Fisherman's Haunt Hotel

DOG FRIENDLY. Great dog friendly hotel. Love the dog bowls and treats. Dogs allowed in bar and dining area. Food was lovely as was breakfast. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Would recommend to all doggy people thank you

Loads of parking. We had a Ground floor room which was very large and quiet. We booked last minute over the August bank holiday so it wasn’t cheap and the pub doesn’t serve breakfast. Manager is really helpful and nice pub. Very near the New Forest for walks. Would only suggest for the price would have expected some additional toiletries

Great little stay. Tasteful bright room with really good amenities. We arrived too late on Sunday night for eating in the pub but had had a great take out from Thai restaurant in nearby Christchurch. Dog enjoyed stay too!

Nice pub with accomodation near Christchurch. Good for a base to visit the area. Standard pub fair. Pet friendly both bup and accomodation with plenty of parking

Staff were friendly and helpful. Disappointed to find the restaurant closed at 8 pm and the bar at 9. After a very long day at work and drive down, arriving at 7.30 I felt I wanted time to relax and enjoy a beer rather than be rushed in and out. The food I did have was fairly mediocre. Clearly just reheated, I could have got a microwave meal on the way down which could have been nicer! Fairly expensive too - (compared to what I would expect to pay back up in the north anyway). Very disappointingly breakfast is not provided. this is actually made clear in the bumph provided, but they quote some weird government legislation that prevents them doing breakfast! Odd... Rooms were fine, quite nice but nothing special so glad I a better rate through Expedia. Wall paper peeling off in my room. But a fan was provided for some of the hottest days of the year which was good. Tea and coffee as normal - no biscuits on the first day! Just one pack of two on the second .. Come on! It is a nice place in a nice area, nothing special it has to be said. The advertising and website implies it is more upmarket than it turned out to be. All in all, Yes, fine, but average, verging on the disappointing. Just a point about breakfast. I travel a lot and I find some places now do a buffet style breakfast, with cereals,, toast/croissants etc left out. Milk, fruit juice and some yoghurts etc available in a fridge for customers to help themselves, very cheap and easy to do. Makes all the differenc

business trip, 1 night stay. The hotel is not operating to its full summer potential. The kitchen shuts at 20:00, meaning, not good for me getting there at 19:40. Staff were fantastic but again no breakfast offered, i am guessing it must be because its not summer. Probably if i were staying in the area again i would choose a hotel with more facilities

Enjoyed our overnight stay at this lovely property. Our room was very nice, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, both delicious and all staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Confusion on check in , got told another guest had taken our keys , so I feel we were therefore given the wrong room. The room & bathroom needs a deep clean - main light , side lamps , bathroom skirting, tile edging , sink pedestal & toilet pedestal & windows inside were all dusty/ dirty. Bed very comfy. Evening meal was good . We were woken up twice by other guests trying to get into our room . Saying they had the same room number ( unsure what happened there). Breakfast was not so good , the spinach was so watery it made the hash brown soggy & a watery plate. The place has so much potential. Decor is nice & a lovely relaxed atmosphere. It was a real shame our stay wasn’t a great experience.

Good stay - breakfast was tasty but took 40 mins to arrive even though they only have about 3 things on the menu. Room comfortable but could have done with a bit more cleaning in the bathroom

We booked a 3 night stay. we had to check out after 1 night. The room had mold in all of the window frames. When we checked out after 1 night, the man who checked us out apologised and promised to refund the 2 nights that we were unable to stay. This was a lie. The hotel is now refusing the refund the money, as we had a non-refundable rate. Apparently an uninhabitable room is our problem, not theirs. We moved to the Kings Arms hotel in Christchurch and had a fabulous experience, but are still out over $200. Terrible experience.

The staff were friendly and welcoming and my room was clean and cozy. An excellent value for the price and all the comforts of home without being home. Will definitely come back again. I highly recommend!

We were attending a wedding at Sopley Mill This was a perfect place to stay over. You can walk to Sopley mill - approx 10 minutes. The room had been recently tastefully and sympatheticly refurbished Staff were fantastic. Food excellent.

For the price paid this property is need of some TLC and pictures on site need updating. Kind of felt mis sold. Bed and room comfortable.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice room with a comfortable bed. Extra pillows provided but found them uncomfortable unfortunately. The shower lacked a shelf to put your shower gel or shampoo on. Food was nice. Nothing outstanding though.

A lovely place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The landlady who checked us in greeted us in a warm and friendly manner.

Marvelous hospitality! Neil and Lizzie made us feel at home, and even invited us to join their family/staff party on Christmas night!

We stayed here as we were attending a family wedding locally. They couldn't have been more helpful, especially as they let us have early access to our room to change clothes for the wedding. Very clean and tidy and perfect size room. Loved the shower, very invigorating and got us ready to face the day. We had a sandwich before attending the wedding to keep us going, they had the wow factor. I could only eat one half as they contained so much filling.

Everything about our stay was excellent- beautifully decorated and well appointed room, very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, and a really delicious freshly prepared breakfast! Initially a one night booking but enjoyed our stay so much we booked another night. Thank you for such an enjoyable visit 😀

2 day stay visiting family. As always, fabulous friendly people, great rooms, comfortable and topped off with a very fresh well made breakfast. Lovely spot by the river as well and only 2 miles out of the centre of Christchurch.

MArco and his team were excellent... the only issue was with the interface between hotels.com and the payment for the rooms which was made inadvance, but this was resolved asap. the breakfast was great and good variety and the hotel location was very good.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Staff are very friendly, room was cosy and clean, and it was a pleasure to return to the bar after a day out. Good location for exploring the area. Food was very good, especially breakfast which was prepared with excellent produce. Will be very happy to stay again and have no hesitation in recommending to others.

We stayed at the Fisherman’s Haunt for a night while on a family visit. Check in was easy and staff were welcoming. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant which was decent. Not the largest selection of food however what we did receive was superb and the beer selection does well for a night away. Overall would recommend to anyone in the area
