Outstanding in every way. Everything positive other reviewers say about the place is true so I won't repeat them here. Many thoughtful additions/appointments make your stay a couple of shelves above 'OK'. There's no internet but Starlink Mini worked well enough (Best location is right on the deck rail a few feet beyond the steps and orient the antenna towards the north. The app will do the rest.) The drain field immediately to the east of The Junction (with a nice fire pit) makes for a great drone operations site. The only FYI worth the mention is that you need to be aware that the final mile-plus of road is primitive and nowhere near code. You need a SUV or truck (preferably 4WD). The first time you encounter it you likely will be intimidated and wonder if you've followed directions correctly. Just relax, take it slow, keep an eye out for the big rocks that will rip out an oil pan if you don't have the clearance, and hum a few bars from 'Deliverance'. If you've never been here, I highly recommend that you do NOT arrive in the dark. The Junction is well lit and you won't miss it.

This was exactly what we were looking for. Secluded, private, no WiFi , no cell service, and right on the water. This is the perfect get away for two. The owners are awesome, and the amenities are everything you need.

This unique and beautiful property did not disappoint. The sound of the beautiful creek is so soothing. The cozy porch was so inviting and comfortable. We ate our breakfast and dinner outside by candlelight. They’ve thought of everything you could need in the well appointed kitchen. We roasted hotdogs on the nice outdoor fire pit. Watched movies and enjoyed so much this much needed getaway. Excellent precise directions were great. We will definitely be planning a return visit !!!

This cabin and property is incredible. If you are looking for seclusion, nature, comfort and adventure, look no further. The owners put so much effort into maintaining this wonderful forested retreat that you will want to return every year! Waking up to the calming sounds of the brook is a real treat, as is cozily watching a thunderstorm from the deck, or curling up near the fire pit on a cool evening.

The Junction was exactly as pictured on VRBO. Cutest little tiny house ever! It had everything we needed and after a day we stopped missing WiFi and Internet. The scenery was breathtaking, listening to the sound of the water running over the rocks on the creeks below was the most beautiful sound when waking up drinking coffee in the coolness of the morning air and to hear the same sound at night took all the stress away. Everything we needed was there, comfy bed and the softest sheets I've ever slept on. I thought the tiny shower would be a challenge but I found that it was very comfortable and even though the water tank was only 20 gallons, we easily took showers without running out of hot water..I've got longer hair so I was worried about the water pressure getting all the soap out, but the pressure was almost better than I have in my own home. The loft above was pretty cool and loaded with games and puzzles, so we took advantage of that a few times. Communication with Alice was easy and quick, plenty of instructions and brochures on the kitchen table to help us navigate our first trip to NC...It was nice to know that our hosts were not far away if we had a problem, but not ONE single problem in the 4-5 days we were there. The gravel road took a minute to get used to but it was quite quaint and charming. I can't think of one single bad thing about our trip! Thank you Alice for allowing us to spend a few days in a beautiful place! I would highly recommend this!

Started this adventure with the final mile of road not being as challenging as I thought it would be. Actually, it only adds to the backwoods atmosphere which was the idea in the first place! Cabin/cottage more than ample size, particularly with the huge deck which offers both covered and open areas for relaxing in sun or shade. And the 4-5’ ceiling height of the carpeted loft area would have been a cool and exciting sleeping-bag experience for me when I was a kid, not to mention the fun-looking stairs to climb in order to get up there! Every conceivable item of convenience has been thought of in order for guests to have an all-around perfect stay. Great view from the deck 30-40’ above the creek, as well as easy access below for fishing and/or wading. Just a great all-around enjoyable experience thanks to Alice and Doug!!

The Junction is off the beaten path but definitely worth the trip. No cell service, no wi-fi - the perfect place to disappear for a while. The photos of the view of the river from the deck do not do it justice. Truly beautiful. And the hosts are wonderful. Highly recommend.

The property was just as advertised - clean, up-to-date, comfortable, and scenic. The furnishings inside the house were incredible, and the porch was beautiful. We spent the majority of our time sitting on the porch watching and listening to the river. Alice was a wonderful host, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Junction!

This cabin was neat and tidy! I expected to see bugs since we were in the middle of the woods but I never saw any inside the cabin! Sitting on the porch and listening to the creek was very relaxing. The owners were great in communicating directions and instructions to us and always available to answer our questions. I would highly recommend this cabin for a quiet retreat and any other properties that these owners own!

Husband and I had a WONDERFUL stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. The Junction is a very nice clean home. If you want to stay somewhere quiet and peaceful then The Junction is the place for you and Mrs. Alice is a very sweet lady, and full of a LOT of info of the area. We loved it so much we’re already planing to go back soon. Thank you Mrs. Alice

If you like seclusion, outdoors, wildlife, streams, fishing and connecting with yourself this is the place. We stayed Sun to Sun and only left once. It was spectacular. I fished a couple times a day and caught fish. The cabin was clean and well supplied and amenities were perfect. Thank you Alice and Doug for a vacation to remember.

My husband and I stayed here as a getaway for my birthday and we could not have asked for a better location, cabin, and host. We had an amazing amount of privacy, and the creek below provides a beautiful 24/7 sound bath. Alice is an absolute gem of a host, and it’s obvious just how much pride she and Doug take in making sure this cabin remains clean and in beautiful condition. The cabin provides absolutely everything you need (except groceries, of course). We were lucky to have found this place and we would absolutely LOVE to come back and enjoy The Junction again and again. Thank you for making my birthday so special, Alice and Doug!!!!

My son and I visited so he could fish the nearby trout streams. The location couldn’t have been more perfect. It was very serene and tranquil, away from everything. The house was super clean and cutely decorated and equipped with all comforts of home. The bed was extremely comfortable and they were plenty of places to sit and relax. We really appreciated all of the small touches and loved the chocolate chip muffins! My son had great success fishing in the stream right outside of the house. We will definitely be back to the area and hope to stay here again.

We have to say this has to be the most well equipped and cleanest rental we have ever stayed in, not to mention the most accommodating hosts, Alice and Doug. We caught trout right out the back and only wish we could have extended our stay longer.

The cabin was perfect for us. We were shocked right away how big it was, especially the deck outside. It was a great, peaceful place to slow down for a few days. It was also close enough for us to go hike in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as well as other nearby sites and attractions. My wife and I weren’t as prepared as normal for our trip. Good thing we booked through Alice! I think she was the most organized host we’ve had. Her information and directions sent beforehand were great, and additional information in the cabin helped us plan out our empty days. Thanks so much for a perfect getaway! Would gladly return.

Absolutely breathtaking! Relaxation and beauty at its finest. Perfectly appointed, this cabin is one of the best VRBO's we have ever spent time in! The sound of the creek lulled us into a tranquil state. The majestic trees surrounding the cabin made it feel like we were spending the night in a tree house.

I thought the tiny shower would be a challenge but I found that it was very comfortable and even though the water tank was only 20 gallons, we easily took showers without running out of hot water..I've got longer hair so I was worried about the water pressure getting all the soap out, but the pressure was almost better than I have in my own home. The loft above was pretty cool and loaded with games and puzzles, so we took advantage of that a few times. Communication with Alice was easy and quick, plenty of instructions and brochures on the kitchen table to help us navigate our first trip to NC...It was nice to know that our hosts were not far away if we had a problem, but not ONE single problem in the 4-5 days we were there. The gravel road took a minute to get used to but it was quite quaint and charming. I can't think of one single bad thing about our trip! Thank you Alice for allowing us to spend a few days in a beautiful place! I would highly recommend this!

Cabin/cottage more than ample size, particularly with the huge deck which offers both covered and open areas for relaxing in sun or shade. And the 4-5’ ceiling height of the carpeted loft area would have been a cool and exciting sleeping-bag experience for me when I was a kid, not to mention the fun-looking stairs to climb in order to get up there! Every conceivable item of convenience has been thought of in order for guests to have an all-around perfect stay. Great view from the deck 30-40’ above the creek, as well as easy access below for fishing and/or wading. Just a great all-around enjoyable experience thanks to Alice and Doug!!

This cabin was neat and tidy! I expected to see bugs since we were in the middle of the woods but I never saw any inside the cabin! Sitting on the porch and listening to the creek was very relaxing. The owners were great in communicating directions and instructions to us and always available to answer our questions. I would highly recommend this cabin for a quiet retreat and any other properties that these owners own!

We had a quick overnight stay but would definitely return! The house was perfect for us - and so peaceful! We went to Joyce Kilmer Forest nearby which I highly recommend. Alice was wonderful to work with and added little touches to make it special. Definitely recommend!!

The cabin was perfect for us. We were shocked right away how big it was, especially the deck outside. It was a great, peaceful place to slow down for a few days. It was also close enough for us to go hike in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as well as other nearby sites and attractions. My wife and I weren’t as prepared as normal for our trip. Good thing we booked through Alice! I think she was the most organized host we’ve had. Her information and directions sent beforehand were great, and additional information in the cabin helped us plan out our empty days. Thanks so much for a perfect getaway! Would gladly return.

My son and I visited so he could fish the nearby trout streams. The location couldn’t have been more perfect. It was very serene and tranquil, away from everything. The house was super clean and cutely decorated and equipped with all comforts of home. The bed was extremely comfortable and they were plenty of places to sit and relax. We really appreciated all of the small touches and loved the chocolate chip muffins! My son had great success fishing in the stream right outside of the house. We will definitely be back to the area and hope to stay here again.

This place is a little slice of heaven on earth. Alice is the most wonderful host and her written directions to the cabin is perfect. She thought of every detail. We got there after dark and the house was lit up with a small Christmas tree and just enough lighting that it reminded me of Thomas Kincaid art. My BF and I had the most wonderful relaxing time. I can’t wait to go back!

We have to say this has to be the most well equipped and cleanest rental we have ever stayed in, not to mention the most accommodating hosts, Alice and Doug. We caught trout right out the back and only wish we could have extended our stay longer.

Outstanding in every way. Everything positive other reviewers say about the place is true so I won't repeat them here. Many thoughtful additions/appointments make your stay a couple of shelves above 'OK'. There's no internet but Starlink Mini worked well enough (Best location is right on the deck rail a few feet beyond the steps and orient the antenna towards the north. The app will do the rest.) The drain field immediately to the east of The Junction (with a nice fire pit) makes for a great drone operations site. The only FYI worth the mention is that you need to be aware that the final mile-plus of road is primitive and nowhere near code. You need a SUV or truck (preferably 4WD). The first time you encounter it you likely will be intimidated and wonder if you've followed directions correctly. Just relax, take it slow, keep an eye out for the big rocks that will rip out an oil pan if you don't have the clearance, and hum a few bars from 'Deliverance'. If you've never been here, I highly recommend that you do NOT arrive in the dark. The Junction is well lit and you won't miss it.

Once you arrive at the cabin/tiny house it is adorable and very tranquil and has all of your basic needs. I suggest you arrive at the cabin during daylight hours. We made the mistake of arriving at nightfall and it made locating it tricky. I am more of a going places and doing things kind of person so that required a lot of driving as the little town of Robbinsville has nothing to offer. However, you can get to Bryson and Cherokee in a little over an hour or so. If you really want to just relax and disconnect from the world, this is your place.

The Junction is off the beaten path but definitely worth the trip. No cell service, no wi-fi - the perfect place to disappear for a while. The photos of the view of the river from the deck do not do it justice. Truly beautiful. And the hosts are wonderful. Highly recommend.

First of all, this spot was perfect. From the small details like fishing poles and bait to the comfort of falling asleep to the sound of the creek behind the house. It was extremely relaxing. Plenty of rocks to be found for the avid rockhounds out there, which my wife is one of them. The cabin was absolutely great in every way, super clean and provided everything we needed and nothing we didnt. Funny enough, we were starving when we made it in and initially joked how food wasnt provided, only to discover two muffins awaiting our arrival; an ironic blessing. As for the title, I am glad I brought a truck. The directions getting there were easy enough to follow, even in the dead of night. But you are definitely "off grid'ish" way back in the woods on what seems like a perfect 4 wheeling trail. How they got a Miata back there is a mystery I have yet to solve. I would definitely recommend vehicles larger than a car - truck, suv, van... something of that variety, if you value your vehicle. If you end up on street racer paradise road, God be with you. It's awesome! But not so much in a truck. All in all, it was a great trip and will definitely be back, and will stay at this property again. Kudos to the home owners! They have provided an amazing location to get away from the daily grind.

If you’re looking to unplug and getaway this the place! Everything about the location of this property is so peaceful. The owner’s have maintained this cabin beautifully and I feel like they go above and beyond to make sure their guests have everything they need! I have never stayed in a cabin that had a kitchen that was so well stocked. This was an overall great experience for my husband and I! We hope to be back. Thank you Alice & Doug!

This is the perfect place to disconnect from the daily grind and reconnect with your spouse. We so enjoyed the fact that nature surrounded us and reminded us we where all that was needed. The cabin is beautiful and stocked with all the essentials, just bring your groceries and get ready to unwind. We walked the creek, drove the mountains and even played board games, most of all we held hands, talked and enjoyed our time together. Perfect is what it seems to be.

This unique and beautiful property did not disappoint. The sound of the beautiful creek is so soothing. The cozy porch was so inviting and comfortable. We ate our breakfast and dinner outside by candlelight. They’ve thought of everything you could need in the well appointed kitchen. We roasted hotdogs on the nice outdoor fire pit. Watched movies and enjoyed so much this much needed getaway. Excellent precise directions were great. We will definitely be planning a return visit !!!

The Junction was exactly as pictured on VRBO. Cutest little tiny house ever! It had everything we needed and after a day we stopped missing WiFi and Internet. What a quaint surprise, tucked away in the serene hollow of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mtns. The creek was perfect and the cabin was everything we needed and wished for! We did a lot of our cooking and the kitchen is efficient. No cell signal and no WiFi took some getting used to, lol, but was exactly what we needed to recharge. We walked the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest Trail and must say, it’s amazing!!! Allow yourself a couple of hours to really take it all in.

This cabin was absolutely gorgeous, and the creek was so amazing to just sit and watch. The kitchen was extremely well stocked for cooking, directions to get to the cabin were easy to follow, overall just an amazing place. Had everything we needed and was the perfect getaway. We will be coming back in the future!

My husband and me had an amazing time at this cabin I would 100% stay here again the host are very lovely people and super helpful if you have any questions! The cabin was very clean and cozy and the creek outside was breathtaking. Alice and Doug are the best hosts

We didn't lack for anything while we were there.. We wanted a remote place, to hang out and relax, and that's what we go! Alice was very helpful with suggestions and things to do, and we couldn't have asked for a better hostess!

Their are not enough words to describe the feelings this paradise invokes within. Alice and Doug has really created an atmosphere of relaxation, tranquility, serenity, and peace. The cabin had everything we needed. We was sad to leave it. We know we will return. We caught some rainbow trout in the creek. That was some good eating on our last night here. Thank you again Alice and Doug for everything.
