It was ok, but a little tired.Guess what you expect from an old coaching inn, but with a few tweaks it could be so much better. Maybe time for a refit.Staff good though and all very friendly .Luckily we know the area as on our 2 nd day the car park was full, we managed to park in an adjacent car park until such time there was a free space near the hotel later in the evening.

Nice old hotel. Comfortable and most importantly quiet bedroom, we were at a reception in the back room, nice buffet supplied, reception room was a little cold so moved into the bar with old friends which was more comfortable. Nice historical buildings pleasant staff, would defiantly stay again.

There was a Michael Jackson tribute band performing which went on till midnight. From the billboard outside there are frequent such performances from different bands. The thump of the base went on and on which made sleep impossible until it ended. Room was clean but basic as was the food. Would not book another stay at this venue

A historic pub with great food in the heart of Stony Stratford. Great breakfast was included and cooked for you rather than on the buffet. Our room was generous in size and clean and comfortable

Visiting Silverstone for the Lap of Lights and chose to stay here as we had used the hotel in the past. Big old building in the centre of Stoney Stratford. Our room was a little tired and had thin walls. Don't for get your ear plugs! The Bar was comfortable and atmospheric with friendly efficient staff and the food delicious and well prepared. Good selection at breakfast and again very friendly staff. Good sized carpark but appears to be used by all and sundry. Spaces limited.

I’ve used this place a few times, upgraded room which was OK, they’re nothing fancy, clean and warm but the town is nice away from the busy central MK. Food is awful apart from the breakfast, staff are nice. Free parking.

My room was over an entrance to the carpark so the room was very cold. The radiator never really got particularly hot even with the valve fully open. I asked at reception if I could have a portable heater and was told they didn't have any. Hard to believe in a building of this size. I feel it was more that she couldn't be bothered to look for one. At one point I resorted to using the hairdryer to warm the room!! Room was dirty, dust, cobwebs, and spiders everywhere. Decor tired. Old wooden sash windows all latches broken, paint peeling, wallpaper peeling. Every electrical appliance PAT testing out of date, some by almost 3 years! The cold tap in the bathroom has to run on full bore for 4 minutes before it gets warm. What a waste! Restaurant food acceptable but nothing special. Cutlery dirty, dried food on plates, and coffee stains in cups. No bottled water in the room, but £3 for a 300ml bottle in the bar! Good points: Breakfast excellent. Free Parking. Nice old building full of character. Bed comfy. Not much else.

Lovely room, nice and quiet and bed & pillows were so comfortable. My only criticism was there is dust all over the windows/windowsill and toilet could do with a bleach. Bar service very slow, could benefit from 2 members of staff. Breakfast lovely

Delapedated old building with the most disgusting shower. Black hair on the shower wall and in the shower tray. Grubby towels etc. However the staff were excellent and so helpful. Obviously there is a problem with the cleaning staff not front of house.

Staff were lovely and extremely friendly and accommodating. I stayed in room 23 ground floor there were on initial impression tears and pulls in the curtains on the double doors and on entering the room, it had a damp fusty smell which worsened in the bathroom – when using the sink the water rose and didn’t flow continuously down the plug hole so potentially some sort of plumbing/blockage issue. The shower curtain on the inside had dirt splash marks from previous guests and I feel a new net curtain or better attention to detail is needed in this area. Food is your average pub food. The bar area is lovely clean and with a great atmosphere Overall I enjoyed my stay however I feel the rooms need some attention/updating

Good clean hotel ideally located in the centre of Stony Stratford. All staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. I was only there for one night and didn’t have dinner there but everything was good. Check in and out was simple.

My room was at the too if the hotel… so lots of stairs. But the room was nice, could do with a little TLC. I did find the air freshener a bit overpowering. I could not the shower on hot??? Might be my fault??? The bed was comfortable and I did have a good nights sleep.

Contact receptionist by telephone non existing! Rooms not serviced daily even on request. Breakfast expect long wait and when finally arrived cold mushrooms every day consistently! Same with evening meal long wait! Not the best chef!steak undercooked! Strongly recommend avoid.

Great location but basic and had to wear earplugs as had road facing room. Don’t book if you require a receipt. I’ve tried several times and can’t get anything from them and feel like I’m getting ignored. That’s me out of business expense pocket and will use an alternative hotel in town because it is a great spot to stay.

Very old pub, could do with some modernisation. I know it has small windows but the lights in the room were really dim. Just looking a bit tired. Food was lovely although service slow - only 1 person really waiting at breakfast with a large number of guests - she did a good job though.

Great location on the high street in Stony Stratford. Arrived early and received Avery warm welcome and the opportunity to store our bags. Enjoyed a browse in the shops, lunch and a riverside walk before checking in. Everything is close by. Our room was very comfortable and larger than expected. All staff in the hotel bar were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. A great experience.

In the area to attend an event at the MKBowl. So we're arriving early and then back at hotel late. Hotel (Christine) was very good in allowing us to collect our keys. Christine was very good in explaining procedure as well as checking us in etc. WiFi and parking was good, and breakfast was excellent.

Extremely comfortable room and bed. Food quality excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. Stony Stratford a lovely village with plenty of shops and history. Convenient for Bletchley Park and surrounding area. Would certainly visit again.

We arrived on the No. 6 bus from Central Milton Keynes. But I noticed an extenive back car park. Really did not take the use of the restaurant du to travel leg from Turkey. Really, If we had the opportunity to taste the delicacies that it provides. I hope next time.

We arrived on the No. 6 bus from Central Milton Keynes. But I noticed an extenive back car park. Really did not take the use of the restaurant du to travel leg from Turkey. Really, If we had the opportunity to taste the delicacies that it provides. I hope next time.

Visiting Silverstone for the Lap of Lights and chose to stay here as we had used the hotel in the past. Big old building in the centre of Stoney Stratford. Our room was a little tired and had thin walls. Don't for get your ear plugs! The Bar was comfortable and atmospheric with friendly efficient staff and the food delicious and well prepared. Good selection at breakfast and again very friendly staff. Good sized carpark but appears to be used by all and sundry. Spaces limited.

Great location on the high street in Stony Stratford. Arrived early and received Avery warm welcome and the opportunity to store our bags. Enjoyed a browse in the shops, lunch and a riverside walk before checking in. Everything is close by. Our room was very comfortable and larger than expected. All staff in the hotel bar were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. A great experience.

Good clean hotel ideally located in the centre of Stony Stratford. All staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. I was only there for one night and didn’t have dinner there but everything was good. Check in and out was simple.

Contact receptionist by telephone non existing! Rooms not serviced daily even on request. Breakfast expect long wait and when finally arrived cold mushrooms every day consistently! Same with evening meal long wait! Not the best chef!steak undercooked! Strongly recommend avoid.

The location is good in a very nice village setting. The single room was a good size and comfortable. The bar and restaurant staff weren't the most attentive nor that knowledgeable. I tried the nachos but they came cold and the coffee at breakfast was also only luke warm.

I’ve used this place a few times, upgraded room which was OK, they’re nothing fancy, clean and warm but the town is nice away from the busy central MK. Food is awful apart from the breakfast, staff are nice. Free parking.

Its a lovely old coaching inn and although decor a bit tired in places, and some modernisation would be welcome in the bathroom in particular it is still beautifully reminiscent of an old inn with lovely old furniture. Rooms could also benefit from at least 1 USB port cos i can't be the only person to forget a plug for my charger cable 🙃 though the people are so helpful they could have lent me one 😀 We were there for a party in the lovely back room, I would definitely consider it as a venue in the future. I would also definitely stay again. Dog friendly, quite level throughout with good disabled access and facilities, delicious food - we had a Sunday roast - and lovely friendly and helpful staff. One of the best Greene King places I have ever experienced.

Excellent value for money and a large double room was big and airy. Eat in the restaurant for steak night, but breakfast was too late for my need to be at Silverstone early. Staff were friendly, but kitchen staff smoking in the side passage was a little off putting. I’d book again when events repeat next year.

Lovely old hotel in a sweet little town. The staff were so friendly and the restaurant was great! Beds could have been a bit more comfy but overall we had a great experience.

Obviously a popular place. Very busy and noisy. Hallway up to room smelt of chip oil. Room was nicely decorated and clean.

We had a room in the main part of the hotel (Room 5), above parts of the bar and overlooking the courtyard. It's a very tired room, with various bits and pieces coming apart, especially in the bathroom. The whole of the bath panel is coming away from the bath itself. There's numerous areas where the paint has long gioven up trying to stay on the walls & woodwork. The bed itself is way overdue for a mattress change, and the whole room really is very dated & tired. I know it's an old building, but it's well past the time some money was spent on the facilities and rooms. Not a place I would consider re-visiting.
