A lovely house, very peaceful, dark skies at night were great for stargazing. Hot tub was fantastic, tennis court lovely and the gardens great for our kids to run about. Lisa is a fantastic host and went above and beyond for us. We will be back!

The Retreat cottage is gorgeous. We really enjoyed our family reunion there. Its beautifully decorated, spacious, lovely views & close to an amazing farm shop, restaurants & great day outings. Evening hot tub a definite bonus. Would highly recommend. Our host, Lisa, was great - very attentive & had excellent recommendations for local sights & things to do. We'll book again.

Peaceful location with breath-taking views , 2 good size bedrooms, 2 bathrooms , good size secure garden area, well equipment kitchen with an outhouse laundry area. Log fired hot tub adding to the idyllic ambience. Friendly hosts, nothing not to love.

Fantastische Unterkunft und sehr nette Vermieter. Idealer Ort, um Ruhe zu genießen und Ausflüge zu unternehmen (Edingburgh, Glasgow, Fife, Highlands usw). Sehr gute Ausstattung der gemütlichen und großen Unterkunft und als Highlight der private Whirlpool mit traumhaftem Blick und der Tennisplatz. Nette persönliche Begrüßung durch den Vermieter inklusive Williommensgeschenk.

This is our 4th trip to The Retreat and we have had another excellent stay at this wonderful property. The cottage is immaculate and well stocked with everything you could need for your stay. The kids loved playing in the garden and the hot tub. The hosts are welcoming and communication with them was easy and straightforward. Can't wait to return!

Communication with host prior to arrival was so easy. We managed to get an early check in and we were in love with the property Instantly. Beautiful location and the property was immaculate. We had some issues lighting the fire for the hot tub but Jamie, bless him was on hand and was a diamond. Watching the stars whilst in the hot tub was the type of relaxation we were needing. The beds were so comfortable and our 2 year old loved all the toys and running about (not to mention watching the Deer from the window). Our only gripe was that the robes weren’t for the larger variety of person… Regardless of that, we will definitely be back!

Wir haben in diesem Sommer zwei Wochen in diesem Ferienhaus verbracht. Es war traumhaft. Von der Buchung bis zu unser Rückkehr nach Hause hat einfach alles gestimmt. Begrüßt wurden wir mit einer Flasche Sekt, frischem Gemüse und Salat und einem komplett vorbereiteten Hot-Tube. Die Vermieter haben uns während des Aufenthalts immer wieder kontaktiert und nach Wünschen etc. gefragt. Alle Anliegen wurden zeitnah und herzlich beantwortet. Das Haus ist riesig und für vier Personen mehr als ausreichend. Es ist sehr sauber, überall gab es frische Blumen. Wir würden dieses Ferienhaus immer wieder besuchen.

Can all of the positive reviews really be accurate? Yes! This is a magical place. Jamie's communication was outstanding. The cottage is comfortable and well appointed. Among our favorite stops were: Gloagburn Farm Shop, Drive up A9 to Aviemore, Dinner at Cairn Lodge, and for me - a day in St. Andrews.

Jamie and Lisa are lovely hosts and prepared the place with so much love and details and even cold welcome treats - thanks a lot! The place itself is great, the view gorgeous and it has lots of kitchen equipment. We really enjoyed our vacation.

When we arrived, we were greeted with our host and his daughter who gave us a little tour of the property and helped us get settled in. We were pretty tired from trip over from the States so it was perfect for catching up rest before we ventured out. We loved all the wildlife that wandered around the property.... deer, bunnies and lots of beautiful birds. Our host, Jamie kept in constant touch to check on us and give us tips of where to go for day trips. We were very comfortable staying there and appreciated all the little personal touches. We would definitely come back!

The house is exactly as pictured but they don’t do it justice. From the moment we opened the door it was nothing short of a perfect 4 days. Jamie and Lisa are welcoming and ensure everything is thought of. The only part of the stay that was a bummer was having to leave.

Our only gripe was that the robes weren’t for the larger variety of person… Regardless of that, we will definitely be back!

Wir haben in diesem Sommer zwei Wochen in diesem Ferienhaus verbracht. Es war traumhaft. Von der Buchung bis zu unser Rückkehr nach Hause hat einfach alles gestimmt. Begrüßt wurden wir mit einer Flasche Sekt, frischem Gemüse und Salat und einem komplett vorbereiteten Hot-Tube. Die Vermieter haben uns während des Aufenthalts immer wieder kontaktiert und nach Wünschen etc. gefragt. Alle Anliegen wurden zeitnah und herzlich beantwortet. Das Haus ist riesig und für vier Personen mehr als ausreichend. Es ist sehr sauber, überall gab es frische Blumen. Wir würden dieses Ferienhaus immer wieder besuchen.

Can all of the positive reviews really be accurate? Yes! This is a magical place. Jamie's communication was outstanding. The cottage is comfortable and well appointed. Among our favorite stops were: Gloagburn Farm Shop, Drive up A9 to Aviemore, Dinner at Cairn Lodge, and for me - a day in St. Andrews.

Beautiful area with fantastic views.The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Jamie, the property manager was exceptionally helpful and friendly and a pleasure to meet and spend some time with.We loved our time at the cottage and will return when possible.

We’ve just had a lovely week staying here- such a gorgeous, cosy and comfortable cottage with no neighbours!! Lovely spot for exploring from the doorstep. Very generous and caring host- the property was immaculate. Loved it.

My wife and I absolutely loved everything about the retreat! Prefect, quite setting. Jamie was a great host. Day trips from the retreat to St. Andrews, etc. were wonderful and restaurants in the area excellent - especially Corrie Inn and Delivino. We HIGHLY recommend the retreat!

We were very happy to have found such a nice place. We had no problems with anything at all, and Lisa the owner rang me to see how we were getting on. The location was ideal for our intended activities .

Beautifully furnished cottage with stunning views. So relaxing and the perfect place to unwind and spend quality time with friends and family. Hot tub set in lovely completely private gardens that are well kept. The hosts are very hospitable and friendly, adding lots of small touches which makes The Retreat so special. Our party was made up of myself and three older children aged 16 to 19 and we all thought it was the nicest place we've stayed in.

Jamie and Lisa are lovely hosts and prepared the place with so much love and details and even cold welcome treats - thanks a lot! The place itself is great, the view gorgeous and it has lots of kitchen equipment. We really enjoyed our vacation.

The Retreat cottage is gorgeous. We really enjoyed our family reunion there. Its beautifully decorated, spacious, lovely views & close to an amazing farm shop, restaurants & great day outings. Evening hot tub a definite bonus. Would highly recommend. Our host, Lisa, was great - very attentive & had excellent recommendations for local sights & things to do. We'll book again.

Ein wunderschönes Haus und nette Gastgeber. Für das erste Frühstück war schon gesorgt, Brot, Butter und Eier lagen bereit.Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und dekoriert, überall frische Blumen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

The lodge is picture perfect and hosts are very helpful & welcome pack was very kind. Views are stunning. Hot tub is good fun. Can take about 3 hours to get hot enough with the fire but so worth it. Plenty of logs for hot tub & fire. Would definitely recommend a visit.
