1 nacht verbleven in Piet Mondriaan. Een soort zolderkamer. Erg warm, geen airco. Wel een ventilator maar niet handig voor de nacht. Heel gehorig gebouw. Verrotte ramen die niet goed sluiten. Je hoort alles van buiten. Ook de gangen zijn gehorig. Geen lift. Spinnen en muggen op de kamer. Na het douchen staat de badkamer blank. Nooit meer!
1 nacht verbleven in Piet Mondriaan. Een soort zolderkamer. Erg warm, geen airco. Wel een ventilator maar niet handig voor de nacht. Heel gehorig gebouw. Verrotte ramen die niet goed sluiten. Prima accommodatie. Personeel mag wel iets vriendelijker/gezelliger. Goede prijs kwaliteitsverhouding. Geen beveiligde WiFi en de tv deed het niet (was een storing). Maar prima geslapen en prima ontbijtje. Ik kom nog wel een keer weer

I enjoyed that the hotel was on a canal and very near to where my niece lives. It is an easy walk from the bus station on the other side of a highway (you walk under the highway). The stairs to the first floor bedroom were quite steep but the room was clean and comfortable. You can open the window but then you get the traffic noise.

Positive: Convenient location. Easy to park, close by Stadshart (shopping area) which is on walking distance. Not difficult to get to Schiphol airport. Nice personalized breakfast. Not so good: TV system doesn’t work well, often restarts and some channels are disrupted. Electricity in the room is not functioning well, in our case half of the wall outlets don’t have power. Location both positive and negative; nice to have a mall close by but for Amsterdam -which will be important for many people since there’s nothing to do in Amstelveen- you need to take a bus. They mention metro and tram but those are not close by at all and not findable so you’re stuck with the bus system. There’s a large bus station close to the hotel and mall, a ticket is rather expensive, count on €30 for 2 people as return, then a parking garage in Amsterdam center is even cheaper?!

Petit hotel avec bon petit dejeuner. Tres pratique car proche d amsterdam sans etre au centre. Pres de petit restaurant et au bord du canal. Facile pour ce garer. Parfait avec des velos.

Large room and good beds. Simple but good hotel placed convenient close to the airport if you have a car. Free parking is a plus. Breakfast - well continental- so nothing special.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the hart of old Amstelveen but it is being less and less attractive due to cost savings on maintenance and bad overall management! Doors that don’t close! Paint that peels off! Narrow and steep stairways! Carpets! Discussions at the desk about payment structure (credit card prepayment and payment of city taxes) and a no reservation policy for bikes etc., hard to obtain parking spot in the back yard and a noisy and “to be served” breakfast room, makes the stay more trying every time we use it! Generally speaking the overall standard and service of this place sucks! This is our third time at the premises but we hope we can find something more pleasurable in the future! The hotel.com app works well with good overview of costs and payments made so thanks for that hotels.com!

A tired looking hotel exterior but my room was modern, spotless and comfortable. The apple and chocolate were a treat and breakfast was generous with a variety of choices. The staff were helpful and pleasant. There was even a cute young boy who held the door open for me. The airport bus is a 10 minute walk away.

cute and quaint property. walls are pretty thin so you can hear everything as a light sleeper but otherwise no complaints. came here after a cancelled flight and i called ahead for them to wait for me at the front desk and they kindly did.

Llegamos y nos dejaron la habitación antes de las 14h, la llave que nos dieron cuando tuvimos que volver no funcionó y servía para la puerta de la calle y la de la habitación y volvíamos con un bebé tarde en la noche por visitar a la familia que vive cerca. La habitación pequeñisima, tuvimos que subir dos pisos empinados y un poco más de escaleras con el carro, maletas etc…y eso que pusimos que íbamos con bebé, suerte que no pedimos cuna sino no sé dónde la ponen, la cama incomoda durisima, un calor insoportable con un ventilador que te dejan que hace mucho ruido. La limpieza muy bien, pero a la que te duchas ya no puedes volver a entrar al baño porque se moja todo el suelo del baño. Queríamos probar que tal este hotel porque la ubicación era genial para volver ahí cada vez que visitemos a la família ya que cada vez somos más miembros y no cabemos en casa pero que va no volveremos.

The hotel was a quiant place in a quiet neighbourhood. Very close walking distance to several great restaurants. The ample breakfast included at the hotel was delicious and delightfully served. Rooms were very quiet and comfortable, just a tad on the small side but included all of the comforts required for a short stay.

ALP De Veenen is a small hotel a short walk away from the centre of Amstelveen and the bus station. It is situated in a quiet street near the old town and a wide selection of bars and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is plentiful, with a choice of breads and sandwich fillings, orange juice, coffee or tea, as well as the option of eggs and/or yoghurt. My room was small but comfortable, with coffee and tea making facilities, a fridge and a large television offering many different channels. The bathroom had probably been recently refurbished and looked lovely; the shower in particular was nice, with two different shower heads. The only reason why I haven't given the hotel top marks is that the room was rather hot, and if I left the window open at night I was kept awake by the traffic noise from the nearby motorway.

Das einzig negative an dem Hotel waren die Betten. Die waren entweder etwas durchgelegen oder der Lattenrost in der Mitte zu weich. Ansonsten, super schöne Gegend und nettes Personal.

cute and quaint property. walls are pretty thin so you can hear everything as a light sleeper but otherwise no complaints. came here after a cancelled flight and i called ahead for them to wait for me at the front desk and they kindly did.

A tired looking hotel exterior but my room was modern, spotless and comfortable. The apple and chocolate were a treat and breakfast was generous with a variety of choices. The staff were helpful and pleasant. There was even a cute young boy who held the door open for me. The airport bus is a 10 minute walk away.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the hart of old Amstelveen but it is being less and less attractive due to cost savings on maintenance and bad overall management! Doors that don’t close! Paint that peels off! Narrow and steep stairways! Carpets! Discussions at the desk about payment structure (credit card prepayment and payment of city taxes) and a no reservation policy for bikes etc., hard to obtain parking spot in the back yard and a noisy and “to be served” breakfast room, makes the stay more trying every time we use it! Generally speaking the overall standard and service of this place sucks! This is our third time at the premises but we hope we can find something more pleasurable in the future! The hotel.com app works well with good overview of costs and payments made so thanks for that hotels.com!

Wonderful! I was allowed to check in early, but thebroom wasn't ready. I asked about food. Gave me walking directions to something close. Room was ready when I returned. The rooms are named instead of numbered. That was cute. I visited the restaurant in the evening. Prices were normal for the area. The food and service was Awesome! I was attending a comedy show at the Ziggo dome. About a 30 euro taxi ride to there. 60 to Amsterdam Central station. I would definitely stay here again.

Great small hotel, with amazing accommodations, and short walking distance to the nearest bus stop(5-6min). Breakfast was included, and there were plenty of choices to eat. We fell in love with the city. Thank you. We’ll meet again soon :)

It's a cosy, quiet, noise-free boutique hotel. Rooms are on the 1st floor. Ours was the only with terrace and it was nice. Comfy beds but lighting is very weak. Modern toilet with floor heating. A shelf to put toiletries/makeups stuff would be very handy. Breakfast is brought to the table and based on cheese, ham/salami, bread jam, etc. You are given the choice of opting for eggs. Easy to get there from the Amstelveen bus station where the bus 300 leaves you from the airport. Waking distance to caffes, restaurant and supermarkets. I would stay again!

I enjoyed that the hotel was on a canal and very near to where my niece lives. It is an easy walk from the bus station on the other side of a highway (you walk under the highway). The stairs to the first floor bedroom were quite steep but the room was clean and comfortable. You can open the window but then you get the traffic noise.

It was an amazing stay. The continental breakfast was outstanding. They know how to feed travellers. Very quaint hotel. I would recommend it to anyone not wanting to stay in Amsterdam. It is a 10 min bus ride to the airport

Accomodatie was goed De doucheruimte iets aan de kleine kant. Ontbijt was super,er wordt uitgeserveerd . Ze komen langs met broodsoorten die je aan tafel uit kan zoeken.

Having fully read the description of this 3 star hotel, we were confident it meet our needs, and we were not mistaken. (Sometimes when you read critical reviews, you wonder if the person actually did their research or had excessive expectations...) The staff were very polite, attentive, and helpful; at breakfast, which was a continental version, served at your table (for COVID-compliance reasons), the waitress was very busy, but ever-smiling, and after just one day remembered that "we would like milk with our breakfast tea please". Evening meals were prepared by Roy ("Leroy"), and without exception they were first-rate! Clearly someone who enjoys what he does, if he is not too busy, Roy will happily discuss how he cooked what he has served. He's a cheerful character, and deserves recognition. The Dining room was nicely decorated and tables reasonably apart to encourage compliance with social distancing, and well illuminated too - you could actually see what you were eating! The stairs (we were on the 3rd floor) perhaps needed a bit more light, and were a bit steep, so you need to be aware of that when booking. The room we had (Karel Appel) was nice and clean, window not overlooked, compact, but perfectly adequate for a couple, with ensuite washroom separated by a sliding door. Remember you are in The Netherlands, so don't expect many English-language TV channels; but exploring the audio options for some films can give you interesting results. A lovely hotel.

On arrival the hotel does look really nice, nice decor, and it's in a great location. I unfortunately found the lady on reception quite unhelpful and a little rude at times. We were also told the wrong breakfast time, and felt like we'd done something wrong. We were given a coffee and pastry though. My room was quite small, but very quiet. There were squashed bugs on the wall which I cleaned off myself. Also on the television. The television remote control was very dirty, so I didn't use the TV.. The bathroom was very nice. The property needs updating. There are stains on the carpet in the hall way and stairs, and they are ripped, but in general I had a pleasant stay here. I probably wouldn't stay again though as I don't like to feel uncomfortable by the owners.

Hotellet var ikke godt vedligeholdt. Løse kontakter, manglende pærer, store plamager på gulvtæpperne i gangene. Men ellers rent. Morgenmad var god og fin betjening. Receptionisten var lidt afmålt og tøvende overfor at efterkomme ønsker, der var helt rimelige.
Hotellet var ikke godt vedligeholdt. Løse kontakter, manglende pærer, store plamager på gulvtæpperne i gangene. Men ellers rent. Morgenmad var god og fin betjening. Receptionisten var lidt afmålt og tøvende overfor at efterkomme ønsker, der var helt rimelige.

Bij inchecken moesten we eerst bellen en wachten tot er iemand kwam. Entree heeft echt aandacht nodig!! Net als onze kamer. Een luchtfan die zoveel herrie maakt dat die echt uit moet. Tv met 2 werkende kanalen. 2 pers kamer met 1 gewone. Koffie zakje. Karton bekertje voor de koffie. Het restaurant was netjes en schoon en hoed onderhouden zo te xien. Ontbijt in gewoon maar netjes.

Dans l'ensemble l'hébergement est très convenable par rapport à son prix, cependant nous avons pris une chambre avec terrasse ou nous pensions avoir un espace intime. Ce n'est pas le cas, la terrasse se trouve en fond d'une allée où les vélos sont à disposition et où des clients passent pour accéder à leur logement, aucune intimité dommage. Le parking gratuit également très petit 4 voitures maximum nous avons dû nous garer ailleurs.
