We very much enjoyed the Craigie. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff were awesome. Restaurant and bar choices were wonderful. We took advantage of the bus stop across the street to get to Roslyn and Edinburgh.

We really enjoyed the beer garden in the afternoon. The wait staff at the bar, dinner and breakfast were very good. The room was a little small but very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice too. We’d definitely recommend this hotel.

The Craigie is excellent hotel with lovely rooms. Our dinner there was excellent. Our breakfast was also very good. The staff were helpful & friendly. My only negative comment is that the carpet in the dining area & on the stairs needs replacing; it is worn & stained.

Very clean, good shower and hot water, loved the shower gel and shampoo. Adjustable heating, good reading light and very comfortable bed. Good food at dinner and breakfast. Enjoyed reading about the history of The Craigie and the bar is housed in one of the old, attractive rooms. The only problem for us was the loud pop music which is not to our taste. We are classical musicians and would prefer something that suites most tastes such as jazz or film music or silence. Otherwise excellent.

This property is gorgeous, and the staff, including the owner, are wonderful. The room was spacious and very clean. We were there during a bit of a heat wave and the hotel provided a fan. Complimentary breakfast is off of the regular menu, and since the food is phenomenal, it really adds to the value of this incredible hotel. Deserves 10 stars!!

We only stayed there for one night and we stayed there because it's close to the airport. The hotel and room were nice and clean, the bed was quite comfortable - no complaints :). The service at the restaurant was quite slow, but the food was good once it arrived.

From the moment we arrived the staff were very friendly and attentive. Room was bright and clean, comfortable bed and lovely sized shower. The food was second to none, good selection fro dinner and breakfast was good quality produce. If we had a comment it would be stair carpets could be maintained.

I'd booked the wrong date by mistake, on arrival i realised and the woman on reception made a few calls, i then amended my booking to the correct date and luckily they had 1 room left! The staff went above and beyong with everything, service was fantastic, food was amazing, breakfast was amazing! The room was super clean and just what i needed after a 4 hour drive up from the midlands.

The Craigie was our second hotel on our trip to Scotland. An amazing small hotel, only 16 rooms. Our room was plenty big enough for us and very well decorated, and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom was was clean and had a good bath and shower. The food was something else. Very high quality and the full Scottish breakfast was enough to last me all day. The fact that locals come to wine and dine there, I think also speaks for the quality. Staff were all polite and friendly. Would we go back, yes we would.

Overall, I thought the place was delightful. We were arriving later than planned due to flight delays, and I messaged the Craigie through the hotels app and received a very quick response. They assured me there would be no problems. They were right. They were waiting, and extremely courteous and cordial. The room was delightful. Clean and very much in style with the amazing history of the hotel. Very high recommendations.

A group of us stayed here for my sisters wedding and I cannot begin to explain just how amazing this place was from start to finish. The staff were absolutely outstanding and went above and beyond with every request. Jamie was such a lovely guy, no request was too big and he anlways made something work. He gave my sister the perfect wedding day that for sure will not be forgotten!! I cannot thank him enough. Even the housekeeping blew us away, our rooms were an absolute mess from the chaos of getting ready in the day of the wedding and they came in as normal to make the beds etc, but they also organised our personal things to make them look tidier too (huge help). The food was incredible and served very quickly. The friendliness that radiates off the staff and the building itself is second to none. I would most definitely recommend staying here and will definitely return at some point. Just amazing!!!

Das Hotel liegt außerhalb von Edinburgh auf dem Land, aber mit dem Bus (Haltestelle direkt vor der Tür ist Edinburgh gut zu erreichen. Ein altes Landhaus mit neuem Anbau. Ein Hotel mit einem ganz eigenen Charme.

Really nice hotel, Staff were friendly, food offering was excellent, and not overpriced, top quality and varied breakfast options available, it was local whit week gala when we stayed so bar and restaurant were very busy staff were well organised and did not feel ignored. We stayed to attend Robbie concert in Edinburgh, it really easy to access park and ride (20 min drive) and there was a local bus stop that took you straight to Princes St right at the end of the drive. I am also told by a local that its well placed if you are going to a golf course iin the area!

The Craigie had the best breakfast of anywhere we stayed during our trip to Great Britain. The room was plenty big for our family and had modern amenities. It was convenient for daily excursions to Edinburgh. It was also nice to have a big car park since we had rented a car for our trip. We would stay here again!

This was by far the best room we stayed in during our entire Scotland trip! It's a bit far and difficult to access Edinburgh if you don't have a car, we went to a car park half way there, and ubered into town. (I don't like driving in downtown Edinburgh, the pedestrians are crazy!) The restaurant is best for breakfast. It was calm and quiet. But the stairs! No elevator, so beware!

This was by far the best room we stayed in during our entire Scotland trip! It's a bit far and difficult to access Edinburgh if you don't have a car, we went to a car park half way there, and ubered into town. (I don't like driving in downtown Edinburgh, the pedestrians are crazy!) The restaurant is best for breakfast. It was calm and quiet. But the stairs! No elevator, so beware!

This was a return visit to The Craigie. We stayed here at the beginning & end of our visit to Scotland. It has good proximity to Edinburgh Airport without being in the middle of the hustle & bustle-about a 1/2 hour, 15 mile distance but on the west of the City. The hotel is very pleasantly situated with lovely rooms & a nice bar & restaurant.

This hotel is only 30 minutes in to the centre of Edinburgh, so really well placed and not so expensive, the food was amazing and the rooms very clean. I would stay here again and again.

Staff on Reception & Bar Staff really professional, happy and attentive. A couple of issues in the bathroom-glass panel above shower was loose - this got fixed during our stay. Bed excellent, Staff Great, Hotel Lovely Period Property, Great Value! Improve Food :- Please less frozen products (fresh scampi not frozen) Chips frozen takes a little more time but freshly cut better. On our second day we had an early checkout. I recommend the Grab Bag breakfast which we were given should be improved. The pastries were stale. It was nice to have Juice & Fruit. The staff were fantastic, best nights sleep in a long time, bed comfortable & great amenities in room. Thank you See you again soon

We only stayed there for one night and we stayed there because it's close to the airport. The hotel and room were nice and clean, the bed was quite comfortable - no complaints :). The service at the restaurant was quite slow, but the food was good once it arrived.

Booked this hotel as my regular hotel was too expensive (and had gone downhill) and this one had good reviews - I can see why! What a lovely place in a quiet location. It was all really nicely decorated, and the food was excellent. The only minor complaint - no cereal option for breakfast (apart from granola and Greek yogurt).

Fab hotel with plenty of on-site parking and lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for you to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The bar man even opened up the bar for us to have a nightcap after hours. The breakfast was amazing with a great choice on offer and so tasty. Both the daytime food menu and drinks menu were quite comprehensive in their offerings (although we didn’t eat here as we were at a wedding) and there was ample places to sit and relax including a lovely outside beer garden. The room was super clean and had everything you would need; tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, there was even a proper coffee machine if that took your fancy. The TV had a variety of channels available inc Netflix. The bathroom was a good size with a beautiful walk in shower and free toiletries. In fact I couldn’t fault this hotel at all and would definitely stay here again and without hesitation recommend to anyone who was staying in the area.
