The in hotel restaurant was excellent in both price and quality of food. All spaces were clean and in excellent shape. Small workout room, but adequate for a couple of people at a time. Pool area was clean. Staff were all friendly, it made for a good experience

Overall the stay was okay. Took my kids to play in the pool for the weekend. Pool area was alright except the chlorine smell would get so strong we were all coughing and could only spend about 20 minutes in the pool area. There was also some areas that need fixing like broken tiles and rusty dislocated railings. The hot tub was running but had a sign saying out of service use at own risk. The beds were so hard we are still stiff. The staff however were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating ! The kids enjoyed the waffle bar for breakfast. Some upgrades to the pool area and better ventilation and some less plywood feeling beds and this would’ve been fantastic !

The toilet in our room did not work when we arrived. We had to put our plumbing skills to work and get it pumping and moving water. The pool was over chlorinated to the point where the kids were getting rashes, eyes were burning and they were coughing so badly they could only swim in 30 minute intervals. Those sitting my the pool had their eyes burning within minutes. We finally said something Saturday to which the front desk said if we didn’t like the chlorine levels then leave. They finally did a test that evening and it was high that the pool was immediately evacuated and shut down for the rest of the weekend. Public pools are regulated and must be tested regularly to avoid such issues as these. The rooms were clean and breakfast was good.

Out of all the hotels I've searched in Winkler, this hotel is the most affordable without sacrificing the comfort and services I was looking for. The amenities were great! The pool area is warm even on snowy days; I got to enjoy the water and well-functioning slide. There was also an available washer and dryer for FREE! My room was clean and so as the lobby and the breakfast area of the hotel. I did not even see any marks of mud (due to the snow conditions) during my stay which speaks volume on how well staff tried to maintin the cleanliness of the hotel. Lastly, the location is the best in Winkler! It is walking distance to the Main Street where there's quite a few selection of restaurants and a 24 Hour Tim Horton's. And if you are in need of groceries and snacks, Walmart and 7-eleven are a minute walk away. I would not even search for any other hotels and will def stay here again when I come back in Winkler in the next couple of years.

Breakfast was ok. I’d been to this hotel a couple months ago and had a completely different experience. The breakfast this time around lacked big time. Both days the egg, meat and hashbrowns were extremely low no matter the time I went and had been sitting there for a long time. The bread was dry. Not sure why such a huge difference from last time (I believe it was the breakfast person preforming poorly). When we got there we had to wait an hour before the pool opened (chlorine level issues) and the following day they had rented out time for swimming lessons from 11-2pm privately. We came to this hotel With our kids for 2 nights in hopes of making use of the pool area as much as possible… it was disappointing but it is what it is.. the check-in and checkout was great as I had done it all on line prior to check in check out.

We were shocked to discover that they only change the sheets on the bed every 3 days. We were NOT expecting that the sheets be changed every morning, but we were expecting that the bed be made - which they only do at the end of your stay or every 3 days! Frankly, I surprised they cleaned the bathroom - they could have let that go for 3 days as well!!!

On Saturday evening I found bugs in my bathroom. I got the staff to come see. One staff used tissue to kill them and said I think they are fruit flies, to which I said they are not flying. I asked for a different room and was told they could not accommodate me. I did not sleep well because of this and when i went to the bathroom during the night, thete were bugs. On closer look, I determined the were ants. I am very unhappy that the staff at this property did not care that I had to share my room with bugs. I will nevere stay there again, and I feel Hotels.com should not offer this property as an option in Winkler, Manitoba, Canada.

one of the cleanest hotels I have been in. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only complaint was the carpet in the elevator was dirty. They should remove and use sheet vinyl instead.

Upon entrance there were a number of sightless issues. Entrance was dirty, glass was not cleaned and entrance was cluttered giving limited space for carrying luggage or pull luggage as one door was not feasible to use. Lobby was general, clean, small but quant. Upon the elevators opening it was extremely dirty. Major stains on carpet, walls were terrible dirty. Upon entrance of hallway it was better and clean. Entrance of room was okay, bathroom was not clinically clean, meaning remaining hairs from previous client along with floor carpet again was not maintained. They need to shampoo the rugs and remove the carpet in elevator to ensure cleanliness upon first sight to the hotel. It’s about first impressions and that was very disappointing. Outside of the cleanliness of the hotel the staff was extremely kind and courteous. Breakfast was good, weekend they only use small area but come Monday they opened the entire room which I found less congested and clean. It’s all about perception of a property and they should just keep the entire area open. Easier to clean and more room instead of waiting for other to get by you in order to fill your plates. The manager is working and sleeping at property mainly due to lack of staff, poor guy but he was very kind and attentive to the clients as I watched him replenish foods in buffet. I commend him for his passion to this hotel and hope they give me accolades he deserves along with Linda the room attendant along with Red, front desk agen

Booked two king suites and were given rooms on different floors (travellling with 90 year old parents). Updates and fixes overdue: carpets were old and “bubbling up”, air conditioners were sooo noisy, pillows were hard lumps and bathroom faucet broken in one room. Did complain about the noisy air conditioners and got a polite “sorry to hear that”. Our son-in-law who also booked (room 309) actually took an audio recording of the noisy air conditioner.

All of the staff were so friendly and helpful! The only thing I didn't enjoy was being able to hear the guests in the room next door... They weren't exceptionally loud, it just seemed that the rooms aren't very sound proof. Something to consider if traveling with kids or a light sleeper.

Checked in quite late. Very friendly night staff. The facility and room were clean and comfortable. Wifi was good as I had to work for a couple of hours. Very short stay. Checked out first thing in the morning. Price could have been better it was definitely on the high side. I would stay there again if needed.

Overall the stay was okay. Took my kids to play in the pool for the weekend. Pool area was alright except the chlorine smell would get so strong we were all coughing and could only spend about 20 minutes in the pool area. There was also some areas that need fixing like broken tiles and rusty dislocated railings. The hot tub was running but had a sign saying out of service use at own risk. The beds were so hard we are still stiff. The staff however were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating ! The kids enjoyed the waffle bar for breakfast. Some upgrades to the pool area and better ventilation and some less plywood feeling beds and this would’ve been fantastic !

Great stay, our only issue when we checked in was the fact we had booked 1 suite for 3 adults and 2 children (mum, dad 2 teenage daughter and a neice) when we arrived we got shwn to 1 room which only had a king bed and a sofa bed, i went down to speak to reception as 3 teenagers would not be able to comfortably fit in the bed together, then we gotnoffered another room (queen suite which we preferred) but got told its the main bed a sofa bed then the 5 th person is expected to sleep on the floor!!! The sofa bed was not comfortable at all, luckily we had another room booked we could send the teeneagers to! Also there was not a great deal of light in the room. BUT the hotel its self and staff are all amazing and will definitely be back and would recommend! :D

The view out our 3rd floor window, was the roof of a building. I pity the rooms below us that were facing the brick wall. The one thing I really liked was that the room was very dark at night. No lights, that usually bother me from the microwave, or smoke detector, or t.v. The air conditioner vent rattled when running and was a little noisy.

Afternoon staff was very rude. There was also no remedy for a multi-family group who were foolishly housed with several rooms between them. The adults and children ran between rooms without concern for anyone else until nearly 11pm. Nothing was done before that despite several different requests from multiple guests. Whatever got done, seems to have happened at shift change, because it stopped about then. Overnight clerk was truly sweet and working hard on preparing breakfast while assisting with a huge amount of laundry. I'll never stay at this facility and I'll avoid all Days Inn options in the future.

I stayed at the Winkler Days Inn before was really happy was clean quite this experience was a little different my daughter found a cigarette butt in a bench in the lobby are room was good and clean but we were told no drinks by the pool multiple people had drinks in there hands hotel was busy but rules with the pool area were not kept i had a few kids keep knocking on are room door not sure if i would stay again also dealing with a over charge on my credit card

The toilet in our room did not work when we arrived. We had to put our plumbing skills to work and get it pumping and moving water. The pool was over chlorinated to the point where the kids were getting rashes, eyes were burning and they were coughing so badly they could only swim in 30 minute intervals. Those sitting my the pool had their eyes burning within minutes. We finally said something Saturday to which the front desk said if we didn’t like the chlorine levels then leave. They finally did a test that evening and it was high that the pool was immediately evacuated and shut down for the rest of the weekend. Public pools are regulated and must be tested regularly to avoid such issues as these. The rooms were clean and breakfast was good.

The staff was super friendly and very accomodating. They went out of their way to make our stay as good as possible. The rooms were really nice and clean. Hotel is right beside Walmart and Dollarama and also several different restaurants and a gas station which is great. Literally the only issue was that the parking isnt that great but even that wasn't too bad.

Check in was pleasant with the sweetest girl. Our room was a king suite with a sitting area. Nice size and clean. Breakfast was available in the morning and included some prepackaged items to heat up, pancakes, cereal, fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and bread/bagels. The proximity to shopping is convenient, with several stores within walking distance: Walmart, Bulk Barn, Dollarama, Warehouse One. We would stay here again.

Out of all the hotels I've searched in Winkler, this hotel is the most affordable without sacrificing the comfort and services I was looking for. The amenities were great! The pool area is warm even on snowy days; I got to enjoy the water and well-functioning slide. There was also an available washer and dryer for FREE! My room was clean and so as the lobby and the breakfast area of the hotel. I did not even see any marks of mud (due to the snow conditions) during my stay which speaks volume on how well staff tried to maintin the cleanliness of the hotel. Lastly, the location is the best in Winkler! It is walking distance to the Main Street where there's quite a few selection of restaurants and a 24 Hour Tim Horton's. And if you are in need of groceries and snacks, Walmart and 7-eleven are a minute walk away. I would not even search for any other hotels and will def stay here again when I come back in Winkler in the next couple of years.

The in hotel restaurant was excellent in both price and quality of food. All spaces were clean and in excellent shape. Small workout room, but adequate for a couple of people at a time. Pool area was clean. Staff were all friendly, it made for a good experience

Breakfast was ok. I’d been to this hotel a couple months ago and had a completely different experience. The breakfast this time around lacked big time. Both days the egg, meat and hashbrowns were extremely low no matter the time I went and had been sitting there for a long time. The bread was dry. Not sure why such a huge difference from last time (I believe it was the breakfast person preforming poorly). When we got there we had to wait an hour before the pool opened (chlorine level issues) and the following day they had rented out time for swimming lessons from 11-2pm privately. We came to this hotel With our kids for 2 nights in hopes of making use of the pool area as much as possible… it was disappointing but it is what it is.. the check-in and checkout was great as I had done it all on line prior to check in check out.

Breakfast the best ever! Especially for people like us who cannot eat gluten. They offer a gluten-free only toaster and bagels and white bread. Plus, sausages, all the hot stuff gluten free, Fruit, cheese, boiled eggs, all so well stocked and very hard working staff for breakfast, especially the woman with fair very short hair - she was incredible. Had problems with internet though and after about an hour got something to work- was not impressed with that as I was looking forward to unwinding from a long business day and completing a Netflix series we had started the night before. Rest of staff not terrible impressive but that young breakfast woman!! Now she knows how to treat customers. Checking out had to argue with him about our service dog - is not a pet, he was clearly not informed and admitted only been there 1 month. No excuse. It looked like he was going to put $200 on my card. This is a no pets at all hotel and I clearly booked saying with service dog. Worked out in the end but not a great way to end the visit.

Network TV service was down for evening and morning. Notified front desk and they twice came up to attempt to fix it with no success. In the morning management claims they notified guests at 8:30 in the evening, but we weren’t in the room. So the subsequent two visits were doomed to be futile. Why didn’t management tell their employees of the issue?
