This was our second time here and they have dog friendly rooms. The lady at the front desk was friendly and upgraded us to a bigger room which was so much better than the one we had booked. It was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We dinner at Inn restaurant which had a lot of choice. Service again was good. They have new EV chargers which we made use of.

Excellent staff. Very helpful. Especially Alex the night porter who was lovely and very thoughtful Rooms were great. I thought reception area and the bar area looked very dated and needed refurbishment. Restaurant and food was great.

A very nice hotel for our two night stay. Lovely sea side setting near the beach. Excellent staff, spacious light room which was clean and comfortable. Excellent bars and restaurants ( a friend joined us for dinner with her dog which was permitted) and good food. Great facilities....parking, pool, outdoor drinking areas.

Customer service and location was excellent. The only disappointment was the swimming pool, which was minus the loungers or plants as depicted in the photos, and looked rather shabby ( tissue paper on the floor and towels spilling out from a basket). I understand there had been private pool party before, that maybe explains the mess.

Staff were very good, breakfast was excellent, room was clean & had good facilities but paintwork on walls & wood work was tired and in need of repainting. Unfortunately our room backed onto the swimming pool plant room so was noisy with the plant running 24 x 7, but I would imagine rooms away from plant would be quiet. Great location by the beach & close to local shops, bars, cafes & restaurants. Hotel has own outdoor bar with garden seating in front of the pool building as well as indoor bar. Make sure to ask for a room away from any plant!

Wonderful location. Hotel in the process of being refurbished. Our room had been refurbished and was lovely, but would benefit from new windows, including a small one for ventilation - the only way to get fresh air was to open the door onto the balcony and the carpet got wet when it rained! Lovely staff. Swimming pool is a bit utilitarian and not the best in cold weather - would be lovely in the summer. But location and booked are fab. Some great place w to eat in the town too.

This is a lovely hotel where the staff are very friendly and the food is of a very high standard. The only negative is that the swimming pool is not manned so the hotel insists a minimum of two people. As a solo traveller on business it means I cannot use the pool which is a shame

Lovely friendly receptionist at check-in and out. Restaurant staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was very clean and cosy. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff were excellent very courteous and professional. Rooms were not cleaned properly, there was sand in the bed. The shower was tepid and slow and there was also mould on the bathroom ceiling. The hotel was very good with dogs. Especially during meal times

Very disappointed with the room. The carpet was dirty and badly stained. There was plaster flaking off the walls. The shower head was full of orange and green mold and we had to scrub it clean with a nail brush before we could use it. There was a tea pot in the room with the contents still in it from the previous occupants. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and we had a lovely view of a broken down shed and a rat trap. Would not recommend.

Our room was of adequate size. The ceiling was low but a large window gave plenty of light. It was a pleasantly warm weekend so we could keep the window open all night. We could hear some chatting from the neighbouring restaurant but it was completely quiet by late evening. The bathroom was fine though the low ceiling meant the show head over the bath was too low and first time in I hit my head on it! There was no frig, minibar or safe in our room. Parking was easy but it was important to remember to enter the registration number on reception’s keypad to avoid a fine from the carpark management company. Reception staff were helpful in this respect. Breakfast was a mixed experience though overall pretty good. The L-shaped restaurant itself was one of the most pleasant I’ve experienced with comfortable seating, well spaced tables, and large windows. Staff attention was faultless. In terms of food selection it was a little more disappointing with a combination of limited cold buffet and short menu of hot dishes available as table service. Although our choices were fresh, hot and served promptly, I would still have preferred to have made my own choices from a hot buffet. Awkwardly, reception asked us to book a specific time for breakfast. This doesn’t work for us on holiday. Spontaneously we might choose to lie in or, alternatively go for an early morning walk. Reception explained their reasons; apparently kitchen capacity is limited and pre-booking spreads the demand.

Possibly one of the worse 'hotels' I have had the disspleasure of staying at in my 50+ years of travelling. The standard of the upkeep of the hotel is well below expectations. It is 60's dated. The 'room' I was allocated was 28 on the second floor. Hardly a room for 2 people, it was clostrophobic, cramped and nothing like the stand I suspect it was a attic cupboard that had been converted into a small room. n reality should never have. Very small and dark. The shower/toilet was Example, the seating in the restaurant is in a sorry state, the seats are leather, badly ripped and damaged, this can happen, it they have been in this state for over four years, unacceptable. The hotel has four stars. How it retains the rating is a mystery. The hotel has had investment over the years, but sadly not enough. The owners, J W Lees are aware of the issues but choose not to invest enough to keep the hotel in decent condition. The food was poor, breakfast was worse ( usually the best food of the day) Fresh fruit had run out, asked for it to be replenished, no fruit available! Ordered eggs Benedict, eggs were hard boiled, pancakes were inedible. Got to say the saving grace is the staff, they really care, but my fear is, without investment the may cease to care so much. So come on J W Lees, get you hand in you corporate pockets and sort this out. The hotel is in an enviable position, overlooking Trearddur Bay, so people will always book to stay here, is that why there is a lack of investment?

No working Wifi in the room, got another with working wifi but with a TV that did not work. In both cases no action was taken - or neither was fixed the following day even when telling the reception BUT -nice location and a really good restaurant ! (or two - both where great with high quality cooking)

All good but 270 for one night was a bit much as the walls are paper thin , hardly slept due to neighbor , they wasnt being idiots just talking but kept waking the kids so had horrific sleep and ruined my stay . Room , hotel, service, location are awesome though just that one silly thing spoiled it

The stay was charming but the breakfast on the last morning was a disaster we ordered breakfast. They forgot about mine 1 hour later after asking twice where it was it arrived and the sausage tasted perfumed to me hence to say I did not eat any of it we were told that the breakfast would be taken off the bill but it was put through with no discount.

Excellent stay with very friendly staff especially Vicki on reception and David the restaurant manager who both put themselves out to make us extra welcome as did all the staff but they stood out. Will definitely return on a regular basis as we love Trearddur bay and this hotel is perfect for anyone’s stay. Thank you very much . Paul and Lesley and our dogs Rico and Willow

The Reception Staff and Bar Staff were superb. One of the Waiters in the Inn at the Bay completely flipped and was woefully untrained. He must have checked himself and had words because he actually made an effort to redeem himself when he returned to our table. This experience left us with a really horrible taste, sadly, because the rest of the staff were lovely and extremely efficient, friendly and helpful. Supervisors need to ensure that areas in the public loos are spotless, eg behind the wash handbasin pedestals. Also check floors behind bathroom doors. There was a lump of something very suspicious behind my bathroom door which I didn't dare pick up. My friend's omelette at breakfast was burnt and inedible. This was extremely poor service for a hotel of its class. Also, the catering manager needs to review their sauces on their dishes eg my Caesar Salad dressing was very poor, as well as the sauce on the Eggs Benedict. Money needs to be spent on the exterior decor/maintenance. The guttering needs clearing and paintwork is in need of a refresh.

Lovely clean rooms, with good parking facilities and perfect location with the beach less a minute away. The staff at the hotel could not do enough to make the stay extra special and homely. Particular shout out to John who accommodated all types of requests at breakfast. Thank you!

Celebrated my birthday weekend - August bank holiday - at the hotel. The weather was extremely hot and our room was in the Tower House Annexe quite close to the beach which we found noisy in the day due to the number of visitors to Trearddur Bay and the proximity of the slipway where tractors were putting boats into, or taking them out of, the water. We unfortunately did not have air conditioning and couldn’t take advantage of our patio either as we didn’t have an umbrella for shade. However, we found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful and enjoyed two breakfasts and excellent evening meals in the Bay Restaurant. Would recommend staying at a quieter time and in the main hotel for a future visit. Website could advertise the swimming pool better as I did not realise there was one at the hotel until our arrival.

A very nice hotel for our two night stay. Lovely sea side setting near the beach. Excellent staff, spacious light room which was clean and comfortable. Excellent bars and restaurants ( a friend joined us for dinner with her dog which was permitted) and good food. Great facilities....parking, pool, outdoor drinking areas.

Once again, an amazing stay at the hotel. The staff are so friendly and were really helpful and kind with my 1yr old. The pool area was pristine. The whole hotel is dog friendly and a very short walk to the beach which they loved. Fantastic options for Gluten free also. Hopefully be back again next February.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. Food was absolutely delicious we eat in the resturant and had lamb it was so nice. Swimming pool was lovely and warm. Nice little break away. The ebst part of this hotel was definitely the staff they literally couldn't do enough for you. Thank you for making our anniversary so special.

Let me start by saying this is one of my favourite hotels. I have visited over the years as a child with my parents, as a young married man, with my kids and now with my grandchildren. The standard of the upkeep of the hotel is well below expectations. Example, the seating in the restaurant is in a sorry state, the seats are leather, badly ripped and damaged, this can happen, it they have been in this state for over four years, unacceptable. The hotel has four stars. How it retains the rating is a mystery. The hotel has had investment over the years, but sadly not enough. The owners, J W Lees are aware of the issues but choose not to invest enough to keep the hotel in decent condition. The food was poor, breakfast was worse ( usually the best food of the day) Fresh fruit had run out, asked for it to be replenished, no fruit available! Ordered eggs Benedict, eggs were hard boiled, pancakes were inedible. Got to say the saving grace is the staff, they really care, but my fear is, without investment the may cease to care so much. So come on J W Lees, get you hand in you corporate pockets and sort this out. The hotel is in an enviable position, overlooking Trearddur Bay, so people will always book to stay here, is that why there is a lack of investment?

The hotel is in a lovely spot, the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, however we had dinner one night at Inn at the Bay and there were some issues. We waited quite a while for our food, my husband ordered the daily special of coley with potatoes and vegetables. It looked grey on arrival and was clearly over cooked, the sautéed potatoes were completely burned on one side so the meal had to go back. The waitress was lovely and very apologetic but really the chef should have known better than to send it out. My meal included a chowder which looked like it had sat a while and was starting to congeal, however it did taste nice and the sea bass was cooked ok. Wouldn't eat there again though, sorry.

Our experience arriving at the Trearddur Bay Hotel was disappointing. We booked a Family Room after seeing on the photos (both on Expedia and their own website), that it had a double and a single bed in a corner. To our surprise, once we checked in, our room had a double bed and a single mattress set up on the floor near the plug sockets, where our 5-year old was expected to sleep. As we put our bags down, a handyman walked into our room without knocking, because he was fixing a shelf in the bathroom. This was past 3pm, check in time, and again there was no knock when coming in. I rang reception to advise this was not the room type we booked and the duty manager came to see us in the room. Once I showed him our confirmation and pictures of their website he confirmed they only have a family room like that and that it was misleading. However because the hotel was full, he could only offer to show us a smaller double room, so essentially a downgrade from what we had booked. We said no and asked for the sofa in the room to be turned into a bed instead. Later on trying to put the television on, the screen came up with a network error message.. We again rang reception and someone came up and showed us how to get past the error message. This member of staff told us that this happens all the time and it will happen again next time we turn it on and off. We booked dinner at the hotel pub and the service was extremely slow and the food was poor... Do not recommend.

All members of staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They go about their duties efficiently and effectively. Our room was clean and serviced daily with the hospitality tray and toiletries being replenished regularly. There is a fairly good choice of food at the breakfast buffet and also a variety of hot dishes are available and served at your table.

Lovely, homely hotel in a beautiful area. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. I would recommend booking a sea view. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. Our cooked full english breakfast was tasty and piping hot. Lovely area to explore. South Stack lighthouse is very nearby and well worth a visit.
