I have no complaints about the hotel itself. I am very disappointed with the reception staff around my request to change my checkout date. Upon my arrival, when checking in, I told the desk that I wanted to check out a day early. I was told to talk to the person at the desk the next morning. I did so. That person told me there would be no problem checking out a day early. The following day I checked out. I was then told that I could check out early, but I would be charged for the full cost of my reservation. Any changes would need to be made with Hotels.com. I chatted with Hotels.com, where I was told that cancellations and changes are subject to the hotel policy. Checking the policy, had I made a change a couple of seconds before checking in, I would have incurred a one night cost, the first night. That I asked for a change just after checking in meant that any refund was at the discretion of the hotel. For a relatively costly hotel, I find this run around which ended up costing me for a night that I did not stay at the hotel very disappointing.

Good breakfast and excellent service, especially Benny who was extremely professional, fruendly, and helpful! The suit is big and convenient. If I go to Waterloo again one day, I would like to book this hotel again!

I can't remember what was said, but I got giggling with the front desk guy desk person. Talk about a mood boost just improved whole stay.

It is older outdated hotel. The room is big but carpet is old. I kept on smell the smoke in the hallway. They assigned us to the wrong room and than took us to another room that I could not enter as strong chemicals smell upon opening the door. Than had to await in the hallway to fine another room. The room is okay. The cleaning of the room is not great. The stuff will come in to do the bed not not anything else such as towels on the floor nor daily freshments of coffee and shower room supplies. My husband asked the front desk upon heading out to clean our room. When are back the room looks like the way we have left. I had to call front desk to ask fresh towels. The last day the keys were deactivated and had to come down to get new keys. Very disappointed stay.
