Great location. The receptionist couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Plenty of safe parking . The bedroom was a good size amd well equipped.

Receptionist was never seen at any point during a Thursday to Saturday stay and checking in and out was achieved via a text with codes and a basket for the key. With a trip out on the Friday we left the “clean room” sign out. The bin was emptied, the cups changed and coffee etc replenished, but the bed didn’t get made nor the towels changed. There was parking on site but the majority of spaces were taken by visitors to the neighbouring Indian restaurant and bar. Whilst we didn’t mind so much the service for a £65 a night room without breakfast on Thursday, at £95 on Friday this was really poor and I most certainly wouldn’t recommend to others.

We did not see any staff at all during our stay (instructions for check-in were given by email/text message) but compared with where we had come from the room was wonderful with all the facilities we could wish for. Plenty of free parking available. The only downside was noise, from both traffic and the room fridge.

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Room was clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed. Bathroom was clean, great hot water, comfy towels and linen. Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend as an option near Salisbury.

Staff were friendly. Room was very clean. Listing was technically accurate. However, it was listed as one double bed and two twins. One of the twins was nothing more than a roll away and very uncomfortable. Also, the hotel is located very close to a busy highway. I don’t know anything about the other rooms, but room #8 was right next to the highway and quite loud.

Simply amazing! Apartment was a nice surprise upgrade but in any case this hotel is a great value for the price. Comfy kingbed, quality furniture, large bathtub, tv with streaming all setup, tea/coffee/biscuits at will. The entrance is a little underwhelming but the rooms are ace. Very convenient for the new forest. Highly recommend! Will stay again.

Bed was very Comfortable. Room clean and well presented. Loved the fact that there was a small refrigerator in the room My only criticisms were that the TV was rather small & the road outside a little busy . I only used the tea facilities . Having said that I would definitely stay again

Great room very comfortable. King size bed. Good value for the price. Reception only open from 3pm to 7pm. Very pleasant and helpful receptionist. Will stay here again if in the area.

Stayed here 3 times in 13 months booked again for 2025. Rooms are comfy and clean good amenities, plenty of on site parking, lovely Indian restaurant next door, good location for the New Forest (hence the name) and for overnight if cruising from Southampton.

The room it’s self was lovely and clean and very spacious but looking at the pictures we thought there was fields outside for the children to play and walk the dog, this is not the case, it’s on a very busy main road.

Although named 'New Forest Lodge', it's a small place positioned slightly away from the New Forest. A good drive to most places, at the northern end of the New Forest with some parking. With an Indian restaurant next door, that takes the parking on a busy night. On booking with Expedia we expected a 'family room', but on arrival were placed into a 'twin'. This gave the hotel a bit of a problem, and we are beyond pushing beds together. The hotel manager moved us to another double room which was better. The rooms are clean and tidy, with tea, coffee, kettle etc and small TV. The bathroom although dated was clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. In the reception area was a stock of plates and cutlery with dining seating and a vending machine, if you brought your own food, it was handy. For preparing packed lunches etc. the iron was also kept there. Overall it was very clean, tidy and safe and a good standard of budget accommodation

Lovely property - our room is very large and spacious, the bathroom is immaculate. There are plenty of tea bags and sugar, the bed is beautifully dressed and very comfortable. The hostess recommended a restaurant next door - Indian cuisine - for dinner, and we did and that too was wonderful.

We stayed in the Apartment. It slept 6, but there were 3 of us, so plenty of space. 2 bathrooms . No elevator , but only a couple of flights . No breakfast, but we ate breakfast at the Garden Center , 5 minutes drive away. Great place !Lodge location was ok. Obviously one would be driving to the Lodge . But an easy place to fine and easy access into Salisbury. Next door to the New Forest Lodge was an Indian Restaurant. We didn’t try it as we had eaten at a super restaurant in Salisbury. We stayed in the Apartment. It slept 6, but there were 3 of us, so plenty of space. 2 bathrooms . No elevator , but only a couple of flights . No breakfast, but we ate breakfast at the Garden Center , 5 minutes drive away. Great place !Lodge location was ok. Obviously one would be driving to the Lodge . But an easy place to fine and easy access into Salisbury. Next door to the New Forest Lodge was an Indian Restaurant. We didn’t try it as we had eaten at a super restaurant in Salisbury. Reasonable room. Little bit dated decor and tv was a bit basic for the money. Didn't think it was a 4 star, would have expected some breafast options for that.

Although named 'New Forest Lodge', it's a small place positioned slightly away from the New Forest. A good drive to most places, at the northern end of the New Forest with some parking. With an Indian restaurant next door, that takes the parking on a busy night. On booking with Expedia we expected a 'family room', but on arrival were placed into a 'twin'. This gave the hotel a bit of a problem, and we are beyond pushing beds together. The hotel manager moved us to another double room which was better. The rooms are clean and tidy, with tea, coffee, kettle etc and small TV. The bathroom although dated was clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. In the reception area was a stock of plates and cutlery with dining seating and a vending machine, if you brought your own food, it was handy. For preparing packed lunches etc. the iron was also kept there. Overall it was very clean, tidy and safe and a good standard of budget accommodation

Comfortable. No breakfast options. On main A36 so traffic noise during day, not to bad at night. Indian restaurant next door otherwise travel to eat. Bending machine for chocolate and crisps. 10 mins drive from Salisbury.

A new experience for us, a hotel that offered very comfortable rooms, and a community room equipped with a kettle a toaster and a microwave so we could prepare snacks and breakfasts for ourselves. The bedroom had a reasonable sized fridge enabling us to store dairy products and other chilled foods. There was a garden centre near by where we could have breakfasts,. The was an Indian restaurant next door and a local pub just up the road where evening meals were available. These facilities suited our needs. The location of the hotel was ideal for visiting and exploring the New Forest and we found a variety of interesting places to visit. Attractive villages, good forest walks, the sea was not far away either. Also near by was Romsey, anattractive market town, Beaulieu with the National Motor Museum, and the cathedral city of Salisbury. The manager was very helpful and friendly.We had a most enjoyable week here and would certainly come and stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay and fitted our needs perfectly. A calm environment and area although we were disturbed a little by the traffic on the first night but didn’t notice on the following nights. As others have said a little dated in some ways and I used a chair next to the bed to charge my devices etc as no bedside table. Will go back.

Did not sleep at all as our room was roadside ! Noise ! It was so hot that I had to make a choice between noise of traffic or be boiling hot if windows closed . There was a mobile air con that was blowing warm not cold ! On the good side parking was available, good size room and bathroom. Had a mini fridge that was a bonus!

We stayed on one of the hottest weeks of the year, there was no air con. They used a cheap plug in machine, like a fan just recirculating hot air. This was unbearable. The road the lodge is situated on, is extremely noisy. So having the windows open, only made matters worse. Don’t book this venue if you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise. A branch fell off the tree, that was in the designated parking area and scratched the roof of my car. The details clearly state it’s staffed 3-7 but then I was told it’s staffed 3-5. We arrived before 5 and there didn’t appear to be any staff onsite available. People outside were calling out to each other loudly between 6-7am, I’m not sure if these were guests or not but I wasn’t impressed. My nights sleep was hot and disturbed throughout.

It is a nice hotel for 2 nights. In the room was a selection of tea & coffee. It has the bonus to be next to a very good Indian Restaurant which it would recommend. From the hotel it was an easy reach to Salisbury and Stonehenge.
