The Casitas section in which we stayed was beautiful; enormous room/suite and everything spotless. Great housekeeping daily, the grounds manicured, the pools delightful. Food in the various restaurants was good, not great, and a little pricy. The main pool area very nice - the waterpark great for the family for a few hours, and the private island was gorgeous. Downsides: was encouraged to order groceries for the room and sent a list as directed to the concierge. No groceries when we arrived, so ordered again. Pricey. They were delivered - but we were missing at least a quarter of what we had ordered and no refund! Much better idea is to get an Uber to the nearest market and do your own shopping. I wish too that we'd gone ahead and left the complex to Uber to local restaurants. The biggest, best thing about this place is the service. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful and happy to help. Loved that!

Was not accommodating our requests. Did not provide any birthday celebratory items in room as requested even after receiving a text to confirm we would. Calls were never reachable to concierge or front desk and had multiple charges on card for parking which was not handled in a reasonable way.

The hotel is excellent in every way. There's nothing negative to say, and nothing to recommend for improvement. I've visited several hotels in Puerto Rico, but this one exceeded my expectations. It's a hotel I'd definitely return to.

I was worried about the boat lines to Palomino Island during Easter Week/Spring Break. I shouldn't have, as they has boats every 30 minutes. Arrive by 11am to get a lounge chair on the island. Otherwise, lounge chairs free back up around 1:30pm or 2pm. Island was great. Hotel was at full capacity. Up top pools were packed, but the water park had space. Great place for families, as evidenced by how many there were. Lots of traveling up and down and up and down. I found the hotel restaurants outrageously expensive - even more than Hawaii. We never ate at the hotel. However, we walked 5 minutes outside the ferry launched and found 5 local restaurants that were more local, including one really local called El Ricar (I think). Definitely try to stay in the Marina area. Overall, there's lots to do and the hotel is huge. But you definitely pay, which adds up via taxes, resort fees and parking ($20US inc taxes). That said, there aren't too many resorts around, so would recommend, but know going in the place is on par with US / California type prices.
