Pool is closed staff has no idea when it will open, fitness room is HOT and all the video monitors are broken "out of order". Reservation was lost. Credit card chip reader at front desk does not work and employees must manual entry the C.C. Breakfast is just okay with very few healthy choices. Just not a great experience

We have stayed at this hotel before in 2020 and it was all good. This time our car plus another 6 or more cars were all broken into. Our windows were smashed in and we had to get our car home that day since we had no glass in the windows. We had to walk over to the home Depot nearby to get supplies to clean car seats the best we could and tape the windows for the 3 hr drive home. We spoke to the police and he said because the hotels in area we stayed at are close to the interstate that vandals smash and grab and get back on the interstate, plus Durham NC is one of the highest crime cities in NC now next to Charlotte NC. If you take the chance there, the hotel and rooms were very clean and comfy. Too bad we can't stay there anymore. We only stay in Durham for my husbands Drs appt at Duke. We had an appt this morning ( Sept 10th) but we left yesterday the 9th due to this incident. The hotel had cameras but that doesn't matter to vandals. Hope this helps others. If you stay un Durham Id say stay where there is a parking garage. We were NOT charged for the 2nd day. Everyone at the hotel are very nice. Others who work at the hotels said this has happened several times at this hotel so beware. Good Luck.

Hotel itself was great. Property not so much. Parking lot adjoined comfort inn. Since we had 2 bed suite front clerk old us to park in rear as would be closer. No security or Cameras and 3 vehicles had windows smashed in next to ours. Ours was good thankfully. Need security.

We had a suite, which was spacious for our family of 5. The cons were that the water didn't get very hot in the shower, no ice machine,and no indoor pool. We visited in March, so the outdoor pool was closed.

The suites were very spacious with a full kitchen. The breakfast was very nice. I very much enjoyed the outdoor pool, but the water needed to be skimmed or have a net available for people to skim out bugs themselves. The hotel was clean, but minor updates of peeling wallpaper at the baseboards would be ideal. This hotel was priced very affordable for what you got.

The suites were very spacious with a full kitchen. The breakfast was very nice. I very much enjoyed the outdoor pool, but the water needed to be skimmed or have a net available for people to skim out bugs themselves. The hotel was clean, but minor updates of peeling wallpaper at the baseboards would be ideal. This hotel was priced very affordable for what you got.

The overall hotel and stay was fine, but we did have a couple areas that were disappointing. Unfortunately the pool was closed and it was very hot during our stay. We did try the other hotel pool but it was not clean so we did not use that one either. The breakfast was nice in appearance but 2 of the 3 mornings hot hard boiled eggs were served - I'd have to say the general population is not a fan of hard boiled eggs... We ended up having to go out for breakfast which is frustrating when it was included in our stay.

Staff was awesome , room was clean and very comfortable ! Ac was kicking which was great ! Room has great set-up for family stay . Now the bad ! Booked this hotel along with other familys as kids were playing in baseball tournament . Boys played 2 games in middle of day , hot and humid , feel like temp 104 plus on field . When games were over the whole team just wanted to get too hotel and hit the pool . Well guess what the pool was closed because they just painted . Who the heck shuts down there pool in the middle of july on a weekend ???? this was a key factor in booking this hotel as well ! Some common sense needs to prevail as you do thus type of work in off season , not july ! Not a sorry , not a portion refund , just we have a sister hotel you can use there pool !

For the location and price, the property and room were ok. Cleanliness could have been better. We also found ants and spiders in our room. Overall, I would only recommend if you are needing to stay a night or two.

Hotel accommodations were adequate and the people were nice - but this hotel room is a bit tired and in need of a refresh. Never-the-less it did provide us with a good bed. Kitchen is nice to have. Chairs sit too low vs the counter. Shower mechanism works but is in need of adjustment or replacement.

The rooms need updating and maintenance. The shower faucet was loose and furniture was very dated and in disrepair. The staff was very friendly but a better job cleaning and vacuuming would be helpful.

Turns out the cleaning staff only work every other day. We checked in and didn't notice that was the case and was not made aware of this practice. Our luck, we were the off day. We came back to the room the following evening to find an unmade bed, no new towels, etc. I was made to feel it was my mistake not to know this was the case. I got a set of towels...not a great experience.

Front desk staff (Liberty) was cordial and accommodating. The room was clean. The breakfast was bountiful and the staff kept everything stocked well. Altogether very nice stay.Thanks

The Property was unable to hold up there end of the reservation. Drove 7 hours and was on a tight timeline to meet family for dinner then attend our event after. We were in a hurry to get ready and 10 minutes before arrival I get a call saying that the hotel does not have a two bed bedroom available and all you all have is a King Bed left. We are two older gentlemen with back problems and using a pull out couch which is acceptable for kids, NOT ADULTS was the only available room. Then come to find out I was charged on my Credit card an UPGRADE. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and very FRUSTRATING that I even had to call AGAIN to remove the charge! The front desk lady was not accommodating and I asked if you all had 2 rooms available, her excuse was they were not ready yet. So she put us regardless in a room with a pull out sofa and had the edacity to charge us more! What kind of business is this. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Will NEVER STAY in your hotel chain again, and have been a frequent user iof the hotel chain in the past!

The Property was unable to hold up there end of the reservation. Drove 7 hours and was on a tight timeline to meet family for dinner then attend our event after. We were in a hurry to get ready and 10 minutes before arrival I get a call saying that the hotel does not have a two bed bedroom available and all you all have is a King Bed left. We are two older gentlemen with back problems and using a pull out couch which is acceptable for kids, NOT ADULTS was the only available room. Then come to find out I was charged on my Credit card an UPGRADE. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and very FRUSTRATING that I even had to call AGAIN to remove the charge! The front desk lady was not accommodating and I asked if you all had 2 rooms available, her excuse was they were not ready yet. So she put us regardless in a room with a pull out sofa and had the edacity to charge us more! What kind of business is this. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Will NEVER STAY in your hotel chain again, and have been a frequent user iof the hotel chain in the past!

The day of arrival I called to confirm the reservation. At that time, I explained I would be arriving late and I was assured the three rooms on my reservation would be held for me. I was even given rooms numbers. When I arrived, the front desk said they only had one room, instead of 3. They then treated me like I was wrong to be upset about the situation. My husband had to drive 2 hours in the middle of the night with part of our group. The rest of my group had to pile into the 1 room. Do not book here because they do not take a proper inventory of their reservations!

2nd stay here for business and both times cold showers in the evening and the morning. 2nd time worker at the breakfast area was rude and talked down to people. Front desk lady was less than helpful and not so friendly either. When I asked her about the consistent problem of not having hot water for showers. Her reply was “I’m not the GM, come back or call Brittany”. Night shift lady was awesome. She was more than helpful during check in. This place is clean and has potential, but the rude and hateful lady at the breakfast area is enough to forgo staying here. Do stay here for that reason and if you want a warm shower because it won’t happen!!!

Pool is closed staff has no idea when it will open, fitness room is HOT and all the video monitors are broken "out of order". Reservation was lost. Credit card chip reader at front desk does not work and employees must manual entry the C.C. Breakfast is just okay with very few healthy choices. Just not a great experience

This was our third stay and we will never stay there again! First we were on the the third floor in a suite which was roach infested! I notified the front desk and they said they were moving us to a suite with a balcony which they did move us but not to a balcony room which was okay. I got everything moved by myself as my husband was in the hospital after open heart surgery. I had not even unpacked when I saw a cockroach crawling across the kitchen counter! I immediately went to Walmart and bought roach spray and bait motels. At 2am there were earwigs spiders and cockroaches in my room! I left and went to the hospital and spent the night there.. That was on 8/10/26 our reservation was scheduled through 8/3 - 8/13 upon returning to the hotel with my husband on 8/10 my room key had been deactivated so I could not get into the hotel! I got my poor husband back into the vehicle and went to the front desk. I did make them aware of the roach infestation etc and requested that my reservation be canceled as of the next morning! Also I ran into another guest who also stated that they had also had to switch rooms due to non stop construction and roaches in their first room as well as them in their second room. I get the impression that they are very aware of the situation and they really don’t care! Also the pool was not usable for to a algae issue which I mentioned to them as well! I did report all of this to Hilton corporate and sent them pictures of the pool and the bugs!

When we first arrived our room had a non-working ceiling fan and AC that didn't get cooler than 71 even though it was set to 63 upon entering the room. However, they switched us to another room with working AC and fan. They were renovating the breakfast room so they said that it was to be served on the second floor as a "grab and go" style. But when we got there there was still construction tape around the second floor area but they went ahead and served a mediocre breakfast in the newly carpeted area despite not having time for the rug glue to dry. Not great communication between staff but they were very nice and accommodating.

This was an amazing trip. Homewood suites was great I love this place stayed here a few times in the past. We stayed 4 days place was very clean staff was awesome breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Can’t wait to return again.
