Beeindruckendes Gebäude, sehr schön für Business- aber auch Privatreisen. Hat ein besonderes Flair. Zimmer im Neubau sind gut und attraktiv ausgestattet aber nicht so besonders, wie das Gebäude. Wellnessbereich schön, aber etwas klein für die Größe des Hotels. Abendessen fantastisch aber auch entsprechend teuer (nicht zu teuer für die Qualität).

This is a beautiful converted mansion built in in 1909, recently modernized. Great for relaxing get away or longer stay to explore the Netherlands. The gardens lead to a National Park. It is about 25 km outside Amsterdam but there is easy access to the city (25 mins every 30 min) as well as other locations by train from Sandpoort Nord station. Hotel will arrange taxis (however taxi to Amsterdam is €100 one way compared with €8 roundtrip on train. The staff are great with helpful suggestions on trips and restaurants. Hotel restaurant is excellent for dinner. Bar is open as an alternative. Breakfast (cooked or continental) is included, substantial and high quality. Lunch is on the patio (weather permitting). Boschbeek is local restaurant that provides traditional Dutch food, and is easily reached by bike (available at hotel). Bistro Bar Indonesia (https://www.bistrobarindonesia.nl/en/home/) in Haarlem is highly recommended (accessible by bike, taxi or train). Spa facilities are very good but only open at 3 PM on week days. Rooms with en suite bathrooms are reasonably spacious and well appointed (request room on 1st floor with view of the gardens and the park). Overall - highly recommended, would stay there again. For Formula One fans, hotel is close to the Dutch Grande Prix track - crew and some drivers stay at this hotel. Book early, room rates likely to be very expensive!

What a wonderful place to stay , ground floor rooms off entrance hallway doubles as an impressive art gallery . Staff are great ( i was having trouble switching on my tv , probably my fault, but reception staff solved the issue a after i raised it with them ).:Double room with patio was high quality and the breakfast was a splendid banquet. A fine supper was enjoyed at the restaurant and i also found good places to eat lunch and dinner within walking dustance of hotel, check out forest surrounding hotel; special with wild deers therein. Bx

Uitstekend verblijf gehad! Prachtige kamers, heerlijk ontbijt en mooie welnessfaciliteiten. Personeel supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. Marjo, we komen graag nog eens terug!!

Fantastisch mooie plek! De wellness is een heerlijke extra (let op, wel badkleding meenemen!). Restaurant viel ons erg tegen. Naderhand nog steeds honger en niet echt lekker gegeten. De suite viel ons lichtelijk tegen. Had er iets meer van verwacht. Maar nog steeds het gebouw, de ambience en het personeel was super!

Ein tolles Hotel in einem Landhaus/Landschaftspark nach englischem Vorbild. Die Grünanlagen (Beete) könnten gepflegter sein. Sonst: super Frühstück, Möglichkeit auf der Terrasse mit Seeblick zu essen. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad met een top ontbijt. Alles bij het ontbijt was vers, veel keus en heerlijk. Heel vriendelijk personeel, je voelde je heel erg welkom. Treinstation in de buurt (loopafstand) waar je ook gratis je auto kan parkeren. Perfecte verbinding met Haarlem voor een leuk dagje de stad verkennen. Ook het huren van (elektrische)fietsen bij het hotel is ideaal en maakte ons weekend weg helemaal af.

Een sfeervol hotel, terug naar de oude tijd met moderne verschillende faciliteiten, culinair, bar met pianist, ontspanning, natuur, cultuur en stad binnen 22 minuten. Schone kamer met goede bedden, vriendelijk gastvrij personeel. Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Schönes Hauptgebäude. Wir wurden allerdings in einem Anbau untergebracht. Der Weg dahin wurde schlecht erklärt, war mit Koffern gute 5 Minuten zu laufen, mehrere Etagen zu überwinden. Der eine Aufzug (es waren mehrere nötig) war mit einem riesigen Wäschecontainer besetzt, sehr kundenfreundlich! Angekommen Blick auf einen nicht sehr schönen Innenhof. Balkon war mit Nachbarn zu teilen, die Raucher waren, somit konnten wir die Balkontüre nicht öffnen, da der gesamte Rauch ins Zimmer kam. Der Müll im Badezimmer wurde erst nach Beschwerde am 3. Tag entsorgt. Bis dahin keine frischen Handtücher, auch die Boden nicht! Allerdings wurde das Bett täglich gemacht. Die schmutzigen Tassen wurden auch nicht ausgetauscht, geschweige denn benutzte Teebeutel entsorgt bzw. aufgefüllt. Es ist auch über hotel.com alles andere als ein "Billigabsteige". Dann wurde uns noch ein Frühstück zuviel berechnet. Ob dieses Geld jemals wiedersehen? Wir kommen nicht wieder!

Das Zimmer war leider nur oberlächlich gereinigt. Außerdem konnte man ständig ein stöhrendes Geräusch von außerhalb wahrnehmen. Eine besagte Terasse war auch nicht vorhanden. Ansonsten war es sehr schön ausgestattet. Das Personal und die ganze Hotelanlage ist hervorragend.

Mooi hotel.. prachtige omgeving .. behoorlijke kamer. Wat jammer is dat de voegen inde douche schimmel vorming heeft en de vorige bewoner iets had achtergelaten op een tafeltje wat niet was gezien door de schoonmaak dienst . gaat het dan net iets naar beneden qua mooi en schoon voor zo een hotel met die allure..
Mooi hotel.. prachtige omgeving .. behoorlijke kamer. Wat jammer is dat de voegen inde douche schimmel vorming heeft en de vorige bewoner iets had achtergelaten op een tafeltje wat niet was gezien door de schoonmaak dienst . gaat het dan net iets naar beneden qua mooi en schoon voor zo een hotel met die allure..

Bijzonder hotel op mooie locatie. We konden echter niet dineren omdat het restaurant vol zat, de kamer was niet goed schoongemaakt en de rekening klopte niet.

Een prachtig landgoed, gelegen in een mooie omgeving en dichtbij het strand. Fijne en schone kamer. Heerlijk en uitgebreid ontbijt! We troffen het met het weer, waardoor we iedere ochtend en avond buiten hebben kunnen eten. Fijne sfeer. Wij komen zeker terug!
Een prachtig landgoed, gelegen in een mooie omgeving en dichtbij het strand. Fijne en schone kamer. Heerlijk en uitgebreid ontbijt! We troffen het met het weer, waardoor we iedere ochtend en avond buiten hebben kunnen eten. Fijne sfeer. Wij komen zeker terug!

Prachtig gelegen in de duinen/ bossen, veel fiets en wandelmogelijkheden. Het eten is super, de kamers lekker schoon, wij hadden de patiokamer en dan heb je ook een leuk zitje buiten.

Zeer vriendelijke en snelle checkin, de geboekte kamer overtrof de verwachting en was ruim, stil geweldig uitzicht, schoon en compleet. Jammer dat mijn verzoek om een uur later uit checken alleen mogelijk was als ik 25 euro bijbetaalde… niet gedaan natuurlijk

Schönes Hauptgebäude. Wir wurden allerdings in einem Anbau untergebracht. Der Weg dahin wurde schlecht erklärt, war mit Koffern gute 5 Minuten zu laufen, mehrere Etagen zu überwinden. Der eine Aufzug (es waren mehrere nötig) war mit einem riesigen Wäschecontainer besetzt, sehr kundenfreundlich! Angekommen Blick auf einen nicht sehr schönen Innenhof. Balkon war mit Nachbarn zu teilen, die Raucher waren, somit konnten wir die Balkontüre nicht öffnen, da der gesamte Rauch ins Zimmer kam. Der Müll im Badezimmer wurde erst nach Beschwerde am 3. Tag entsorgt. Bis dahin keine frischen Handtücher, auch die Boden nicht! Allerdings wurde das Bett täglich gemacht. Die schmutzigen Tassen wurden auch nicht ausgetauscht, geschweige denn benutzte Teebeutel entsorgt bzw. aufgefüllt. Es ist auch über hotel.com alles andere als ein "Billigabsteige". Dann wurde uns noch ein Frühstück zuviel berechnet. Ob dieses Geld jemals wiedersehen? Wir kommen nicht wieder!

Vi såg framemot att få bo i slottskänsla. Hotellet såg verkligen ut som ett slott. Men vårt rum låg två våningar ner i ett tillbyggt annnex. Det var vindlande korridorer så vi gick fel många gånger innan vi hittade. Dåligt skyltat till rummen. Men rummet var fantastiskt med en härlig säng. Frukosten var toppen med det mesta man kan önska sig. Saknade dock riktigt grovt fullkornsbröd.

What a wonderful place to stay , ground floor rooms off entrance hallway doubles as an impressive art gallery . Staff are great ( i was having trouble switching on my tv , probably my fault, but reception staff solved the issue a after i raised it with them ).:Double room with patio was high quality and the breakfast was a splendid banquet. A fine supper was enjoyed at the restaurant and i also found good places to eat lunch and dinner within walking dustance of hotel, check out forest surrounding hotel; special with wild deers therein. Het gebouw is prachtig en de omgeving net zo. Je zit dichtbij het strand en je kunt fietsen huren om het natuurgebied te verkennen. Ook de dinerzalen zijn prachtig opgemaakt in tegenstelling tot de ontbijtruimte. Op zich prima, maar geen paleis allure. Wat duidelijk is, is dat de meeste kosten opgaan in het onderhoud van het grote landhuis en dat vind je terug in de prijs. De standaardkamers waarin wij verbleven (met bad) vielen wat tegen. Je hebt niet het gevoel dat je in een landhuis verblijft. Bepaalde zaken zijn wat gedateerd zoals de schuifpui, airco en badkamer. Kan wel een update gebruiken naar deze tijd. Let op dat een kamer met serre uitkomt op een gezamelijke binnenplaats, dus privacy is wat minder. Voor de rest prima hotel

Mooi karakteristiek gebouw in een prachtige omgeving, waarvan je helaas in de kamers niets meer terugziet. Toch wat standaard allemaal, waarbij de prijs dat absoluut niet is! Kamer lag aan een soort binnenplaats, nogal saai. Personeel erg vriendelijk. We waren er voor een huwelijk wat handig was, maar anders zou ik er niet snel weer naartoe gaan.

Zeer vriendelijke en snelle checkin, de geboekte kamer overtrof de verwachting en was ruim, stil geweldig uitzicht, schoon en compleet. Jammer dat mijn verzoek om een uur later uit checken alleen mogelijk was als ik 25 euro bijbetaalde… niet gedaan natuurlijk

What a wonderful place to stay , ground floor rooms off entrance hallway doubles as an impressive art gallery . Staff are great ( i was having trouble switching on my tv , probably my fault, but reception staff solved the issue a after i raised it with them ).:Double room with patio was high quality and the breakfast was a splendid banquet. Bijzonder hotel op mooie locatie. We konden echter niet dineren omdat het restaurant vol zat, de kamer was niet goed schoongemaakt en de rekening klopte niet.

Schitterend hotel, met mooie details. Heerlijke sfeer en ontzettend vriendelijk personeel. Het diner in het hotel is ook echt een aanrader. Het ontbijt was perfect. Genoeg keuze voor iedereen!

Duin&Kruidberg, een fenomeen. Eigenaarswissel medio 2019. Inmiddels volledig in stijl gerestyled. Ziet er geweldig uit. Verbeterpunt is wat ons betreft de beleving van gastvrijheid door de uitvoerende medewerkers. Weinig geïnteresseerd, bij kleine problemen weten zijn van niets en reageren niet. Lossen ook niet op, totdat er een manager bij komt. Entourage is voortreffelijk, zou mooi zijn als de medewerkers (receptie en restaurant) congruent hieraan zijn. Hoge prijs.

This is a truly lovely property and I would give it 5 stars but for one thing. There is no trash or refuse bin in the room, there is only a tiny one in the bathroom, and it is attached to the wall under the counter. It's too narrow to fit anything of substance into it and very difficult to reach. And if someone in your party is using the bathroom, then you are just out of luck. We tried asking the front desk for a bin for the room. It was a request they could not understand. After a great deal of explaining why we felt we needed another trash bin, she promised to bring up a bag for us to use. Ok, that would be fine.... but she did not keep her promise. We resorted to using the laundry bag from the armoire. This may seem like a simple thing, but in a hotel that is otherwise classy and costly, this should be an easy ask. But it was not possible for them to provide anything other than the tiny bin that was very difficult to open and insert anything large in. They don't provide hair conditioner, but I have learned by now not to expect this to be provided in Dutch hotels and bring my own. Other than this, the lobby is beautiful (but I never saw anyone relaxing there because the bar is downstairs) and the breakfast very nice.

This is a beautiful converted mansion built in in 1909, recently modernized. Great for relaxing get away or longer stay to explore the Netherlands. The gardens lead to a National Park. It is about 25 km outside Amsterdam but there is easy access to the city (25 mins every 30 min) as well as other locations by train from Sandpoort Nord station. Hotel will arrange taxis (however taxi to Amsterdam is €100 one way compared with €8 roundtrip on train. The staff are great with helpful suggestions on trips and restaurants. Hotel restaurant is excellent for dinner. Bar is open as an alternative. Breakfast (cooked or continental) is included, substantial and high quality. Lunch is on the patio (weather permitting). Boschbeek is local restaurant that provides traditional Dutch food, and is easily reached by bike (available at hotel). Bistro Bar Indonesia (https://www.bistrobarindonesia.nl/en/home/) in Haarlem is highly recommended (accessible by bike, taxi or train). Spa facilities are very good but only open at 3 PM on week days. Rooms with en suite bathrooms are reasonably spacious and well appointed (request room on 1st floor with view of the gardens and the park). Overall - highly recommended, would stay there again. For Formula One fans, hotel is close to the Dutch Grande Prix track - crew and some drivers stay at this hotel. Book early, room rates likely to be very expensive!

Een prachtig landgoed, gelegen in een mooie omgeving en dichtbij het strand. Fijne en schone kamer. Heerlijk en uitgebreid ontbijt! We troffen het met het weer, waardoor we iedere ochtend en avond buiten hebben kunnen eten. Fijne sfeer. Wij komen zeker terug!

Heerlijk verblijf gehad met een top ontbijt. Alles bij het ontbijt was vers, veel keus en heerlijk. Heel vriendelijk personeel, je voelde je heel erg welkom. Treinstation in de buurt (loopafstand) waar je ook gratis je auto kan parkeren. Perfecte verbinding met Haarlem voor een leuk dagje de stad verkennen. Ook het huren van (elektrische)fietsen bij het hotel is ideaal en maakte ons weekend weg helemaal af.

Bistro Bar Indonesia (https://www.bistrobarindonesia.nl/en/home/) in Haarlem is highly recommended (accessible by bike, taxi or train). Spa facilities are very good but only open at 3 PM on week days. Rooms with en suite bathrooms are reasonably spacious and well appointed (request room on 1st floor with view of the gardens and the park). Overall - highly recommended, would stay there again. For Formula One fans, hotel is close to the Dutch Grande Prix track - crew and some drivers stay at this hotel. Book early, room rates likely to be very expensive!

What a wonderful place to stay , ground floor rooms off entrance hallway doubles as an impressive art gallery . Staff are great ( i was having trouble switching on my tv , probably my fault, but reception staff solved the issue a after i raised it with them ).:Double room with patio was high quality and the breakfast was a splendid banquet. A fine supper was enjoyed at the restaurant and i also found good places to eat lunch and dinner within walking dustance of hotel, check out forest surrounding hotel; special with wild deers therein. Fantastisch mooie plek! De wellness is een heerlijke extra (let op, wel badkleding meenemen!). Restaurant viel ons erg tegen. Naderhand nog steeds honger en niet echt lekker gegeten. De suite viel ons lichtelijk tegen. Had er iets meer van verwacht. Maar nog steeds het gebouw, de ambience en het personeel was super!

Bijzonder hotel op mooie locatie. We konden echter niet dineren omdat het restaurant vol zat, de kamer was niet goed schoongemaakt en de rekening klopte niet.

Ein tolles Hotel in einem Landhaus/Landschaftspark nach englischem Vorbild. Die Grünanlagen (Beete) könnten gepflegter sein. Sonst: super Frühstück, Möglichkeit auf der Terrasse mit Seeblick zu essen. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Schitterend hotel, met mooie details. Heerlijke sfeer en ontzettend vriendelijk personeel. Het diner in het hotel is ook echt een aanrader. Het ontbijt was perfect. Genoeg keuze voor iedereen!

Amazing! Beautiful property! You can get lost in there, and I did, the staff was very helpful directing me back to which staircase I needed. My only regret is that my travel was delayed and I didn’t have time to explore more of the area.

Mooi landgoed en schitterende omgeving. Hotel was prima goede bedden en douche Kamer had airco wat wel nodig was toen wij er waren. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt en kon zowel binnen als buiten zitten. Spa/ wellness was ok bij ons was de stoom sauna buiten werking en jacuzzi werkte maar voor deel ook de stort douche en buiten gedeelte kan opknapper gebruiken. Je kan in de omgeving super fietsen en wandelen . En ook Haarlem is vlak bij. Ligt iets verder van strand maar op de fiets door de duinen is het een mooie rit .

The room given to us was the ‘modern wing’, meaning built in the seventies(?) and ready for a renovation. It takes three elevators to get your luggage to your room. A little much for an overnighter. I guess better than having to take the stairs. The restaurant was fully booked for that night. In hindsight we didn’t mind cause it smelled stuffy walking through the restaurant on our way to the outdoor terrace.

The place is absolutely stunning, looks like it came out from a fairy tale. You can hear the birds singing when you wake up. The spa is really nice and the staff is super helpful. I would come back for sure.
