Clearly as advertised and more, surrounded by outstanding scenery, particularly now in autumn. The cottage was very bright, clean and well supplied with home from home high standard facilities including bedding cutlery and crockery. Excellent heating system and ample storage space especially the “walk in wardrobes”. A pleasure to stay and obviously a host with a vision.

The Kist was the perfect spot to stop off at on our way home from Coll. We loved sitting on the deck, listening to the birds singing, and looking at the view. The kitchen was really well equipped, and beds comfy. Thank you!

The accommodation is excellent. Cosy and warm with great duvets on the beds. Kitchen has everything you could possily need. The location is really quiet and peaceful. Parking right at the entrance. Only grumble is that the couches are at right angles to the TV screen. Communication from owner was first class. A return visit is a definite possibility.

The Kist was in a nice secluded location which was exactly what we were looking for. Very modern, comfortable and cosy. Equipped to a very high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our break and hope to return at some point.

Hidden and quiet, the Kist is a two bedroom/two bathroom house situated in a rural area! We enjoyed our stay so much! Everything you need is here as a base to explore or just relax on a holiday. Iona was very helpful before our arrival with instructions and directions, and when we first arrived as I needed help to operate the washer. Thanks for a great stay Iona! Would not hesitate to stay at the Kist again!

The Kist has a super layout and feels spacious and private. The kitchen was fully equiped and bed really confy. Although sited on a single track road it's proximity to Loch Lomand, Srirling and even Glasgow was ideal. I have alreadt recommended it to a friend.

We stayed with another couple and our 2 dogs. The lodge was perfect in terms of layout, facilities and the location. Described accurately and we just loved our stay in a gorogeous setting. Would love to return for another stay!

Wonderful place to stay , quiet , relaxing and beautiful setting Iona was very nice and helpful and her place is amazing to stay in Spotlessly clean with super comfy beds and a large decking which was great for our weekend of sunshine We will be back very soon to spend some time chilling in this wonderful place

We had a lovely stay at The Kist over Christmas. The Kist was spotless and in a great location. Iona made the stay extra special by decorating The Kist with tree and lights and also leaving stockings for our boys. We definitely plan on going back.

The Kist is brilliant. Really modern accomodation in the most beautiful setting. The house has everything you could think of. Perfect location to access the surrounding countryside but also easy into Edinburgh. We will definitely be back!

Just spent a fantastic week at The Kist. Beautifully appointed holiday house in a wonderfully peaceful location. Nicely isolated, but close to lovely villages with coffee shops etc. Glorious views of the Campsie hills in one direction and the Cairngorms in the other when out exploring the area. We were blessed with superb sunny and warm weather but, if we’d had more normal Scottish weather, we’d have been just as happy snuggling down to chill in the very comfortable house. Friendly and very helpful hosts. Looking forward to returning in the hopefully not too distant future.

Wife and I and our wee dog stayed for a couple of nights and enjoyed it thoroughly. Bit off the beaten track but thats what we wanted, Would stay again no problem. The Kist is a very modern cottage.

Superb stay at The Kist with everything you’d ever need. Stunning location, perfect break away from everyday life. Iona gave us a late checkout which was greatly appreciated too. Highly recommended & will definitely return in the future.

We spent a wonderful couple of days in this lovely property and would highly recommend it. Iona was an incredibly friendly and responsive host. There is lots to do within a short drive of the house - but the location is so beautiful it was an effort to tear ourselves away!

Amazing area, around 3 miles from the nearest village - you can find there peace and quiet so much neeeded when you want to reset from a daily buzz. The same time there is 4G mobile network, wifi strong enough to watch netflix or stay in touch with friends and family and of course the freeview TV. House is very tastefully arranged however it's getting a bit tired. The owners are acroas the yard from you but in my case the communication could be better. Sent email a day before arriving re check in and got no reply ended up calling on the day of arrival. One day there was no hot water texta Iona but got not reply, although when we come back from the drive the hot water wad back on. On anotger occasion when the heating stopped working Iona came within 5 minutes.

We had a great stay again, we go mainly for our dog as he petrified of fireworks and now as this is our second stay we will be there every year if possible as we make it a wee long weekend for us too. Lovely Host too.

Our stay was exactly what my partner and I wanted . Complete quiet in the middle of nature With only the wildlife making a noise ..that matched with the stunning views was ideal .. Local shops,cafes, pubs only a short drive and endless beautiful walks such as loch lomand, conic hill, ben lomand ..if you dont mind driving your adventures are endless all the way through stunning glencoe, or some amzing beaches!Our host Iona was fantastic, really made us welcome and feel at home we will definatly be back for another escape.....

Set in stunning grounds with beautiful scenery, The Kist was exactly want we wanted to get away and enjoy the peace and quiet. We took our German Shepherd dog who just loved the space. Lovely hosts who live nearby and Iona was there to assist with anything we wanted. The proprty has everything you need, including a wine cooler which was well used!. Had a wonderful few days and will be back, thank you.

Very nice stay where everything is done to make it easy and agreeable. The fields with the sheep are only a few steps away. Within easy reach of Loch Lomond, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Lovely relaxing couple of nights at the Kist. Everything was as described. Would definitely book again. Just be aware of the bumpy roads in the area but that's obviously that is nothing to do with the host! Thank you for a great place to stay.

The Kist is in a very quiet rural area located down a windy narrow road. If you desire a beautiful two bedroom cottage with a great kitchen this is a great space for you. We spent 2 nights early April when all of the area fields are sprinkled the sheep and their newborn lambs. We explored the acreage the Kist sits on with beautiful views of the fields and hills, listening to the lambs calling for their moms. So peaceful, serene, yet close enough to a few must see sights such as Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond. Know that restaurants in the villages close by are very limited for evening meals. Suggest making food in the evening at the Kist after a day of adventure. Well appointed kitchen with large fridge/freezer, oven, cooktop. Bedrooms are on opposite ends of home which is nice for quiet and privacy. Would highly recommend if you need tranquility and don't mind driving to attractions.

Just spent a fantastic week at The Kist. Beautifully appointed holiday house in a wonderfully peaceful location. Nicely isolated, but close to lovely villages with coffee shops etc. Glorious views of the Campsie hills in one direction and the Cairngorms in the other when out exploring the area. We were blessed with superb sunny and warm weather but, if we’d had more normal Scottish weather, we’d have been just as happy snuggling down to chill in the very comfortable house. Friendly and very helpful hosts. Looking forward to returning in the hopefully not too distant future.

This beautiful property is within easy reach of Glasgow, Stirling, Perth and Loch Lomand. We used it as a base for visiting family in the area and took in a few tourist destinations too. The property is well equipped and very comfortable, a real home from home.

What a lovely place to stay. This unit is very remote, and if thats what you're looking for then this is the place for you, windy roads to it and a small villages a few miles each way from it. Gorgeous views, dark skies, wildlife and all around a gorgeous unit. Has everything you'd want. Iona was great, lovely lady and very helpful. We'd certainly recommend and will also return.

The Kist is one of the most beautiful accommodations, we‘ve ever been. Surrounded by fields & hills, with a lot of animals around you, it is very quiet. On the other hand the next greater town (Stirling) is not far away and from there you can travel by train very easy and fast to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Stirling is also worth visiting. The accommodation is very nice and equipped and Ilona and her husband are very helpful landlords. I hope, we will come back one day!

Clearly as advertised and more, surrounded by outstanding scenery, particularly now in autumn. The cottage was very bright, clean and well supplied with home from home high standard facilities including bedding cutlery and crockery. Excellent heating system and ample storage space especially the “walk in wardrobes”. A pleasure to stay and obviously a host with a vision.

The Kist was the perfect spot to stop off at on our way home from Coll. We loved sitting on the deck, listening to the birds singing, and looking at the view. The kitchen was really well equipped, and beds comfy. Thank you!

The Kist is in a very quiet rural area located down a windy narrow road. If you desire a beautiful two bedroom cottage with a great kitchen this is a great space for you. We spent 2 nights early April when all of the area fields are sprinkled the sheep and their newborn lambs. We explored the acreage the Kist sits on with beautiful views of the fields and hills, listening to the lambs calling for their moms. So peaceful, serene, yet close enough to a few must see sights such as Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond. Know that restaurants in the villages close by are very limited for evening meals. Suggest making food in the evening at the Kist after a day of adventure. Well appointed kitchen with large fridge/freezer, oven, cooktop. Bedrooms are on opposite ends of home which is nice for quiet and privacy. Would highly recommend if you need tranquility and don't mind driving to attractions.

the property is as advertised. Clean,cozy and quiet. The only noise come from the sheep,chickens and cows. Convenient to many villages with pubs and restaurants. We used it as a base to eexplore the highlands. Glencoe a must see.Iona the host was delightful and very helpful.

The Kist was a great place to get away for a few days. Everything worked as it should and it was very comfortable. Distance to shops wasn’t too far but a trek non the less. It was disappointing to not be able to let the dogs run free as there is plenty of land and a fenced/gated area at the back would have been better. All in all, the stay was lovely and relaxing. If I was going back with just my wife, it would be okay, but not with the dogs.

The Kist has a super layout and feels spacious and private. The kitchen was fully equiped and bed really confy. Although sited on a single track road it's proximity to Loch Lomand, Srirling and even Glasgow was ideal. I have alreadt recommended it to a friend.

Our stay was exactly what my partner and I wanted . Complete quiet in the middle of nature With only the wildlife making a noise ..that matched with the stunning views was ideal .. Local shops,cafes, pubs only a short drive and endless beautiful walks such as loch lomand, conic hill, ben lomand ..if you dont mind driving your adventures are endless all the way through stunning glencoe, or some amzing beaches!Our host Iona was fantastic, really made us welcome and feel at home we will definatly be back for another escape.....

The place was lovely and relaxing, it’s still within driving distance of lots of places just wish we could of stayed longer, there was everything needed for cooking and was great that there was a washing machine it was unexpected necessity which was really good.Would love to go in the summer and explore more as it was very dark but would deffo recommend x
