We had to come to town due to my mom being on hospice so it was so say final goodbyes. Noticed there were only 2 hotels in this little town so went with this one due to the "excellent" reviews. The pics online looked ok but was a bit taken back by the $170 a night cost. I am at a loss for words. Room smelled like dirty feet the whole time we were there. The door going into the room had issues and nearby doors did too so the metal doors did not shut easily within doorframe. Therefore, they were constantly being slammed repeatedly so they would shut by people due to how difficult it was to get the doors to close to rooms. Very old-fashioned room. Reminded me of a very rundown Motel 6 type setting. Blue bedspreads with a red chair with brown curtains. Nothing matched. The two lamps in the room had completely different types of bulbs so one made the shade look White and the other lamp was dark brown and flickered on and off refusing to stay on. I can't say there was anything pleasant about the room. I looked online at the town I am from which is a larger city and for the same price of 170 you can get a very nice one bedroom suite in a newer hotel. What they are doing at this hotel is price gouging cuz they know there are only two hotels in town. Honestly this room was not worth over $60 and it makes me sick how they are charging people so much for such a dump of a room. The breakfast area was very nice and remodeled but probably the only nice part of this place.
