Best Western Plus Liverpool-Syracuse Inn & Suites

Pool and hot tub were closed, no refund given even though amenities were closed. Garbages in my room weren’t emptied, bathroom was dirty, no towels in my room.

Booked it for pool and hot tub amenities but upon arrival discovered they were closed

We booked because it had a pool and gym. Neither of which were desirable to attend, with the gym in particular stinking like mildew. The staff said there was no window that could be opened to remove the smell. The pool had a film over it. Our room had two queen beds for our family of three. Only two towels in the room, when we asked for another we were told that they were all in laundry.

Indoor pool water is extremely too cold. Couldnt use the pool during our stay.

Room wasn’t ready 90 mins after check in. TV was broke, shower handle would fall off, breakfast was limited and poor quality. Pool and hot tub was out of commission.

I have stayed multiple times previously however this stay I am disappointed to report that the entire hotel was dirty. The hallways seem to have been neglected to be vacuumed, lots of trash and linens in the hallway for long periods of time. Mold in the pool area, chewed gum on the floor and no towels after the pool use. There was peanut butter on the coffee maker, hair in the bed linens. The shower would not work, only the tub. Hoping they were short staffed of just an off day!

While the room was spacious, comfortable and surprisingly quiet, it was not Best Western standard clean. Black mildew in the toilet bowl for example. The entire hotel, especially the hallways smelled bad like stale cigarette smoke. It was also interesting that the hotel bill showed a total price of $ 93.62 less than what Expedia had charged us. It was a same day booking. Answer from Expedia was that this extra amount covers Expedia’s cost of running the booking platform. That was a new one! Beware!

Very dirty but the front desk girl at the end did end up comping us a night also head of housekeeping was fantastic amen we finally got our room clean 24 hours later

Room was dirty and dusty, no shower curtain in the bathroom, no hot water. We checked late, and went to sleep. Woke up to shower to attend a funeral and realized there was no shower curtain and went to do a bird bath and there was no hot water. In addition the door to the room, which is a fire door, did not latch properly and needed to be pulled all the way closed. When I went to the front desk, non management was great and apologetic. The manager was guilting and shaming of me for “Not reporting it the night before”. Then was “teaching” his staff about guests like me- in the open. Unprofessional.

The first room we were given was filthy. Asked for a second room and that was filthy, too. Trash and tissues on floor, food on the rug, stained bedding, dirty bathroom, etc. No towels in the room, and none were made available until 10:20 a.m. the NEXT day. No towels for pool, either. And there was NO shower curtain! I had to ask for one at the front desk! Hallway full of trash and cleaning rags scattered about. Didn’t see food for continental breakfast- must have missed it, even though we were down there early. We should have left and gone somewhere else, but we had to get to a tournament, and this is where teammates were staying.

It was nice the staff was amazing, but the pool is falling apart and water is cloudy. The hot tub had so much skin in it that when you step in it moves. Cob webs in the room and dust balls (not bunnies) in the room.

Checked into the hotel and our room was not clean at all. Hair in the tub, bed and floors, dirt all over the floors.

If it wasn’t so late at night we would of went somewhere else, but with young children and being on the road for 9 hours we were exhausted, the staff was friendly but the hallway leading to the room was filthy and had a bad odor. The room was dirty as well, did not look cleaned, dirt all over the floor and surfaces as well as the sheets, we used our blankets we brought, there was hair in our towels and wash cloths, the room had a terrible odor. Breakfast was ok, juice, milk and coffee were all watered down. At least the staff were friendly.

Unfortunately my experience was below average, mainly due to poor cleaning. Hallway floors had crumbs in several places, staff are smoking right outside the door and then come right back inside with the smell wafting. Pool area was not cleaned over the weekend (hair everywhere and even an artificial nail on the deck), hot tub jets not working which means the water gets close to no filtering. Dust in all corners of the room, stained towels and ripped sheets. Really nice cook but the kitchen is poorly stocked with no yogurts; muffins and eggs ran out on the 2nd day, bagels were stale, coffee mediocre. Nothing one would expect of Best Western.

Upon arrival we were checked in quickly (no pre-check) by a woman who looked like she had worked too many hours. We were given an informational sheet with important hotel information regarding check out, the pool, quiet time, parties, and wifi. Our room was acceptable, but could have been better. There was a stain on one comforter and a large stain on the lamp shade. The room and bathroom seemed clean otherwise. Our room did not have any shampoo left in the bottle and there was apparently none in the hotel at all to restock it. This was particularly annoying after getting in the pool and hot tub. The pool area was clean overall, but the jets did not work in the hot tub and it was filled with soap scum (shampoo would have been REALLY nice to have). The food for breakfast was okay and there were many options including pancakes, 2 meats, eggs, oatmeal, toast/bagel, muffins, yogurt, and fruit. The apple juice had run out and there was no mix at all for the orange juice. Orange juice cartons that were put in the fridge were small and frozen (my son got one), but by the time I made it there, they were gone and no one came to restock. After our experience, I am not sure that I will return.

The room itself was good, but the AC/heating system used in it is outdated. The day night were cold and although we had the heater on, often the system pumped cold air in, to level the temperature, making the entire room colder. Also, the pod tray in the coffee machine was not there and I had to engineer means to brew some coffee at 06:00AM…

Ran out of TP and tissues, asked for more, and they were left on a counter and not installed. Dirty ceiling and frayed bed-ruffle made room feel unclean. Very convenient location, though.

Pillows were really bad. Stiff neck still. Had alot of issues with the Ac not getting cokd enough and the tub/shower is very good for anyone with a bigger body.

Location was ok. Staff very nice. Beds comfortable. Close to highway so a bit noisy when trying to sleep. Like that there is an indoor pool and hot tub, however, it looks like they have water damage they are trying to fix and there was an area in the pool area on the ceiling with a lot of black mold on it. Also, only two bath towels were in the room for three guests and we ended up having to ask at the front desk for a roll of toilet paper since no extra rolls in our bathroom and there was not much on the roll when we checked in. Another issue was that there was supposed to be free wifi and when we tried to join, it didn’t even show up in the list of wifi to use on any of our devices, so no wifi at all.

I had the jetted tub room. There was hair around the tub when i checked into my room. I wasn't sure there was hot water in my room. After running the water for several minutes and never got hot water, I called the desk 2 or 3 times and the desk never answered. I then just left the hot water running for forever and it finally got hot.

There was a fake eyelash in the tub, no microwave. The shower didn’t get hot and the refrigerator didn’t get cold.

Everything was very nice. Except my queen bed was terrible to sleep on and remote did not work on the tv

The key would not work on the door, so I could not get in or out of the room and the evening receptionist was indifferent to the situation. There was no hot water for the shower, they did not care. The a/c unit sounded like a truck and was never fixed.

Overall - bad experience. The property sits adjacent to a Lockheed Martin parking lot. There is a retention pond at the front of the property, along with a grassy area that appears to be mowed. The pond is covered in algae and is not pleasant. The building is low-slung, with two floors, and the carpets and rooms are not clean. There are very few outlets, so it's hard to plug in your devices. The lunchroom at the front is drab. I did not get a look at the pool or the meals they served. One of the mattresses appeared to have an extensive wet stain along the bottom. Both matresses were old and sunk in the middle and leaned to one side.

We came for the Nationals. The staff was very friendly. The rooms, 3 couples had 3 king suites, were clean and spacious. Picnic tables with a pond view made it nice to sit and relax after a long day of walking. Even with having a showcar and truck and trailer, there was safe parking.

Went for a concert and a visit to Copperstown. The hot tub was great, excellent breakfast as well. Staff was very accommodating, anything we needed we got right away. Highly recommend this property will most certainly stay there on our next visit to Syracuse. A++

This place is terrible. The check in receptionist, an Indian lady attitude is rude and terrible. For the deposit, she asked me swipe credit twice, actually after first time swiped card, she said it wasn’t successful but I saw the machine shows processing and then approved, then I check my online banking it shows one transaction on pending. However, she refused check in and forced me to swipe credit card again. As results, I show my online banking showing two transactions under pending which means it was double charged. However, she argued she only charged one time, asked me call her manager. And then I said can you double check with your manager both pending transactions will be released after check out, and she said her manager is off. Overall conversation her attitude was so rude. I never had this experience in any hotel before. I rate zero out of ten for this hotel as the receptionist is unprofessional and rude.

The staff at BW was so accommodating and very nice with every interaction.

We arrived at the hotel at 4:00, check in time was 3:00. They told me our room wasn’t clean for another 15-20 minutes. Then I went up to the desk 20 minutes later still not ready. Repeat another 2 times, with them telling me the same exact thing. Finally I said we had an event to get ready for I needed our room. Then told me cleaners were on “break”. It was absolutely ridiculous and very unprofessional, not to mention when we finally got our room we had little to no time to get ready to leave for our event that we had planned. They have no care of the inconvenience that it caused for us. Check in was 3:00, very poor planning on the hotel. So many people there that were in the same predicament as us.

When I called the front desk they didn’t answer. I called and waited on the line for 5 minutes. Also the a/c would turn and off throughout the night.

Booked hotel months ahead of time with a 3pm check in and wasn't able to get into my room until closer to 6pm. Several people in the lobby were experiencing the same issue. There was no manager on duty, so the poor woman at reception was getting yelled at by all of these people for the issue with the room and no one was there to help her. Best Western doesn't care about their employees and would rather leave an over worked and underpaid staff member to take the brunt of people's anger all alone than have a manager on duty. I will not be returning.

The coffee maker didn't work, I didn't get my wake-up call ( I had my phone but I asked for a wake-up call just in case) I had an early flight The floor was sticky The front desk didn't answer the phone I still have received my receipt which they said tey would email yesterday

Booked a month ago. When I arrived they said there wasn’t a room available yet I would have to wait 15-20 minutes. It ended up being 45 minutes

BW Liverpool was a good hotel for the price. It was clean, the service was good, and the included breakfast was good. We were close to I-90 so getting back on the highway was quick and easy. We would stay there again when passing through the area.

The location of this hotel right near the NYS thruway is good. The area surrounding the hotel offers nothing on the way of charm. It does border Lockheed Martin so convenient if you are going there for business. The rooms are large and well equiped. But the hotel is really starting to show its age and look worn. Overall this hotel is reasonably priced with nice size rooms. A good value .

Property seemed well kept inside/out, rooms were clean (had a funky smell at first) and orderly. There was an easy check in/out and it was close to the airport, which was our main purpose for a hotel in this area.

The manager was super friendly and helpful! The common areas (lobby, breakfast area, front desk) were nicely kept. Once I got in my room things changed. Light on night stand only worked on one side, bathroom mirror had been broken and poorly glued, air/heat unit made a terrible squealing noise, and toilet wouldn’t stop running. Bathroom had not been cleaned well… mirror had an obvious mess sprayed across the entire middle from the last guest, floor did not appear to have been mopped (there was even a bobby pin on the floor), there was no bathmat or soap, conditioner bottle was almost empty, towels were stained/dirty, and the tub did no drain properly. I tried switching the bulb out (which did not work), then reported the lamp to the front desk when asking for a bar of soap. Manager offered to switch out lamp but I told him not to worry about it. I did not notice the missing bathmat or gross towels until I showered the next morning. I had 2 key cards for the room which both stopped working TWICE and I had to go to the front desk both times to get them reprogrammed. I also could not get the keys to work on the outside door card reader, which made it difficult to get in from busy parking lot. Breakfast was decent but attendant didn’t stay up on need. I left the first day with just a cup of coffee because I didn’t have time for her to replenish. The hotel was very busy so I expected some noise, but the sound traveled through walls and floor more than what I would have expected!

The jacuzzi has been broken for weeks. Also, I visit often, it wouldn’t hurt to change the breakfast up. Have some fresh fruit out, berries to go with the yogurt. Get the drink machine fixed instead of those tiny baby cartons of juice. Also get smart TVs and USB and C ports on the lamps. ☺️☺️

Please stop the breakfast. This is a cause of frustration for the guests. The quality is so poor that you are making a disfavor to yourself and us by continue to offer it. Keep your dignity and discontinue! The coffee was cold, everything was off brand and seriously not worth the trouble

Looks a little ominous when you're pulling up, but that's just because the security around Lockheed Martin right next door. Hotel itself is nice. Breakfast was pretty good for the price, other than the pancake machine not working well.

Cold water in the hot tub and the shower, broken breakfast (yogurt & juice machine broken). Nice staff tho! The breakfast attendant was exceptionally sweet. She needs a promotion and a raise.

The front desk staff were quick and helpful for our check in and out. The room was clean, well sized and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was quite nice, I haven't seen a pancake making machine before. Nice! Unfortunately the coffee and juice dispensing machines were not working correctly but the staff was helping to provide Coffee in an urn and juice in sealed dispenser cups. A nice stay.

The floor in our room was filthy. Probably hasn't been cleaned in quite some time. We had a 2 queen suite as we made the reservation for 2 adults and children. There were 2 towels to use. Breakfast was interesting. The coffee tasted like water, the pancake machine didn't work. No toaster. Juice machine didn't work. Tje staff did try to no avail to fix things.

It was 8:35 AM on a Tuesday morning and breakfast was over at 9:00 AM. The pancake batter had finished when i got mine and asked for another customer that had a small child, if it could be replaced because the child wanted pancakes; the lady went to the back and came back out with no pancake mix. I understand that it was close to the 9:00AM cut off time but if you have a small child present waiting and not come out with the batter is not fair.
