Checking in to the property was very nice , but the area is quite run down and dated. We had chosen this hotel as it advertised 2 restaurants and a bar/lounge. That was because we knew it was a long holiday weekend and it may be difficult to find an open restaurant. None of these options were indeed open. This was disappointing.

Breakfast was really good. Things were clean but really old. No elevator and we had to walk a long ways, to get to our room. With stairs in between.

I would not recommend staying at this place in whitecourt, the photos that are posted are nothing like when you show up and actually see the place. It is run down and the rooms are not clean/sanitary. Dirt and grim visible as well as tiny beetles crawling on your bed. The manager seemed to turn a blind eye to the fact we found tiny beetles on our bed and did not resolve the issue for us. Please take your money elsewhere if you need a place to stay in whitecourt.

Building is old and while attempts hae been made to keepbl it up to date, the workmanship is sub par. Room was dirty with a used coffee pod left in the coffee maker and something had spilled in the microwave and wasn't cleaned. I'll look at another property upon my next visit to town

Well all was good, then went into the bathroom to find dead atleast they were dead water beetles. Would have left but after two ball games, it was a bed. The breakfast was half raw bacon, even though i ordered sausage. The sandwich with cold eggs. Went to get a coffee since it wasnt in the restaurant but the lobby. To find a cockroach or a big red beetle in the lobby. Would not recommend. It was cheapish but stay away.

The hotel was decent. Maybe ok The room was not clean. I booked a 9 night stay due to work. We ended up being release early from the job and only used 5 (6) nights due to night shift. Hotels.com and myself tried to get a refund. But the manager said no. I was told to contact hotels .com which I did and they tried as well but the manager would not refund the 3 days not used. The rooms are dirty. Open plug ins (wires showing ) behind the bed. Very poor breakfast Dirty kitchen (when you have to pick up breakfast, you can see unsanitary kitchen). I tried to be reasonable and look at big picture as it was economical. However. The refusal to refund the last 3 days sealed it. I am back working in the area, but they lost out on many more days . I am at a different hotel

I stayed one night on my way home - just needed a place to stay. Check in was quick and easy. All the staff I met were professional and efficient. Lots of parking. Room was dated but clean and comfortable.

It was average basically, King bed was nice and comfortable. Trying to turn the shower on was a major challenge (weird setup). Furniture in room weren't placed well. Shortage of plugs and one lamp didn't work, making things dark and hard to see. Couldn't use computer because of these problems. Having no restaurant was a disappointment as this was an advertised amenity. Other than these issues, Staff were helpful and Breakfast was exceptionally good. We may be back when if in the area and renovations are finished.

There was splatters of dried liquid on different surfaces and the toilet wasn’t well cleaned. You could see it even in just how streaky and poorly cleaned the front door glass was. It’s what you get for $80 though I guess.

Staff was more interested in being on her cel phone and smoking than serving us. Not very friendly. All stairs, no luggage rack. Train was noisy multiple times during the night. Will be trying another hotel next time.

The staff is amazing, we came at different hours for a week and always were great. Outstanding customer service from all the staff. I'd only add a couple of cameras outside in the parking lot. The rooms are supposed to be under renovation but didn't hear any noise and didn't see any dust. Definitely a hotel to come back.

This hotel was very noisey as the train for the lumber mill went by every hour during the night and would blow his air horn every time. My room was situated by the back entrance and i could hear this door slam all morning as the mill workers left for work. There was a theft on the balcony one morning. Breakfast staff were great.

Nice hotel. Close to the river. You can just walk to the river front and take a stroll. Good Lava Grill resturant in the premise. Comfortable bed. Room had a microwave, TV and fridge.

The staff were very friendly, but the hotel is extremely dated, not super clean, and in the worst possible location in Whitecourt. Beside the highway, train tracks, Mill and the river (which only really makes a difference in the summer with riverboats) I stayed here once 14 years ago, and booked it again by mistake. If the staff weren't so kind I'd have forfeited my money and gone somewhere else.

Surrounding the building is an abandoned building on one side, highway on the other and the river on the other side. Staff was nice and helpful. You get three breakfast options (just different combinations of eggs, toast, hash browns, sausage and pan cakes) which was fine. It was cheap to stay there but the photos defiantly made it look better than it was.

Checking in to the property was very nice , but the area is quite run down and dated. We had chosen this hotel as it advertised 2 restaurants and a bar/lounge. That was because we knew it was a long holiday weekend and it may be difficult to find an open restaurant. None of these options were indeed open. This was disappointing.

Good, clean hotel. Electrical connections are outdated, no plugin near bed so working on my laptop was real challenge. Breakfast was like covid time, nominal. No alternative of bacon or pork sausage, frustrating.

I checked into the hotel thinking that Ramada was a step above most hotels. As soon as I checked in the lady at the desk told me that breakfast was to order. At that moment I asked the lady if she would refund me my money so I could go to another hotel. I explained that I have never stayed at a hotel where you had to order your breakfast that was decent. She asked the manager and the manager said that I would need to contact hotels.com to ask for a refund. We all know how that would have worked out. I went to bed and there was water running down some pipes in the wall all night. On one side of the hotel was a highway and on the other side were the train tracks. Train came through twice that night. I got to the order breakfast. They made the breakfast individually so you would have thought it would be good. The hash brown was like a hockey puck. The toast was at least three or four days old as the crust was hard as a rock. The over easy eggs were not over easy as you can see by the pictures. This has got to be the worst hotel in Whitecourt by far. I wish the manager had agreed to refund me my money but he did not. His attitude sums up the entire hotel experience. I would rather sleep on the corner of the street than stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was decent. Maybe ok The room was not clean. I booked a 9 night stay due to work. We ended up being release early from the job and only used 5 (6) nights due to night shift. Hotels.com and myself tried to get a refund. But the manager said no. I was told to contact hotels .com which I did and they tried as well but the manager would not refund the 3 days not used. The rooms are dirty. Open plug ins (wires showing ) behind the bed. Very poor breakfast Dirty kitchen (when you have to pick up breakfast, you can see unsanitary kitchen). I tried to be reasonable and look at big picture as it was economical. However. The refusal to refund the last 3 days sealed it. I am back working in the area, but they lost out on many more days . I am at a different hotel

Our stay in this Whitecourt Alberta was not good Rooms were hot even with the air conditioning on Electrical is not up to code No plugs in rooms Staff was annoyed when I asked for a towel Complimentary breakfast was nasty. Cooked to order and came out cold. Eggs were not cooked and pancakes tasted like raw batter. Food was served in paper plates and wooden utensils. Parking lot was not cleared after a snow fall For a one night stay we received 5 texts and 9 emails. Way too much. This property is not up to the standard of the Wyndham hotel. chain. Will NOT stay at one of these hotels again Do better pls

Unsure if the property is under construction....? The photos did not reflect what the hotel actually looked like. The room wasnt clean. Discount hotel, get what you pay for I guess. But the cleanliness standards need work. Staff were friendly though.

First off, the girl at the front desk was very polite, but that was the only positive of our stay. This hotel should be closed until the renovations are complete. It is dirty and in horrible shape or completely torn apart. If I could have gotten my money back and gone elsewhere I would have. I booked two rooms and both were old and looked nothing like the photos on the website. One room had a door that appeared to have been kicked in at one point as it was cracked and poorly fixed and the chain on the back of the door was super loose and you could see stains on the bathroom ceiling. I did not feel at all safe in the room. The second room had a balcony with no railing. We were told about this and didn't think it was an issue as we had no plans to go on the balcony. But I'm hindsight thinking this may have meant the room had not been cleaned recently. The mattress was stained and there was mold and mildew on the bathroom roof and tile grout and the bathroom fan didn't work.
