We had a really good one night stay in this hotel. A very welcoming and dog friendly hotel. They supply jugs of water and bowls in the reception are for your dog and supply you with a comfortable dog bed. The venue was extremely clean, the staff were very welcoming and there was live music in the bar area in the evening. The food was good pub grub . We would def stay again if we needed too

Lovely old hotel, very close to the station, so perfect for us to nip in and out of Brighton and Hove They have no parking, so you have to park in a nearby Pay & Display The bar is popular in the evening, and could get quite loud

A lovely hotel, that goes all-in with the railway theme. Although it is a pub-hotel, it has been recently refurbished, with all-electronic access, so nobody can get to the bedroom area unless they are staying there. Half-price food in the pub on Mondays was a pleasant surprise, and the friendly - if slightly quirky - staff were a joy to interact with. The room was comfortable, and the family room we stayed in had a separate bunk-bed area for the child, each bunk having its own light. Parking-wise, you can choose from the station car park, a one-minute walk away, or the free on-street parking on the station one-way system (Only free between 6pm and 9am) I would absolutely stay here again!

Very convenient obviously for the station buy also only a short walk of 15/20 minutes into town. Rooms very comfortable staff helpful and polite can leave luggage safely there before checking in or after checking out too . Pub onsite had great breakfast and dinner menu

Room was very nice (just been refurbished) good bathroom excellent shower. Breakfast very good location is good (especially if you are using train)..... I only have one issue parking you have to pay .. Approx £10 for 24hrs.........in council car park down the road.......

This hotel was wonderful. The pub attached was perfect and the food was delicious! All staff was very helpful and friendly. I am a wheelchair user and booked a disability room. It was PERFECT! I highly recommend this hotel.

A lovely quaint pub/inn. Customer Service was very good. We decided to eat in the pub and stay around for quiz night. Food was typical but good and the quiz night experience fun. Parking was convenient at the end of the block.

I really liked the decor It managed to be modern but also heritage in style with lovely, calming colours of green and pink etc. Nice toiletries in bathroom Staff were helpful. Food was pub style but good quality and the kitchen is open from early morning to late 21:00. My only negative was that my internet connection dropped out frequently about every 10 mins on their internet (not sure if it's a dead area problem as I was on the second floor and it worked OK in the bar). I spoke to a member of staff who said they would lol at it but it persisted during my stay. You check in at the bar-I knew there wasn't a check in desk but there is a specific area in the bar to check in at-a bit more info. on this pre-arrival would be useful. I was leaving in the early hours so I was a bit worried about getting out of the building but there is a security guard overnight so it was no problem. The rooms are secured both entering and leaving the room areas by a key card which was reassuring as a single traveller. There is one door for access overnight after the bar shuts so make sure you locate it (you can phone security if there are any issues). Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay but the only thing I would say is that the television reception was quite poor. The pixelated screen made it impossible to watch some of the stations. Maybe improve the Ariel - though I realise it is a built up area!

Excellent stay from start to finish, busy pub but we were greeted very quickly by staff at the check in desk. Very friendly staff too from start to finish. The hotel itself was pretty much spot on, ideally located next to the station. A clean, quiet comfortable room and freshly renovated to a good standard. The food served was beautiful and half price Monday was brilliant. The breakfast in my opinion needs to be served a little earlier to accommodate early workers. The only place this hotel let itself down was how loose some of the staff were. Their work place seemed an extension of their social life and it manifested as they weren’t all that interested in serving customers. One male member of staff with a beard was quite rude with regards to a request for a receipt whilst showing off to the locals, and could probably do with some extra training within the people skills area of hospitality.

Lovely room, AWFUL staff & food service - ordered haddock risotto, got a lump of cod on pasta, ordered King prawn on Linguine - tiny prawns on a bit of Penne pasta, verity rude staff - shouted at when tried to book a table, although paid for had to go elsewhere for breakfast - DISAPPOINTING - otherwise, such a lovely town

We arrived late, having been let down by a previous booking. The staff were all so welcoming and helpful. They promptly got us to our rooms accommodating my elderly father beautifully. The rooms are lovely, newly updated and gorgeously designed. The drinks were delicious, breakfast stunning and the team led by Shay were warm, incredibly helpful and just a delight to chat to.

This is a very well kept, boutique type hotel. I would definitely return. It’s a 20 minute walk to the water where there is many good restaurants and pubs. We came by train so very convenient and easy to find!

Room was very nice (just been refurbished) good bathroom excellent shower. Breakfast very good location is good (especially if you are using train)..... I only have one issue parking you have to pay .. Approx £10 for 24hrs.........in council car park down the road.......

The location was perfect right next to the station but still close enough to head down to the sea front. The room was lovely and clean, beds were super comfy and the breakfast was delicious.

A lovely quaint pub/inn. Customer Service was very good. We decided to eat in the pub and stay around for quiz night. Food was typical but good and the quiz night experience fun. Parking was convenient at the end of the block.

Lovely Place and Perfect location for our needs. Can tell a lot of work has been put in to updating the place. Check in was nice and quick. Staff member was helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. Same occurred when we required use of the iron. Little bits of wear and tear in the room but overall a nice and comfortable experience. Rainfall shower was especially nice. Nice bar and outdoor seating area should you require it. Also discount on food if you needed it however, we didn’t have a chance to experience either of these in the evening due to plans. Breakfast was ok. Choice was good however, for some reason one breakfast was brought out before the other despite us both having the same order. So it was either eat alone or eat it cold as we waited another 5 minutes for the second breakfast which seemed very bizarre. Staff were pleasant about it just seemed as if it had been misread and not seen the x2 and that could have just been explained instead just it’s coming soon. Just a small issue but overall a nice stay.

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in over the last couple of years. Old inn but lovely refurbishment to a high standard. Breakfast was amazing and we took advantage of the dinner too. Very quiet rooms. My son loved his bunk bed and having his own space/light. We’d definitely stay again. If you are travelling by train literally metres from the station.

Bedroom and bathroom were clean and felt recently refurbished. Staff were all friendly. On line "check-in" made arrival very easy. On a Monday evening, restaurant serves half price meals which were very good. Only slight problem was that my wife had difficulty completely turning off the shower tap.

Lovely room, AWFUL staff & food service - ordered haddock risotto, got a lump of cod on pasta, ordered King prawn on Linguine - tiny prawns on a bit of Penne pasta, verity rude staff - shouted at when tried to book a table, although paid for had to go elsewhere for breakfast - DISAPPOINTING - otherwise, such a lovely town

The hotel has been refurbished very well and is very clean. We were going to Goodwood and could have had breakfast a little earlier but there wasn't that option. Also, there was no decafe tea which was disappointing. Otherwise, a lovely stay.

Everyone was super helpful and friendly, from the bar staff, to the front desk, to the waitstaff in the restaurant. The room itself was comfy and the bathroom was lovely and had everything I needed. The location was the best part! You walk out of the station and it's right there in front of you, no searching required. Would definitely come back!

I knew from my first viewing of the Railway Hotel online that it would be the place for us, and I was not disappointed. The handsome building has had a high quality, sympathetic refurb but it combines a modern sensibility while retaining and enhancing the beautiful original features. Our room (in the 'turret') was comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfast was wonderful and all staff we encountered were friendly. My only suggestions for improvement are: check your emails via the Hotel.com portal more often ( I asked twice if an early check in was possible but received no reply); a mini fridge under the desk would be wonderful for this hot summer and would enable a decent amount of milk to be left for tea and coffee; a thinner duvet for this weather. None of these things detracted from our stay, which was wonderful, they would just be added extras. The location is brilliant - we planned to get the train into Brighton to avoid the stress of parking (and to enjoy the bars) and that was so easy - even though it was Pride weekend. Ideal for exploring this part of the south coast An easy walk into the town centre/beach and pier too. Worthing appears to have a lot to offer ( art deco cinema and pier restaurant, great wine bars, cafes galore plus all the usual seaside attributes, plus in striking distance of the south downs, wineries and more). We'd definitely return and we know where to stay! ( The parking recommendation was helpful too and only 1 min away. ) Highly recommended
