Ramada by Wyndham East Orange

Spend the extra $20 and stay somewhere else. Just No.....it was funny because the front desk guy told another guest that the water might not be safe to drink. The "breakfast" area was completely devoid of not only breakfast.....but furniture and equipment. The only positive I had was that my car wasnt broken into that night.

It was OK… a little out of the way, but it IS in East Orange. The HVAC was a little inadequate, and the hotel doesn’t have enough parking space for all of the guest rooms. But it was comfortable enough - not swank, but serviceable.

There wasn’t anything I liked about this property. There was litter everywhere. The online description said that breakfast was included but there was none. I was looking for the ice machine but the only one I could find was out of order. The attendant behind the counter advised me there was no other machine on the premises. This was the most horrible motel experience ever!

Only one elevator was working. Gym was not function Breakfast was not appealing at all. Facility is very old and smells

Awful hotel, dirty with stains all over the carpet and strong smells in rooms and corridors. Service was poor and to top it all off there was a dead mouse next to my bed in the morning. Told the manager who shrugged and said they would move it.

Incredibly outdated hotel. Very dirty, it seemed as though only the sheets were clean in the rooms. No hot water and a poorly played out bathroom with door that didn't shut all the way. Breakfast was supposed to be included, only to find that it was stopped because of COVID in 2020 despite the website not being update. Parking lot was also covered in glass shards.

Smelled horrid. Sheets, towels & blankets dirty upon arrival. Went down to the concierge and there were no extra blankets or pillows. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Place is bedbug infested bugs was all over me had to leave at 2am and when I told staff at checkout he said oh like he know all ready and wanted to give me another room no thank you .do not stay there bedbugs bedbugs bedbugs.

The rooms in the hotel are in terrible shape. We saw bedbugs on one of our beds and blood stains on the bedsheets. The shower was all rusted and didn't work well at all. The bathroom had no soap for hand washing, and the facial tissue box was empty.

Rats running around in the room found a condoms on the bed under the sheets cover hallway dirty and smelled

This is the worst hotel I have ever seen! Roaches everywhere, trash can overflowing in hallway, sheets dirty, and has a terrible odor. I walked down to management to get some Lysol spray for the room. Drove to family dollar for some roach spray. Please do not stay here!!!!!!

Stayed for one night to go to a concert in Newark. The hotel staff wasn’t very friendly and the place is a bit run down. Wouldn’t recommend more than 1 night stay. We were not served hot breakfast, we were given to-go breakfast.

The entire facility needs renovation. Plexiglass barrier at front desk was the start. No breakfast available. One elevator down. The 7th floor and room smelled of stale smoke and bad air freshener. There were holes in the carpet. In the room: mirror hung at a tilt. Shower curtain rod was nearly off the wall. Curtain over window was partially pulled off its track. Light fixture between beds had a broken panel. Clothes hanging rod almost broken off

Lot of issues with the room. Limited hot water supply. Room is always sticky, and noisy. Flush wasn't working. Terrible experience.

Great customer service

I reserved a room and they had my guest as the main occupant. My guest didn't pay a thing but She was the check in They didn't even change the mistake and I had to rent another room with my name..* Hate Ramada for that.

Elevator doors jammed open with shopping carts, floor so filthy shoes stuck. Broken sink caulked in repair attempt. NO outlets working bedside, the only outlet working had the TV in it. A dump unworthy of being called hotel, this place should be removed from any booking app. … it’s not even cheap! Incredibly rude front desk who turned off the mic and walked away. I’ve stayed in bad hotels, this is the new low.

The staff unlawfully terminated my stay because of low rates for double and refusal for policy regarding the responsibility of the guest to return cart to downstairs instead of the side of the hallway. Because, I complained the facility is infested with roaches and poor maintenance of the facilities, l was asked to leave on Sunday instead of Monday, July 15, 2025. The Expedia due diligently put me in Double Tree by Hilton Newark PENN . I recorded the previous stay and showed the front desk to copy the video. He refused instead he asked me to contact the manager in the morning that they are aware of the issues on the picture. That the manager does want to inform about the hotel maintenance issue. I left my telephone number this afternoon to have the manager reached out to me. I am disabled and was inconvenient with pain to repackage my items. All the work I had been working on has to stop because, I was confused and didn’t know how to proceed until I contacted the Expedia. They assured me that the will find another hotel for me. They also contacted the hotel. I can’t thank the Expedia staff for quick response and ensure that I be relocated to another hotel. I got the best . I intend to consult with an attorney for next action that is available to me. I was sleeping when the hotel staff arrived knocking on my door. I opened the door only to be advised that it is my responsibility to return the cart downstairs. In fact,I found the cart outside the building. I. requested policy.

Liked the location

Decent price and location, close to EWR. Hotel lobby has terrible smell, parking is well lit but feel unsafe. Non-smoking room still have smoke hint. Feel dirty. Don’t stay here if you travel alone.

This Hotel doesn't represent the Ramada brand. No Breakfast, an overall odor in the entire hotel. The only positive was it is close to the airport.

This property appears to be in a rough side of town. I chose it because I thought it was close to the airport. I was wrong.

The hotel is in a high crime area and we didn’t feel safe. Also, there were roaches and customer service were not helpful especially when I was trying to cancel stay due to the horrible experience.

Reasonably quiet room in a somewhat rough neighborhood. Broken glass in the parking lot. Uninviting reception area.

Even though we booked for non smoking, we were given smoke property and was said that is the only option i have, if not i can leave. Stay out. It is said hot breakfast, but all they did was put a cheez it and muffin packet with a fruit. Stay out !!

Nothing was unique. The web shows a breakfast buffet but there was not one. They had a to go box with Doritos, an orange, a yogurt, a bag of mini muffins and a jar of apple Juice.

The "breakfast" was a container which included an apple juice box, a yogurt w/ no spoon, a packages of mini muffins and an old apple. Since I was there from a cancelled airflight, I had no tooth brush or tooth paste. When I asked, they had none. Also, no tissues in the room.

Property appears to be housing non sheltered people. The free continental breakfast doesn’t exist and apparently was discontinued during COVId four years ago and never restarted. False advertising.

This is not a great place. No amenities. Staff sat behind what was probably bulletproof plastic and barely spoke to us as we arrived and left. Advertised breakfast is a "grab and go box" that included all prepackaged foods (Oreos, little bites, apple juice, and unrefrigerated drinkable yogurt) plus one tiny orange. No soap in the bathroom to wash hands, just one set of very small shampoo and conditioner. Hardly enough if one of the three of us registered for the room needed it. Elevators smelled of marijuana and people were yelling on the halls and banging on doors till 2:30 am. No instructions for finding programs on the television. Beds were ok and towels were clean. Decor and furniture was very dated and shower looked stained. Surprised to see staff member feeding pigeons in the parking lot when we left, attracting a whole flock to fly over guests' cars! Not what I expected for a Ramada by Wyndham.

They had no breakfast like it was listed.
