Lovely, historical building, hence a bit of a trek to the top floor (no lift, of course). Very clean, plenty of tea, water, biscuits etc. in the room. Very nice breakfast staff but when my husband queried the price of a Guinness & packet of crisps being a bit steep (£9.30), the bar lady snapped back "It's not my fault" which we didn't think, in terms of customer service, was quite the correct response!! Easy 5 minute walk to the town centre.

We had a lovely stay, the room had everything we required and was very clean. All the staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful, and seemed to genuinely enjoy working at the hotel. The location is a short walk from the town centre and there is a large car park at the hotel. We would definitely like to visit again.

Lovely overnight stay with breakfast. Friendly, welcoming, helpful staff throughout from check-in to check-out. Good breakfast and comfortable room. There is no internal lift that I'm aware of to the bedrooms up flights of stairs..

Very friendly, helpful staff from reception to bar to restaurant. Lovely comfortable room with great character features dating back to the 1500s when the hotel was built as a wool merchant's home. All that you require in a room was provided. Ample free carparking and outside seating area and great access to the town centre for exploring the 2000+ years of history on your doorstep. If you struggle with stairs, ask dor a ground floor room as the original builders didn't install a lift. Any attempt to install one now would be extremely difficult without spoiling the character of the building.

Had a great stay here for a long weekend with our dog. Room very spacious with comfortable bed, staff were very friendly, good car parking and so close to the centre of town - literally just a few minutes walk to all attractions, pubs, shops, cafes etc - would definitely recommend!

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is a lovely old building. Steep stairs and no lift due to age of building. Not a problem for us. But maybe a consideration for some, although I think there may be some ground floor rooms. Large carpark at back of hotel a bonus. Lovely garden and short walk to town centre. We would definitely stay again next time we're in Cirencester.

Well run hotel in excellent location, with good parking and nice breakfast / restaurant / bar / outdoor seating. The hotel (or at least part of it) is a grade 2 listed building (dating from 1595). As a result the rooms are quite variable in size and some are up a very steep staircase, so beware when booking. Bar had 3 handpump ales which was a pleasant surprise. Excellent breakfast and evening menus. Town centre is a short 5 minute walk. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

The location, the staff, and the hotel were perfect for our last two nights in the U.K. On hindsight, I should have reserved a bigger room as the bed was full size and a little snug for two. We did request to change it and to our surprise we slept pretty well. The breakfast was excellent (lots of food) and the outdoor seating area and inside pub were very nice.

A delightful place to stay - both this hotel and Cirencester itself. Corinium is ideally situated for main historic sights and easy walk into the centre, yet quiet and peaceful. Room, dining room and bar all comfortable and full of character and spotless. Food good quality with friendly and efficient service. Excellent attention to detail throughout. Plenty of parking in own car park.

Friendly welcome. Characterful building, both times I've stayed here so far I've had rooms with old, original features eg old beams. Clean and comfortable rooms, firm but comfortable beds. If I'm going to nitpick, the low water pressure makes the shower a bit underwhelming, but I'm really being fussy. The food is homecooked and so good, especially the pies! Friendly service in the restaurant. My hotel of choice when working in the area!

It is a very old building that has been done up nicely so the rooms are very comfortable. Stairs to the room are very small so if possible leave you big suitcase in your car and take a small bag in.

The location, the staff, and the hotel were perfect for our last two nights in the U.K. On hindsight, I should have reserved a bigger room as the bed was full size and a little snug for two. We did request to change it and to our surprise we slept pretty well. The breakfast was excellent (lots of food) and the outdoor seating area and inside pub were very nice.

A delightful place to stay - both this hotel and Cirencester itself. Corinium is ideally situated for main historic sights and easy walk into the centre, yet quiet and peaceful. Room, dining room and bar all comfortable and full of character and spotless. Food good quality with friendly and efficient service. Excellent attention to detail throughout. Plenty of parking in own car park.

We had a lovely stay, the room had everything we required and was very clean. All the staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful, and seemed to genuinely enjoy working at the hotel. The location is a short walk from the town centre and there is a large car park at the hotel. We would definitely like to visit again.

Very friendly, helpful staff from reception to bar to restaurant. Lovely comfortable room with great character features dating back to the 1500s when the hotel was built as a wool merchant's home. All that you require in a room was provided. Ample free carparking and outside seating area and great access to the town centre for exploring the 2000+ years of history on your doorstep. If you struggle with stairs, ask dor a ground floor room as the original builders didn't install a lift. Any attempt to install one now would be extremely difficult without spoiling the character of the building.

Had a great stay here for a long weekend with our dog. Room very spacious with comfortable bed, staff were very friendly, good car parking and so close to the centre of town - literally just a few minutes walk to all attractions, pubs, shops, cafes etc - would definitely recommend!

Everyone was nice and helpful. It was a quiet neighborhood, away from the center but still very walkable to the center and dining options. Breakfast was wonderful. Definitely a jewel in Cirencester!

Hotel provided ground floor room for me I have mobility issues. I was very impressed with every member of staff. Menu was excellent and varied. I would highly recommend.

A very welcoming hotel with friendly and attentive staff. The breakfasts are cooked to order and are wonderful, with excellent ingredients, The general standard of cleanliness was also very high. And of course it was only a 5 minute walk into the town centre, The decent car park was also a bonus,

Wonderful stay over the weekend. Sunday lunch was brilliant. The staff were all so helpful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, will definitely be staying again.

Friendly welcome. Characterful building, both times I've stayed here so far I've had rooms with old, original features eg old beams. Clean and comfortable rooms, firm but comfortable beds. If I'm going to nitpick, the low water pressure makes the shower a bit underwhelming, but I'm really being fussy. The food is homecooked and so good, especially the pies! Friendly service in the restaurant. My hotel of choice when working in the area!

Well run hotel in excellent location, with good parking and nice breakfast / restaurant / bar / outdoor seating. The hotel (or at least part of it) is a grade 2 listed building (dating from 1595). As a result the rooms are quite variable in size and some are up a very steep staircase, so beware when booking. Bar had 3 handpump ales which was a pleasant surprise. Excellent breakfast and evening menus. Town centre is a short 5 minute walk. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

The room shower could be upgraded from the electric system. But this is minor and common in UK - the staff are friendly and helpful, keep the place clean and make you feel welcomed. So highly recommended

In de compact double room was vooral het bed compact. Niet zo super geslapen door 2 lange mensen. De kamer is verder van alle gemakken voorzien, maar voor de prijs had ik er wat meer van verwacht, de badkamer had niet de uitstraling die ik gehoopt had voor zo'n mooi gebouw. Toen wij er waren was het erg warm. Een dyson stond al de draaien dat was lekker, er waren hele oude raampjes, paste mooi bij het karakter van het pand. Zonde dat ze het raam buiten niet bijgehouden hebben, het verfwerk was eraf en het hout aan het afscheuren. Het ontbijt was fenomenaal! Zoveel keuze en zo heerlijk. Sfeervolle bar ruimte, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, mooi restaurant, heerlijk terras en in een ontzettend leuke plaats.

Beautiful hotel 5 mins from town where there are lots of shops, cafes and pubs. The staff at the hotel were all fantastic from the moment we arrived and throughout. The room had everything needed for our 1 night stay. The hotel itself was very charming with a lovely bar area and restaurant area too. Breakfast was amazing with so much choice. The outside garden area was also a lovely place to relax in the sunshine with a morning coffee or afternoon drink, plenty of space, tables and umbrellas. We felt very comfortable and would definitely recommend 100%.

Great hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast, but don't choose the 'character' bedrooms if you're tall - lots of low beams and our room had a four poster bedframe with a low frame which my poor husband repeatedly banged his head on
