Super 8 by Wyndham Cromwell/Middletown

The hotel was very sketchy -- bad vibes. The room smelled. We saw a cockroach. But I think the thing that really ruined it for me was being awakened by a strange sound around midnight. It sounded like a gigantic rusty fan. We called the front desk twice before someone answered and they told us everything was fine, not to worry. However, a few minutes later the fire department was pounding on our door hollering at us "Fire! Get out!" I guess that noise the front desk told us to ignore was some kind of alarm? The fire department got everything under control, but we felt it would be best if we left. We did not feel safe. As I was walking out, the guy at the front desk asked if we had been inconvenienced. Uh -- yes. I will never return to this hotel. I don't recommend it. I wish them good luck in the future -- they have a lot of work ahead of them if they want to improve this place.

They kept my deposit even though we left the room spotless

The bed and pillows smelled like piss the shower clogged up I didn’t stay complete loss of money

Roaches in rooms felt very uncomfortable after they put me and my child in a different room

The place was infested with roaches so obviously we left. Now I have to try and get my money refunded from Hotels.com. So far they have not replied to my request. I took videos and some dead roaches to the health department so they will deal with motel.
