The Murray hotel was an amazing place to stay The location is awesome. The room was absolutely amazing. We had two rooms a joint with a living room. I love that they had water and ice available and that the restaurant and bar were attached.

The ice machine was broken the entire time we were there. No effort to offer ice to guests. The internet and tv service was shaky despite staff’s repeated efforts to make it work! GREAT STAFF!

Another gem of a hotel. Historic and lovingly restored and furnished. Not just a place to sleep, a place to go back in time. That being said: no on site parking. Nearby lot or street. No in hotel restaurant. Lots of restaurants super close. Outstanding choice and quite expensive.

This is a well done renovation. The hotel retained a lot of the original decor. Huge rooms that feel like home. The old elevator is very unique. The elevator is only run by staff, so you find yourself doing the stairs rather than bother them. Great exercise. Only thing that expedia doesn't tell you is that there is no on site parking. You have to hope for a spot on the street. The parking on street is tough to find until 5pm. We arrived in a dumping rain and had to go about a block.

Great room, comfy bed, train noise not so bad. Parking is a chore. Staff was really great about helping us old folks ride the elevator to 3rd floor!!! Very friendly place and the Murray Bar is fantastic!

We had a great stay. The room was perfect and we enjoyed the roof top deck. The lounge and restaurant were closed, which was disappointing. Staff are excellent!

3 person elevator installed 1905—— they are pretty quick to get there and operate when you call. Great bar & food! No parking so finding a spot in the pm for overnight can be tricky!

Super comfortable bed with good quality linens. Unique mountain themed decor. Convenient downtown location, with excellent bar, bakery and two restaurants in same building. Responsive friendly staff. Didn’t think the train noise was that big a deal, but did use earplugs. Would definitely stay here again when in town

Fantastic! The employees were over the top helpful and friendly! The Murray has been beautifully maintained. The views from the rooftop patio were amazing! Want to stay for longer next time.

The room was very clean! It was a nice touch seeing the extra toothpaste, razors, etc in the room. Loved the convenience of being able to walk next door to the “bistro” for a nice evening meal.

Wow! Gorgeous vintage hotel. The staff was excellant at communicating the details about the area. The room was spotless! All the original aspects of the hotel that Had a suite and everything I needed was provided. The food was excellant - made from scratch kitchen. Perfect place to stay in Livingston

After seeing the pictures and reviews we were a bit disapponted. It was cute but it is a very no frills place. I think the beds are closer to a size full. No seating in the room. It seemed clean until I went to go to bed and my feet were black on the bottom. I ran a damp towel on the floor and it was filthy. We did leave a note at the front desk so hopefully that will be taken up with house keeping. I definitely would not want my kids palying on the floor. It was in a convenient location. It's a very cute little town!

Beautiful historic hotel in a quaint mountain town. Room was spacious with a separate living area. Bed was very comfortable and the rooms were spotless and thoughtfully decorated. The 100+ year old elevator had to be operated by staff adding to the historic charm.

This is a great spot for a stay in Livingston. The rooms are spacious with lots of old charm. We were on the 4th floor, and elevator isn’t readily available. Also, its feet from a railroad track that blows the whistle a few times in the middle of the night! None of these things bother us at all but I could see that being a problem for more fussy travelers. The location is incredible, walkable the best shops, restaurants, and bars. The Murray Bar is actually the best spot in town!

We bought cheese, crackers, and fruit at Albertsons down the road for a picnic in-room. The room was comfortable, except for trains whistling nearby - for which The Murray provides courtesy earplugs.

The only negative is the led light on the air conditioner in room 402 shines so bright it hinders sleep . The person on the right side of the bed is basically in a spotlight . Maybe that light could be covered with dark tape?

The Murray is an historic property, I mean it’s everywhere, I loved it! Very clean, very comfortable and my room was huge (9 windows which all opened, I like it cold)!! I did have to close them because of outside noise on the street - that did quiet down. The elevator (first in the state of Montana) is a work of art. I was traveling from Yellowstone to Bozeman and wanted to stay in Livingston and arrived at 12:30, the staff graciously let me check-in very early, thank you!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Murray! The nostalgia and retro theme made for an unexpected unique experience. The room was large and had all the amenities we needed. We would have rated 5 stars, but the proximity to the train station and regular train horns through the night made a full restful sleep difficult. The hotel had earplugs, but we couldn’t sleep with those either. All and all we would recommend train horn and all.

Such a beautiful hotel. We loved the charm, history, and atmosphere! The beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in and the staff was warm and welcoming. The 100+ year old elevator was such a special feature as well. We will definitely stay here again.

The bed and pillows we’re comfortable which was top priority for us! The staff were all great. Lots of noise from train all night, but hotel provided ear plugs. Could not enjoy a soak in the tub because stopper did not work. Overall, it was pleasant but way over priced.

Everything about this historic hotel was great! Our king suite was spacious and comfortable with locally-themed decor (every room is different) and "little touches" like real plants and a selection of current Montana magazines. Breakfast is not provided but it's an easy walk to restaurants (the Northern Pacific Beanery is excellent). The downtown location is close to numerous shops and restaurants. Next time we'll plan to stay several nights.

We were provided excellent care at check-in. The place is beautiful in many ways. There are not many places as historical and welcoming as this place. I think parking may be an issue for folks, but the staff offers parking suggestions. Lots of nearby dining options. Livingston gives a little peek down the Paradise Valley, leading to Yellowstone.

Historic hotel rooms decorated in a variety of styles. We stayed in the Grand King which had a beautiful view and was decorated on a retro 50’s style. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Two excellent restaurants on either side of the hotel.

The staff was great, helpful. The old charm was amplified by spacious, clean rooms with wonderful furniture. Lovely coffee and tea service with lovely coffee area on the mezzanine along with a beautiful lobby with antiques galore. The old fashioned elevator was a kick to ride!

The staff was great, helpful. The old charm was amplified by spacious, clean rooms with wonderful furniture. Lovely coffee and tea service with lovely coffee area on the mezzanine along with a beautiful lobby with antiques galore. The old fashioned elevator was a kick to ride!

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Very much enjoyed the rooftop views, nearby dining options, and comfort of the room we were lucky enough to call home for the night we stayed. Highly recommend! Also loved the original elevator! It was like stepping into history!

Such a beautiful hotel. We loved the charm, history, and atmosphere! The beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in and the staff was warm and welcoming. The 100+ year old elevator was such a special feature as well. We will definitely stay here again.

Super comfortable bed with good quality linens. Unique mountain themed decor. Convenient downtown location, with excellent bar, bakery and two restaurants in same building. Responsive friendly staff. Didn’t think the train noise was that big a deal, but did use earplugs. Would definitely stay here again when in town

Historic hotel with wonderful feel to it. Our room was very comfortable and large, and well appointed. Staff was exemplary and extremely helpful. Will definitely return to the Murray.

The restored hotel is rustic and very nice. The wooden floor did squeak a bit when walking, but we found that charming. The hotel is across the street from the train station. Luckily, we didn't experience any night trains. We really liked the property and the amenities. Food around the hotel is plentiful as well as on-street parking.

The Murray is truly one of my favorite hotels in the west. The only thing that isn’t great is the parking options. The ease of walking to everything, great bars, and excellent restaurants make up for it.

The room was very clean! It was a nice touch seeing the extra toothpaste, razors, etc in the room. Loved the convenience of being able to walk next door to the “bistro” for a nice evening meal.

Another gem of a hotel. Historic and lovingly restored and furnished. Not just a place to sleep, a place to go back in time. That being said: no on site parking. Nearby lot or street. No in hotel restaurant. Lots of restaurants super close. Outstanding choice and quite expensive.

Great room, comfy bed, train noise not so bad. Parking is a chore. Staff was really great about helping us old folks ride the elevator to 3rd floor!!! Very friendly place and the Murray Bar is fantastic!

Renovated historic hotel nicely decorated with on-site bar and restaurant. Very cute room with comfortable bedding. My room was a suite so attached sitting area with couch, etc. Provided in room was fridge, microwave and glass dishes. Person(Vicky) at front desk was friendly and escorted us to our room in an 1905 Otis elevator(so great). She definitely provided a personal touch by showing us around our room. Would definitely stay again.

This was our second time staying at Murray Hotel. This time we opted for the two bedroom apartment style room. We were very happy with the space, perfect for a family of four. We are on a roadtrip, and we all kept saying we wished we could take the room with us for the rest of the trip. Beds are very comfortable. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel and it was good although always very busy and did have a longer wait for food. The location is perfect for enjoying downtown Livingston. This is the only place we would stay when we make it back.

Our king suite was spacious and comfortable with locally-themed decor (every room is different) and "little touches" like real plants and a selection of current Montana magazines. Breakfast is not provided but it's an easy walk to restaurants (the Northern Pacific Beanery is excellent). The downtown location is close to numerous shops and restaurants. Next time we'll plan to stay several nights.

This hotel is amazing! Historic and beautiful with a rooftop deck. Kathleen at the front was amazing and took us up to our room in the historic elevator. We enjoyed the best pizza, salad and cocktails in the bar.

Our stay at The Murray was like a step back in time. We were greeted by Kathleen upon arrival, who is a Livingston and Murray concierge, and she had so many wonderful dining recommendations, shopping spots, and fun activities in the area. Our King Suite was gorgeous and so comfortable. We had such a wonderful time exploring everything Livingston had to offer & celebrating my birthday!
