Right on main road and close to Bournemouth which was our main destination..The hotel was clean and staff were friendly..room clean as was bathroom.Breakfast on first morning was good and dinner was resonable. Place was hosting a wedding and very busy so breakfast on second morning was a little chaotic but ok. Room had glasz doors which opened out on to grass and woodland area with picnic tables. Unfortunate to hv a barking dog in room next door on first night. Staff friendliest made up for it

It was a lovely hotel and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food choices were excellent. My only complaint is that the wifi was poor and at times non-existent.

This is the fourth time my husband, dog and myself have stayed at this hotel. We have always found the staff welcoming and level of cleanliness good. This stay was for 3 nights and we ate breakfast and evening meals for our entire stay. The food has previously been hit and miss but this time it was of excellent standard with a new menu and I assume a new chef. Very dog friendly but wise to let them know before turning up. We will return next year for our annual Autumn New Forest adventures. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The thumping base from the party they were hosting went on until very late and meant we couldn’t get any sleep. Everything else was fine but what’s the point of a hotel room you can’t sleep in. I will never stay here again.

Nobody on reception when arrived after a long journey had to go & find somebody then told to wait. Room was dirty bed un made mirror disgusting dirty bathroom. Staff did as much as they could to rectify. No heating in friends room & bathroom not clean. Breakfast wasn’t bad

Booked 3 rooms , 2 were average, Room 5 had damp with Beatles evident ( photos available) Bar had little choice of beers due to broken chiller ,many spirits also not aavailable, breakfast experience very poor as well,many ingredients not available,all in all not a great stay. The hotel website does not show that it is on a dual carriageway. The room was not clean to a good standard and furniture was tatty. This is not a hotel but a motel and this is misleading. It is a pub with rooms and food and bar represent same. Will not stay again

Staff were lovely, booking and waiting at breakfast. Sadly the room faced the front, which was very noisy with the traffic, the window seals and surrounds were filthy with black mould. However the bathroom Was lovely think it probably had a recent refit.... if you book definitely ensure you have a room at the back to avoid the traffic

Room was quite large, quiet and had everything you need including plenty of plugs! We had evening meal which was very good, service was friendly and efficient as was breakfast the next morning. Check-in and out very easy, plenty of parking, staff all great.

Bed was comfortable, large room and bathroom, very clean throughout the hotel. Breakfast was varied and well cooked. Service was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Gardens extensive. No local amenities that I was aware of. Sort of place ideal if just passing through, having a reception or making use of the bar/restaurant.

Very easy to check in, the room was very clean & tidy. The evening meal was well presented & tasted very nice. The full English breakfast I had was again nice & very filling. There was a good choice of Continental breakfast if you didn’t want the full English. The staff very polite. The whole hotel was very clean & well looked after. I would stay here again.

The room and general decor was a little tired. Bed and bathroom both excellent, other bedroom furniture needs updating. Excellent dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, but again the furniture in the restaurant / bar a little tired. Overall a comfortable stay and the price was fair. Great staff in restaurant and bar.

I am disabled and the room allocated for disability is really nice which ones exception the beds are nearly on the floor ! So they need to offer higher beds for those with conditions like mine So beware otherwise it’s almost impossible to get out of the bed. Even wheelchair users can use higher beds than those . Ask for extra mattress to raise height

Very friendly staff at St Leonards and every part of my stay was so easy. Food prepared and served quickly and the room was very clean. Only downside was if you have a room at the front of the hotel it becomes very noisy at night as the hotel is right on the A31.

A warm welcome when we booked in. When going to our room there was four uneven stairs which could easily throw you off balance. Room looked good on entry with views over garden. Bathroom- there was NO hot water . This was reported to the staff. And somehow when we went to the room again the hot water was there!!! Food was acceptable. The evening meal - I ordered the risotto. When it came the rice was NOT COOKED, so I sent it back! I had in its place the hunters chicken which was lovely. The breakfast the next morning I ordered scrambled egg and smoked salmon. The bread was an inch thick!! The smoked salmon was put on top Of that and the scrambled egg on top of that? I’m sorry to say but it was like eating poached salmon and then the bread became soggy! There was not enough light in the room for Putting makeup on and also the heating didn’t come on in the morning when getting up and it was cold with NO HOT WATER!

The staff were incredibly friendly and kind when I felt unwell. I was amazed the following morning when they recognised me and asked how I was. Rooms beautifully clean, food excellent.

Good location and a decent property. Barring the senior lady receptionist ( who was unhelpful and rude ) at the check in, all the rest of the staff were wonderful helpful and very professional.

The room was nice and quiet, but the food was awful. It was not as advertised and did not tast nice. We ended up leaving dinner pretty much untouched. The travel iron supplied to each room do not work and considering the hotel is also used as a wedding venue, we were shocked they didn't have a normal iron to borrow. When we arrived we waiting about 10/15 minutes before anyone was free to check us in.

When we arrived the day before the room tea/coffee/milk/sugar hadn’t been fully replenished I don’t think as only enough for a couple of drinks and 1 biscuit to share. In the morning I popped to reception to ask for a few more milks and sugar so we could have some tea and coffee before checkout and the receptionist was really quite rude. I asked for sugar and milk and she said “housekeeping will do that” is quite a short manner. I said that would be lovely for the next guests but we would like some hot drinks before leaving so she said “oh, so you want me to do that right now?” I felt like saying, if the room had of been set up correctly in the 1st place then I would have already had milk and sugar but I didn’t and said yes please, if not too much trouble. She huffily went off and I waited for about 10 mins and she hasn’t returned so went back to the room to see if some had appeared as she took my room number but none had. So I waited 5 mins and went back and I think a boss was with her as she totally lied and said I had disappeared. The receptionist on Saturday when we checked in was a really lovely girl so it was just the Sunday morning receptionist which spoilt the experience.

She huffily went off and I waited for about 10 mins and she hasn’t returned so went back to the room to see if some had appeared as she took my room number but none had. So I waited 5 mins and went back and I think a boss was with her as she totally lied and said I had disappeared. The receptionist on Saturday when we checked in was a really lovely girl so it was just the Sunday morning receptionist which spoilt the experience.

Right on main road and close to Bournemouth which was our main destination..The hotel was clean and staff were friendly..room clean as was bathroom.Breakfast on first morning was good and dinner was resonable. Place was hosting a wedding and very busy so breakfast on second morning was a little chaotic but ok. Room had glasz doors which opened out on to grass and woodland area with picnic tables. Unfortunate to hv a barking dog in room next door on first night. Staff friendliest made up for it

Very friendly staff at St Leonards and every part of my stay was so easy. Food prepared and served quickly and the room was very clean. Only downside was if you have a room at the front of the hotel it becomes very noisy at night as the hotel is right on the A31.

Bed was comfortable, large room and bathroom, very clean throughout the hotel. Breakfast was varied and well cooked. Service was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Gardens extensive. No local amenities that I was aware of. Sort of place ideal if just passing through, having a reception or making use of the bar/restaurant.

Large room and newly refurbished bathroom. Unfortunately it is possible to hear almost everything going on in other rooms and the common areas. Easy free parking and good location to reach the New Forest. I would stay here again

The staff were incredibly friendly and kind when I felt unwell. I was amazed the following morning when they recognised me and asked how I was. Rooms beautifully clean, food excellent.

The room was nice and quiet, but the food was awful. It was not as advertised and did not tast nice. We ended up leaving dinner pretty much untouched. The travel iron supplied to each room do not work and considering the hotel is also used as a wedding venue, we were shocked they didn't have a normal iron to borrow. When we arrived we waiting about 10/15 minutes before anyone was free to check us in.

Thankfully the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had a great nights sleep! However, when I went for my evening meal at my pre-booked time, I went to the bar to order a drink. I asked if I needed to order food at the bar but was told they’d come and take my order at the table. I was also told that there was a 45 minute wait for food. I said I was fine with this but 25 minutes had passed and no one came to take my order. As a solo traveller I was also confused as to why I’d been seated amongst a large family group of 15. I eventually gave up waiting for my order to be taken and decided I wasn’t comfortable been sat smack bang in the middle of a large group who were interacting with each other from table to table but with me sat right in the middle. I felt very awkward so I paid for my drink and drove down the road to a different restaurant.

Booked 3 rooms , 2 were average, Room 5 had damp with Beatles evident ( photos available) Bar had little choice of beers due to broken chiller ,many spirits also not aavailable, breakfast experience very poor as well,many ingredients not available,all in all not a great stay. Awaiting feed back from management.

A warm welcome when we booked in. When going to our room there was four uneven stairs which could easily throw you off balance. Room looked good on entry with views over garden. Bathroom- there was NO hot water . This was reported to the staff. And somehow when we went to the room again the hot water was there!!! Food was acceptable. The evening meal - I ordered the risotto. When it came the rice was NOT COOKED, so I sent it back! I had in its place the hunters chicken which was lovely. The breakfast the next morning I ordered scrambled egg and smoked salmon. The bread was an inch thick!! The smoked salmon was put on top Of that and the scrambled egg on top of that? I’m sorry to say but it was like eating poached salmon and then the bread became soggy! There was not enough light in the room for Putting makeup on and also the heating didn’t come on in the morning when getting up and it was cold with NO HOT WATER!

Very easy to check in, the room was very clean & tidy. The evening meal was well presented & tasted very nice. The full English breakfast I had was again nice & very filling. There was a good choice of Continental breakfast if you didn’t want the full English. The staff very polite. The whole hotel was very clean & well looked after. I would stay here again.

Good Location, comfortable room, building very worn could do with a lick of paint. We booked dinner bed and breakfast dinner menu limited and some of the item where out of stock. When you finally get your food its worth the wait but does take an extremely long time the 3 course dinner will take more than 2hrs to complete but the food they did have was really tasty. They had a wedding on Saturday afternoon into evening when we left on Monday the glasses and empty bottles where still on the tables in the garden area.

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel and we were very disappointed, the staff are helpful however the hotel itself has gone down hill greatly. 1 day room not cleaned, burst radiator and generally run down. Unfortunately we won't stay again.

I won’t be staying here again. I had an issue with later check in, manager was completely unable understand the situation and became quite rude and abrupt. When i did finally get in room was dusty, spiders in the bathroom and the main room. Overall quite a poor vibe. It’s a shame because location wise it’s very convenient

Discussed by the ROOMS I was given , ants everywhere, mould and the third room was dirty cobwebs insects by this time it was 1am in the morning . A member of staff ( night manager) told me its summer MADAM there are ants . I wouldn't stay there again.
