, economical and convenient stay. I would definitely stay here again.

It was close to transportation and very easy to get around

We had a nice stay, clean rooms, nice breakfast, helpful staff and location is very convenient.

The location is very close to the bus stop from which you can quickly get into downtown and to the northern attractions like Capilano suspension bridge and Growse Mountain. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was available. Also we could leave our bags in the secured room in the lobby before the check-in.

Die Zimmer sind angewohnt, aber an und für sich sauber. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, sodass man jegliche Aktivitäten der Nachbarn mitbekommt. Das Frühstück darf so nicht genannt werden. Es gibt keinen wirklichen Frühstücksraum, es gibt Rühreiburger und Pancakes zum selber Warmmachen in der Mikrowelle, dazu nicht besonders guten Kaffee. Das kann man sich wirklich schenken.

Located 13 mins from Gastown on other side - nearer to the suspension bridge park Price was cheaper compared to other Vancouver hotels. Breakfast options were minimal - coffee plus frozen sandwiches - nothing Vegan or Veg . No Yogurt or bread or oats or cereal . There are grocery stores near by.

Room was clean, location was great for easy access to the highway and probably the most convenient “in Vancouver” hotel for easy access to the ski resorts. Breakfast was barely a step above continental (eggo toaster waffles, and microwave breakfast sandwiches). But otherwise everything was exactly as advertised, easy parking and convenient location are the biggest pros.

Breakfast is good. Location is a bus stop and very convenient for public transit. The room has ample space. Value for money.

Good location in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are spacious and clean. The privacy curtains let plenty of sunlight in while still blocking the view inward. Climate control is very effective. The breakfast was mediocre at best. The microwaved breakfast sandwiches are terrible and the rest of the offerings are nothing to write home about.
