Holiday Inn Norwich by IHG

I stated here for one night to go visit casino. The included breakfast was nice. The fact that there was a swimming pool indoors was nice although I did not use it. Friendly staff, clean place, comfortable bed and linens and duvet. Bathroom was tiny but clean. Not a bad place at all!

Room was worn down. Furniture dated and barely holding together. Shower drain was clogged. Was not clean to acceptable standard - especially considering the room rate. Even though, we had a pre-paid reservation confirmed for a 2 queen bed, we were given a room with 1 king. Front desk attendant reported that's all they had because they over booked. Checked in around 9pm... not late - the correct room should have been held open.

We can’t wait to go back, We think this was a great hotel when we go to the casino. Great staff and front desk.

I was very surprised at how good the breakfast was. Made to order and it came out fast. Service was excellent.

Pool was under construction, waitress in the restaurant was not sanitary (hands in her mouth and unfortunately nose) and restaurant was dirty probably from the night before. Water took very long to get hot. Rooms were very dark and closet door was broken. There was an issue with people above us after midnight and the front desk did nothing to try to fix it. Shuttle was convenient. The front desk manager/attendant was not very professional, eating behind the counter and bad mouthing other employees.
