I really enjoyed my stay here. It was very clean and very attractive! The view is awesome! It looks out on Penobscot Bay. The huge yard that goes to the ocean is great. There are several lawn games set up there, volleyball, corn hold, a huge chess board, etc. You can go down to the small beach and collect shells and just bask in the sun and the view. The fact that pet friendly rooms are on ground level makes it so easy to take your dog out. Adirondack chairs outside of your door make it great to have morning coffee with your dog! My dog especially loved the big back yard. We went down to the shore and he had a ball. Bright red dog bowls and treats really make your pet feel at home. There is a big deck off from the lobby with tables and chairs, couches and a firepit. It's wonderful to sit out there with a cocktail and enjoy the stars and ocean breeze! The pool and hot tub are beautiful. One of my favorite amenities there. We also appreciated the "adult swim" hours. Having 24 hour front desk employees is a great bonus if you need anything. It also makes you feel more safe. 24 hour coffee and all kinds of tea is so nice. They offer breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, soda and a few snacks that you can purchase. The whole staff is very nice and helpful. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends!

When I was preparing to book a hotel I noticed some fairly poor reviews for the Fireside Inn along with a lot of very positive ones, so I took the chance. So glad that I did!!! From the moment I arrived every interaction with the staff was positive. There was always somebody at the desk and they were always glad to help. The facility itself isn't new, but they keep it up well. It was clean and everything worked. The amenities were beyond what they advertised or that I expected. Yes, there is a Keurig machine in every room, but they also have a 24 hour beverage bar with coffees, teas, and even cold brew and lattes. The pool and hot tub were spotless and in perfect order. Outdoors they have an abundance of activities on the property. They even have a collection of books and games available if you needed an indoor time filler. They maintain a selection of snacks, beverages, and breakfast items for sale at reasonable prices. My room was as advertised with two queen beds available, mini fridge, microwave, Keurig machine and a good sized television. I only with the the chair for the table was a bit higher and easier to move, a small gripe. Wifi service was excellent. The two things that caught my eye when I was choosing a hotel were the views and the fireplace. The view of the bay was stunning, and the fireplace offered a special touch to the room. Room service was daily and left the room in spotless condition. Overall, this was a great place to stay, I strongly recommend it,

It was only for one night but really alpreciated the location. Gorgeous grounds that run to the water. The beds were comfy. In room Coffee but always ready in the foyer area. Nice little local store as well.

Hotel is very well maintained. Beautiful property and very clean. One take away which will prevent us from going back is the beds. They are very hard and springy. Every move either my husband or I made was felt by the other. And there was a lot of movement as neither of us could get comfortable. We only were able to sleep (about 4.5 hours) because we were exhausted. I gave up trying to sleep after waking up at 5am uncomfortable for the second time. We checked out before 8am, skipped the coffee and hit the road.

The gym was great with an excellent view of the bay. Francis was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable about the area. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The balcony was a great place to sip coffee in the morning. We loved the massage chair. We will stay again if we get back to Maine.
