Great pool and hot tub and handicap accessible!

I really enjoy the in room hot tubs as they are a rare find in santa cruz. The parking lot is very limited in trying to park near your room. No elevatorw though for upstairs guests. Breakfast is 7-10am and pretty decent for being included.

The manager was very helpful. The room was very clean. The breakfast was sad. They has the waffle maker but they had the same sausage patties an very seasoned potatoes. Also, for 2 days, the maid did not refresh me room. The motel was okay. The Jacuzzi was way too hot and the pool was nice. The motel is right were highway 17 ends.

Our go-to hotel choice for Santa Cruz. I wish the parking spaces weren’t all so compact. I had issues parking the second night. Was forced to park in a handicapped spot after trying and failing to park in the five remaining spots that were left and not being able to get out of my car in general or without causing damage to my or another vehicle. Housekeeping was also a bit inconsistent in that they took the remaining toilet paper one day rather than leave another roll. The WiFi was something you had to log back into every 24 hours which I found unusual. The reception in the area for my 5G phone network was also pretty crappy. I requested a ground room for this stay and was not accommodated but my second floor room was nice and the staff offered to help bring things up/down for me. Overall though we had a great stay and plan to be back next summer if the pricing is fair.

Nice comfortable clean room. Enjoyed hot tub and pool. Had a small issue and staff was great even with a little bump in road had a great stay!

The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool was heated, and the room was clean. Good breakfast. Kid friendly. Lots of parking.

Weird that this hotel had limited office hours. Office closes at 9 pm so you have to call to get someone to give you a key. Breakfast didn’t start until 7:30 and we had to leave by 7 and the office wasn’t open yet but there was a staff person sitting in a car by the office. Never experienced that before. Was a bit noisy and was in a very busy part of town. Parking was a little difficult and far from our room. It was clean though.

Met or exceeded my expectations from description and reviews. Hot tub was perfect temperature and had strong jets. Very friendly service.

the salt water heated pool was a big hit with our little ones....It was the best part of the trip for the 2 and 5 year old.

The hotel was spotless, and the staff were all wonderful.

The staff was very nice. The cleaning crew were awesome. The pool was definitely clean. They were cleaning it every morning and the parking was easy and the breakfast actually wasn’t too bad for a free breakfast and the front desk staff were kind and helpful all and all it was a relatively nice stay

This is the third time staying at this property in the past year and a half and it never disappoints. We always get a tub room and it is always clean and ready with zero complaints. We will continue to stay here.

Room had very strong chemical smells and was stuffy. When we arrived there was drain-o in the toilet which had been clogged and debris was constantly coming up. Sink would not drain. Carpet was filthy. Hair in the sheets. Would not recommended.

I was very impressed with the room and accommodations. Everything was clean and up to date. Great shower and hot tub was clean and soothing.

Strong, antiseptic odor, smelled like A cleaning closet. Order never dissipated. 20 feet from the freeway on ramp.

Nice property despite the slightly inconvenient entrance/exit. Main complaint is the annoying wifi—we had to constantly reconnect and it was down one afternoon. Other complaint that they have no control over is the amount of homeless people in the area. Don’t go to the McDonald’s after dark!!! No drive-through and a serious case of homeless folks all around all the doors.

It was a clean room. Friendly workers. But very old and small space.

The location is perfect, the tub is great, the bed is not so good.

We always get the hot tub room in Santa Cruz from the Comfort Inn. Always clean always great service and decent breakfast.

We were placed in a king suit by the road. There’s drag racing all night so it was hard to sleep due to the noise. The fan In bathroom was so loud it’d wake people up at night if you used the restroom. I realize there’s stuff such as traffic the property can not control. Breakfast area was tiny, parking was very limited and very tight spots.

It was kind of in a weird spot, but once you find out where it is, there are no problems. There were some larger trucks in there and it made parking a little difficult and the spots do fill up. The Rams were nice and clean. The bathrooms were nice, good water, pressure and there were fans in the bathrooms. The bed was a little firmer than we like. The breakfast breakfast was a little odd. They had the basic hotel selection of waffles, cereals, yogurt, fruits, bagels, packaged pastries, etc. As far as hot food goes, they had sausage patties, which were more like turkey sausage, and they had potatoes, but the strange thing is they had no eggs. It was convenient that they kept the breakfast out till 10 instead of 9 like many hotels but as soon as 10 hits, they are shutting down. They don’t charge for parking either which is nice.

The hotel was very clean and friendly helpful staff. Close proximity to UCSC and a good breakfast. AC unit was too loud to sleep with.

My second time in this room. All of the furniture and the bed are worn out. The sofa has no support. One can't even get out of it without doing a pullup on the arms. The bed pushes every spring into the body. I woke up crippled. The desk chair does not adjust upward.

The property is very different from the pictures, rooms are SMALL! Beds and pillows are horrible. Mold in the shower. Our jacuzzi was large, that was the best part. But very expensive for what it was. The continental breakfast did have a good apread. Would not stay again

Stayed here several times and found great value, convenience and helpful staff. The manager was especially kind when my plans changed unexpectedly- and that courtesy and kindness makes for my 5star rating. Breakfast and parking included, close to freeways and walking distance to town. It’s away from the crazy busy pier area, and that’s a plus!

My niece and I were in Santa Cruz to look at UC Santa Cruz. We checked in at around 8:30 p.m. and got assigned a room with two keys. At around 11:30, my niece was studying, and I was totally asleep. She told me someone tried to get into the room, but I had put the bolt across the door so they weren't able to. A few minutes later, someone started banging on the door. Once I shook off my grogginess, I went to the door and someone was loudly pounding on the door and saying they were from the front desk. I opened the door and peered out and it was the guy from the front desk who'd checked me in. There was also a woman who looked like a guest, and she stood behind him. The front desk guy was treating me like I was a suspect in some misdeed and he was the police. He was rude and aggressive, telling me "There's nobody in this room!" as I was standing there in the room I'd gotten into with the keys he'd handed me a few hours before. I asked him if he'd remembered me (we'd chatted for a bit when I checked in) and he said yes and finally realized that he must've made the mistake. Duh. He then went away, but it was hard for my niece and me to go back to sleep because we were so alarmed by him being so loud and aggressive. But finally we slept. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast the next day was super pleasant with yummy waffles. I told the morning staff what happened and they were perplexed and said they'd check the cameras but I never heard back.

At 3am the ceiling started pouring water from the ceiling. We woke up to a waterfall dripping over our suitcase and could not access the bathroom without water pouring on us. We immediately got up and went to the front desk. The overnight person was rude and said we had to either leave or deal with the room because they were booked and didn’t have another room. I wanted her to call the MOD to ensure we received a refund on the room for the inconvenience but she said she couldn’t do anything. She accused me of being drunk or on drug's as i was there at 3am! Really lady! I was in town for one night for a work function. We had to leave and drive home 2 1/2 hours home and left with the worst experience i have ever had. Called back in the morning and no response back as no-one can help as they say they are not in charge!!! Room was outdated and carpet was pulling up, stains on carpet and old amenities. The bed was so hard i already had a hard time sleeping from the bed. You can hear the people upstairs flushing toilets, using sink and in the shower. They were up at 3 am in the bathtub or shower is why the walls and ceiling we’re pouring water down. Run down

Enjoyed our stay. Front receptionist Ozzie had very good customer service, he was helpful with getting us checked in early, also informative about events happening in the area. Rooms were very clean, pool was nice. Only complaints was the jacuzzi was broken which when I booked I was looking forward to it. Also that the hot food selection at breakfast could be better, they had alot of options but the only hot food that was good was the waffles. Overall I would stay here again.

I LOVE THIS HOTEL The room was good sized, with a double jacuzzi tub that was amazing and the price was excellent. From the moment I checked in, I.received excellent customer service from Angel. I would definitely stay here again. Great Hotel

The hotel was super clean, facilities were well kept, the pool and hot tub were delightful. The breakfast was good and the staff was outstanding, everyone was friendly and said hello not just the checkin staff. The entry was a little difficult as it was on a one way street. The hotel itself was excellent but the area it was in had homeless, I didn’t feel unsafe at all and not the hotels fault, truly the fault of failed laws and policies of California. I am planning on staying here again in several months regardless of the minor inconveniences because of the staff and the pride the staff show in up-keeping their facilities.

The staff at Comfort Inn were THE BEST. Our reservation that was booked through Expedia did not get to them initially. We were notified by Comfort Inn prior to arrival that although our request for a 2 Queen room wasn't possible, they would make good on our needs by booking us 2 rooms next to each other as a concession! That was more than generous. Jaime was front desk the night of our arrival and was super helpful. Even let us park our car full of dorm-move-in stuff next to the office for extra safety. During our stay we also needed help printing and expediting some paperwork. A gentleman at the front desk that morning helped us out to get the documents printed ("K"?) His help was truly appreciated as well. Great staff, clean rooms, walking distance to Santa Cruz Diner and Togo's!

We checked in on 9/22 after moving my daughter into college. Upon arrival, we were told there was no water in our part of the building. They said they were working on it. Long story short, we decided to stay since it was a move in weekend and a lot of other places were full. The water did not come back on for 5 hours. When asked about some sort of compensation upon check out, nothing was done. Emailed the manager of the hotel and still haven’t heard a word back from them. Horrible customer service!

Central location

I liked the location. If you enjoy walking it’s not a far walk from the downtown area. The rooms were decent and tidy. The vegetarian continental breakfast was good. I was pleasantly surprised by the meat substitution. The lightening in the rooms were bright and harsh. The air conditioner unit is outdated therefore it was difficult to set the temperature in the room. It’s not that I didn’t feel safe but it was a little concerning to wake up and find a homeless person sleeping in the open parking lot.

The property was nice and the staff was professional and friendly. Our room was nice and clean. You can tell the staff really takes their time to clean the rooms. The location was perfect for the price. We really enjoyed going to Santa Cruz diner. It was conveniently down the street and the food was great. Santa Cruz boardwalk was 6 min away, a short drive.

The property was easy to find. Located near the freeway on ramp that we needed a lot during this trip.

Extremely convenient location to downtown Santa Cruz eateries, shops etc. Very quiet considering it is close to freeway.

Very clean, with comfortable bedding and decent mattress. Check-in was easy and the staff are uniformly friendly and helpful. Only drawbacks were that the water pressure was so low it took forever to wash my hair, and driving into the property was awkward. It sometimes took an extended trip around the block to navigate the one-way streets. Good value for Santa Cruz.

It was very nice quiet and comfortable. It’s a 3 min drive from the boardwalk and shopping centers.

All great except location in a bad intersection.

We loved our stay! Very clean and the breakfast was very good with lots of choices. I’m personally thankful for the flavored coffee creamers- game changer for me!

The entrance is on a one way street so it’s inconvenient to enter. The front desk staff was nice. The room was clean and comfortable. Our main complaint was the breakfast was just okay. No meat or eggs. No hot cereal. The dining area was too small and so it was crowded. The hotel needs more than one person managing the breakfast area. It was too much for just one person. Coffee was good but when we checked out, the lobby coffee was cold and about empty.

Breakfast was nice. Wish there was more protein.

Clean hotel and they have free breakfast. The waffle maker is amazing. You get to make your own waffles. They need to add eggs on the menu.

Rooms were nice and clean. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Staff was kimd. Surrounding area was quiet. The breakfast wasn't GREAT. Not sure if it was plant based sausage but the it was strange and also the potatoes were probably bagged and put in oven, werent fully cooked and also there were no eggs with it. Other then that there was waffles, cereal and small pastries and yogurt.

Over all the our experience was good. The hotel need a little update it is a little rundown and the breakfast food need improvement the staff was amazing and super friendly the beds were a little to firm for my taste but it wasn’t too bad I liked the fact that you have a lot of places to eat close by

Very poor condition. I even paid for upgrade room. Very old and worn out. Also horrible breakfast. No Eggs, really! Veggie sausagex gross! I packed up and found local restaurant for eggs. They're reviews are misleading. No way this is a 9.0 property.

The beds were comfortable. The complementary breakfast could add some eggs to the menu.
