Super 8 by Wyndham Amsterdam

Property is away from any other businesses and buildings, therefore quiet and seemingly safe surroundings. At night, it was a bit difficult to see the entrance off the highway.

Online site said there was an elevator. We asked for a ground floor as we are ladies in our late 70’s, with one of us stair challenged. We had to drag our luggage up to the second floor. Had we known this, we would have booked elsewhere

Great place for an overnight. Very clean. Ice maker fridge and mucrowave if necessary. Front desk staff is pleasant. Request first flior if you cannot do stairs as there is no elevator

Nice size room, clean and comfortable. Found nails and other sharp objects in parking areas due to construction Staff was excellent.

Rooms were clean , hallways had a sleight smell .Outside of building under construction.

This property is under major construction. They start 8:00 in morning so don't expect to sleep in. Parking is also a pain late at night.

This hotel was under renovation and was almost unrecognizable as a hotel. I had to ask workmen where the entrance was. It’s in a vast ugly area off a highway. No landscaping, no signage to speak of, no signs explaining the mess. At check in I found I must pay a $100 deposit in the event there is damage to the room when I leave. That was a first. I’m a 76 year old woman, not likely to destroy the place, but I paid up. I was assigned a room on the far back end of the hotel. I had to drive around to the back to find this obscure door. A man who was a guest at the hotel waved me to show where to park, and he unlocked the door with his room key to let me in. My room was directly inside on the right. He held the exterior door while I entered, then announced his room number just down the hall, saying I could call if I needed anything. I thanked him and went into my room, locking my door immediately. In two minutes there was a hard knock on my door. I was alarmed and asked who it was. I’m from room 113, he said. I’m not opening my door, I said. He then said he wanted to know if I’d like a drink. I said no. This frightened me of course. A first in my travel experiences. I then callled reception and explained my fear. Nicole was immediately helpful and respectful. She agreed that his behavior was inappropriate, and suggested a room change. She came to my door shortly after, walked me to a room at the front of the hotel. Then she walked me to get my car. I felt safer but won’t return.

The outside was all torn apart and messy. Side door was propped open with a 5 gallon bucket.

The room was clean and quiet and updated. Check in was easy. In room coffee much appreciated. The property was clean and quiet and safe. Would stay here again

Its location was close to Hi 90 which made it both convenient for our trip, but also a bit noisy from the traffic. Price made it a very good value.

Very clean, very nice room. Check in area needs an upgrade.

The heating cooling vent were filled with dust and looks like coffee spilt all over it. Unfortunately there were bugs and j got numerous bites. Breakfast was just muffins and poorly tasting coffee. Will never go again

There was a roach in my bathroom. My other friends stayed at another room and roaches were crwling on the ceiling and wall. The place serious extermination. The breakfast was only a muffin , cofee ,tea and juice. At least fruit or yogurt would have been a good addition, the advertisement does say breakfast included !!!! 🙄🙄🙄

I liked the safe and quiet place. I did not like no tv closed caption for the hearing impaired. Also could not use internet for closed caption YouTube either due to high volume of WiFi power users in the motel at night and morning except in the afternoon.

Broken air conditioner cover fell on daughter back and nothing was done. Told front desk about and they stayed he would have housekeeping look into it.

Comfortable, clean, and quiet. Issue with their system so we couldn't check in when we arrived, but had no problem when we came back late after a concert. Minimal toiletries. And "breakfast" consisted of coffee, juice, bagels, and muffins (although the muffins must've been gone by the time I went to check at 7:45am). Overall a good experience and we would stay again.

Strong compared to other Super 8s in the area. Normal Super 8 smell in halls and room. Great check in staff. Comfortable room. Like most Super 8s the shower curtain hasn’t been changed. Bathtub showing age. Otherwise superb.

Easy to find , right off NY Truway . Spacious and comfortable Room.

After paying for the night on Expedia told at check in only a credit card could be used for deposit. That was not advertised. Still have not been issued a refund

Supposedly came with a free breakfast... had a couple of squashed muffins and a cold egg on an English muffin. No cereal, no bread to toast, no fruit, no nothing! Check in took too long and they recharged my credit card 9 times. Didn't seem to know what they were doing. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel was difficult to find and Google maps didn't seem to know where it was.

The front desk attendant when we arrived on Thursday night was probably the worst I have seen at a front desk role. He was sitting outside the desk on a couch when we arrived, and didn't even acknowledge that he was the hotel employee. We were looking around trying to find someone, then he moved behind the desk - without saying a word. No greeting. He was a terrible representation of your brand! Barely talked, gave no information. Had a mean, almost scary demeanor. It seems he put information into the computer incorrectly since we got an automated checkout notice in email addressed to "Ray", and my name is not Ray. We had prepaid on Expedia so the proper information should have already been there. You should dismiss this employee to save your reputation, or at a minimum provide intensive customer service training, and schedule him for day shift so he can be observed and coached.

Plenty of truck parking available. Staff was friendly. Room clean. Management was pleasant.

Clean and staff were polite, however there was a extra chatged in my credit card that once noticed it was removed.

The woman who helped us check in at the front desk, I believe her name was Renée, was so kind and helpful. She was very personable. We were a bit disappointrd at the lack of continental breakfast as we were under the impression it was included with our stay. Instead we enjoyed breakfast at a local cafe and that was wonderful.

I only spent one night and checked in pm and left am. There were restaurants on the area but I never took advantage of them. Quiet enough. Nothing startling. I’d stay again.

Isolated from restaurants

The property was easy to find as it was right off the exit. But, the location being so close to the thruway confused the gps software.

Convenient location (right off the main highway) for a layover during your travels. Hotel was clean. Check-in and out was fast and efficient.

It has been remodeled since our last stay. Our room was very nice and the bed and pillows comfortable. They are no longer pet friendly ☹️. It is close to the center of Amsterdam but there is really nothing immediately surrounding it. It has easy access from I 90.

The room was comfortable and clean, nice tv in the room. The continental breakfast was not great, no coffee or juice. It was comprised of prepackaged muffins and tea bags with hot water. If juice machine and coffee machines are broke then repair, replace or remove them.

Friendly staff. Convenient location. Good coffee but not much else for breakfast . We went to nearby Dunkin Donuts

Staff was friendly, but room smelled musty. They said breakfast was from 6-9am, but when we went to get some at 8:30, there were 2 packaged muffins, that was it.

Our stay was good. Hotel was clean and comfy, good value for the money. Only wish the breakfast was more than bagels.

They should not advertise breakfast. They only have coffee, orange or apple juice and two different pre-packaged muffins. Nothing more.

I don't think you can call it a location that includes breakfast... There were 4 muffins, stale bagels, watered down coffee and juice. This is not acceptable
