Strawberry Hill is just the most fantastic location with spectacular views and a really relaxed vibe. The hotel itself is a little tired now and whilst couldn’t really be called luxurious in today’s world has a unique and impressive back story. Top marks here should go to the gardeners for their quite stunning work, the chef and cooking staff who made a pretty good effort and housekeeping who always made our room up very nicely each day. It’s a little pricey in the bar and the wine is dreadfully expensive. Pool was very well maintained and a lovely place to just drift off in the afternoon.

Amazing retreat in the mountains, with excellent rooms, excellent views, excellent service. Only slight knock would be on amenities, as it is a remote location, on site amenities were all the more important, and while not inadequate for a short stay, the restaurant menu was the same each day and got old by day two for those on a more constrained diet (though the kitchen was fully accommodating with special requests) and other on site facilities would have been nice (the shop barely had enough items to fill a single shelf). Not big in the context of our two day stays given the brilliant service and stunning views. For those driving themselves, be advised the roads up can be very steep and a little precarious. Would certainly book again.

A beautiful hotel overlooking much of Kingston. If the pool was heated it could have been even more enjoyable since the night view from that vantage is really great but other than that we really enjoyed our time.

The property is gorgeous, staff is very friendly and amenities are top tier. The only reason I didn’t rate 5 is due to the experience I had with the transfer service offered by the hotel. Not only was the driver very fast going up hill and no where in communications with the hotel was the cost of the transfer mentioned. Go for the spa & restaurant but arrange your own transportation.

It’s not only a beautiful place with magnificent views but the staff is incredible and the food was delicious. Even the massages at the spa was perfect. I will definitely go back there. The drive up the mountain is not easy but doable, just be careful and go slowly. The locals will beep at you and go around you but that’s ok!

This hotel was just sold, and the service was HORRIBLE. The towels had holes, the service was slow, I wanted an upgrade and although the hotel was almost empty, they wanted to charge me $400 for a room upgrade, so I went online and bought a second room for $336. All the staff were on their cell phones the entire time. The room was not cleaned until 3pm and I had to call to get it done. The person in the reception area told me to get the soda bottles out of the trash and empty the liquid first...she said this to the guest!! We left at 5am and we were told security would help us with the luggage up SIX flights of steps, and they were sleeping when we left and we had to do it ourselves. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! ONE STAR

Staying here felt like a dreamy escape into nature. It was as if we were sleeping among the treetops! The lush surroundings and panoramic views over Kingston were absolutely breathtaking. The rooms were full of charm, evoking that classic, old-school Jamaican vibe that made the experience feel authentic and cozy. Service was attentive and warm, and the food? Simply delicious! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay in Jamaica. My photos does not do it justice! My only hiccup was calling to confirm my reservation on the day before travelling up the hill - the first staff member was unable to confirm my reservation on the first attempt after I provided name but after calling the central office I was called back and informed that I was actually confirmed but was initially told I wasn't due to me saying I booked a suite vs a cottage, providing my name or confirmation number was not sufficient it seems. Upon arrival, everything about the property was excellent - great food, environment and service.

What a wonderful resort! Being there in person and experiencing the location and accommodation exceeded all of our expectations. Just the view alone overlooking the city of Kingston or sunset or the mountains or the grounds and its lush gardens is very memorable and impressive. The staff is wonderful and made sure that all of our needs were met. The restaurant is outstanding and we were a party of seven that truly enjoyed all of our meals. Even though our stay was short we would definitely return and spend more time in having another Strawberry experience.

Amazing views and lovely grounds but the service was very poor. Breakfast took over an hour to arrive after ordering despite being just fried eggs and toast and bags were also not picked up for over an hour at checkout.

Sadly our check in experience was not good a very sullen wanted to charge us fir taxes which I had already pre paid and should her the email to prove .. she then took as to the furthest room 75 steps down wet wooden steps the hotel was not full ! Breakfast was dreadful 2 small pieces unripe pineapple and a dried up old orange … no espresso as machine broken !but the hotel as a great vibe with lovely photos of pop stars who have stayed there … one lovely waitress .. amazing views but I feel the love has gone out of this hotel ! Infact when leaving in taxi they would not open the gate as aid we owed for a water which we had paid for ! Great location views and vibe .

Staying here felt like a dreamy escape into nature. It was as if we were sleeping among the treetops! The lush surroundings and panoramic views over Kingston were absolutely breathtaking. The rooms were full of charm, evoking that classic, old-school Jamaican vibe that made the experience feel authentic and cozy. Service was attentive and warm, and the food? Simply delicious! Only slight knock would be on amenities, as it is a remote location, on site amenities were all the more important, and while not inadequate for a short stay, the restaurant menu was the same each day and got old by day two for those on a more constrained diet (though the kitchen was fully accommodating with special requests) and other on site facilities would have been nice (the shop barely had enough items to fill a single shelf). It’s not only a beautiful place with magnificent views but the staff is incredible and the food was delicious. Even the massages at the spa was perfect. I will definitely go back there. The drive up the mountain is not easy but doable, just be careful and go slowly. The locals will beep at you and go around you but that’s ok!

We spent 2 Nights here during our anniversary and we were just stunned. Everybody is so friendly, Food was amazing and they serve excellent Cocktails. The view on Kingston and the surrounding hills is just amazing. It is a perfect Place to stay and would recommend it to anybody who wants to have a unique experience.

What a wonderful resort! Being there in person and experiencing the location and accommodation exceeded all of our expectations. Just the view alone overlooking the city of Kingston or sunset or the mountains or the grounds and its lush gardens is very memorable and impressive. The staff is wonderful and made sure that all of our needs were met. The restaurant is outstanding and we were a party of seven that truly enjoyed all of our meals. Even though our stay was short we would definitely return and spend more time in having another Strawberry experience.

Strawberry Hill is just the most fantastic location with spectacular views and a really relaxed vibe. The hotel itself is a little tired now and whilst couldn’t really be called luxurious in today’s world has a unique and impressive back story. Top marks here should go to the gardeners for their quite stunning work, the chef and cooking staff who made a pretty good effort and housekeeping who always made our room up very nicely each day. It’s a little pricey in the bar and the wine is dreadfully expensive. Pool was very well maintained and a lovely place to just drift off in the afternoon.

The property is gorgeous, staff is very friendly and amenities are top tier. The only reason I didn’t rate 5 is due to the experience I had with the transfer service offered by the hotel. Not only was the driver very fast going up hill and no where in communications with the hotel was the cost of the transfer mentioned. Go for the spa & restaurant but arrange your own transportation.

Pristine is the word I’ll use to describe the grounds of Strawberry Hills. Felt like I was close to heaven🙂 because we were so far in the mountains of Irish Town, St Andrew. The rooms were immaculately maintained and the decor complimented the architectural period of the cottages. We woke up early to witness a magnificent sunrise then enjoy a fresh delicious breakfast. From Demario who greeted us upon our arrival to Kevin who assisted us with our luggage to Jassett who exemplified customer service greatness while caring for our breakfast needs. I didn’t want to leave but life… I hope to return but if life doesn’t allow me the opportunity to, I can say Strawberry Hill has filled spaces in my heart lost to the bustle of life.
