The air conditioning couldn’t be changed and kept going on throughout the night. The room was too cold. When I went to swim they had just closed the pool to clean it. Breakfast was so-so.

When I first arrived, there were two women at the front desk and NEITHER acknowledged my presence. After a few minutes, I finally confronted them. The older woman apologized and said she was counting money on the screen; the younger woman said nothing. Then on my third morning there -- when I had whale watching tickets -- I was in the shower when the water stopped working. I called the front desk, but was placed on hold... and after 5-6 minutes of that, I went downstairs. An Asian man also came to the desk because his wife was in the shower with shampoo in her hair. I was assured I would receive a discount on my bill, but the manager was NEVER available to speak. Then the elevator broke, and I was specially placed in a room near the elevator so I did not have to walk as far. UGH! And I called the hotel, but was transferred to the main Holiday Inn number. After being transferred FIVE TIMES and wasting 20 minutes of my time, I was assured that my complaints would be documented... no word on the promised discount for my inconvenience. I will not stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel many times but this time was very disappointing. They stripped the rooms to the bare minimum and taken out the coffee machine with a note about coffee being available in the lobby.. the coffee is available with breakfast and very bad. The rooms are not cleaned properly. They only seem to make the bed. One time they just folded and put the wet towels on the counter. Disappointing.

Excellent hotel. Room was great and the morning breakfasts were very good. Coffee was very good.

Travel with special needs son needing pool for pt, called before stay to ask if pool was working, affirmative from property. Asked if working upon check in, affirmative from front desk. Pool was filthy have pictures for verification . Front desk came to see pool and said it was cleaned day prior. She said this while seeing the months of grime apparent. Unacceptable especially in this situation. Will contact head office. If staff can’t maintain, hire oool service ir close it down
