Check in was horrible. We were not given the room that we prepaid for and when asked for the room type that we paid for we were met with a very difficult time by front desk staff Destiny. We specifically requested a suite with a couch but were given a room with an extra bed in the living area, which is not what we needed for two people. Aftwr some back and forth, we were finally given the room that we requested. The shower did not work and the kitchen was very dirty. This hotel has a lovely outdoor space that was very warm and comfortable. The whole experience was not horrible, but the interaction with the initial staff member made it that we would not go back. After returning home, we realized that we had potentially left a set of car keys in the room and after calling the hotel to see if they were found, we were told that there was a restriction placed on our guest profile prohibiting us from staying there again ---- because we complained about the room type we were initially given? No thank you Candlewood Suites... we were not planning on returning there anyway.

The front desk gentleman was less than helpful, and not friendly. The hotel had a smell. Not a clean one. Like people lived there. There were trash bags outside the doors. The rooms were clean to the eye at a glance but further looking…it was dirty. And it smelled. Do NOT recommend

I’m pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the unit and the outside area. The staff was extremely helpful upon checking in. There was also what seemed like a leak. When I called the front desk he said the person who does that is gone for the day. I said ok thinking anyone that was above a supervisor would know you have to find the source and if “you” can turn it off. So I put the thermostat and put it up to a higher number so the unit would turn off.

Our room had an automatic light in the kitchen that would randomly come on glaringly bright throughout the night. It was horrible! Kept waking me up. Morning staff did not care.
