Jeg og min kjæreste hadde et fint opphold denne dagen. Vi fikk et veldig flott rom i 6. etasje med bra utsikt. Om kvelden tok vi oss en tur i bassengområde. Det var bra, kunne gjerne tenke meg litt frukt eller noe småkake der. Dessverre hadde hotellet utfordringer med boblebadet. Den var alt for kaldt og kunne ikke nytes. Frokosten kan anbefales, men personalet manglet litt kunnskap.

Jeg og min kjæreste hadde et fint opphold denne dagen. Vi fikk et veldig flott rom i 6. etasje med bra utsikt. Om kvelden tok vi oss en tur i bassengområde. Had a great stay hotel is easy to find and in close proximity to public transport and attractions. Room was very spacious and very clean. Bed was comfortable and linen and towels of good quality. Breakfast was amazing with so much choice. Pool /sauna/and gym was nice .Area was clean . Only down side was we had to book in advance which was not a problem for us . No information was given about having to take towels to the pool with us so we had to nip back up to the room before we entered the pool. Jacuzzi was out of order but that did not spoil our time. Pool area only has 2 loungers and about 6 chairs to use . Near the sauna is a seating area with a padded material cushion that did smell of wet dog when you were down that area of the pool but that might just be my sensitive nose . Overall we had a great weekend and would stay again. All staff we came in to contact with were polite and looked like they enjoyed their job

The hotel has a pool but you have to make a reservation. I my case I had a check in after normal working hours and it was not positive to get access to the pool area as it was already booked. I you rent out hotel rooms with access to a pool and fitness area it should be accessible for everyone.

Breakfast amazing plenty of choice. Pool and sauna lovely. Jacuzzi was out of order during our stay but did not cause us an issue. Location perfect and the room was very quiet. Would recommend.

Hotellets trumfkort är poolen och frukosten. Personalen i receptionen var generellt tillmötesgående, även om jag vid ett par tillfällen upplevde servicen som något reserverad. Själva hotellet är en vanlig Scandic-standard och i mitt tycke ligger det något avsides eftersom man får gå uppför en hyfsat brant backe alternativt en lång trappa för att komma dit. Det första rummet jag blev tilldelad hade fönstren mot hotellets innergård – inget dagsljus. Jag fick be om ett annat rum som hade fin utsikt mot en bakgata och en sjöglimt. Jag bokade detta hotell just för poolen, som är fin, dock är den endast 1 m djup och det kan lätt bli mycket folk. Kom tidigt eller sent. Dessutom är det en märklig rutin med bokning online för att sedan ändå vara tvungen att gå till receptionen för att aktivera access. Handdukar finns inte vid poolen, man får be om det i receptionen (det är inget de aktivt frågar om man vill ha) eller ta med rummets handdukar. Det finns ingen body lotion på rummet och inget hårbalsam i omklädningsrummet vid poolen. Duschrummet är fräscht i sig men skåpen är i metall som har rostat och vattnet portioneras ut en kort stund innan man får fatt på hur rörelsedetektorn fungerar. Betalning för frukost (om det inte ingår i bokningen) måste göras med kort på plats, det går inte att lägga till det på rummet. Det var märkligt tyckte jag.

Vi hadde med to barn 9 og 12 år. Vi reiste nesten tre timer for å komme til hotellet. Da er det veldig dumt at barn bare får bade kl 7-11 og ikke i det hele tatt den dag man sjekker inn. Vi kommer mer enn gjerne tilbake hvis dette blir endret. Tidligere kunne barn bade og om ettermiddagen. Sist ble dog jucuzzi okkupert av en gjeng voksne med noe sterkt i plastflaskene.

Vi hadde med to barn 9 og 12 år. Vi reiste nesten tre timer for å komme til hotellet. Da er det veldig dumt at barn bare får bade kl 7-11 og ikke i det hele tatt den dag man sjekker inn. Meldte om hund med, fikk et handicap rom uten vindu som var kjempe varmt. Rommet var i tillegg skittent på badet. Treningsrommet var også veldig utstyr, det var plass til mer/bedre utstyr, men her var det kun minimum.

I've had ups and downs during a short stay in this hotel, but the downs were solely related to the other guests during breakfast. The staff, the pool and sauna area, the room, and the location were all super nice. We were even surprised with a room upgrade upon arrival 🤗 Also, this is potentially the best-cleaned room I've ever experienced in Norway (seriously). I would just suggest having someone check the room/hour booked for breakfast and communicating that you can only go to breakfast at the designated time slot. Otherwise, you won't be let in. Despite having a system where guests can book a breakfast slot, almost no one respects that. The outcome is that breakfast is overcrowded, with many disrespectful people leaving mess everywhere. That is the one thing I hated during my stay. I know that the hotel staff is trying to put things in "order," and that is appreciated. I mean, the fact that you can reserve a time to go to the pool when there are no kids around and the fact that the pool is open until 11:00 PM were highlights. And please, please don't ever change that! All in all, I recommend staying here. The breakfast won't be the most pleasant experience during weekends, but all the other things make Scandic Royal an excellent hotel in Stavanger. P.S. I've seen others commenting that the hotel is too loud. My room window faced Folken (a concert house), and there were people partying outside, but I couldn't hear anything as long as my window was closed.

Fint hotell med bra service. Rummet var rent och fräsch och hade vattenkokare och kaffe/Te. Frukosten hade allt man kunde önska och lite till. Enda nackdelen var att det var välsigt varmt på rummet och ac:n var låst på 21,7 grader så det gick inte att få det svalare. Men bortsett från det är vi jätte nöjda över våran vistelse och kan varmt rekomendera hotellet.

Room was comfortable but could’ve used more pillows. Otherwise loved the spacious room. Would have liked to see some local ciders offered at bar, but not a deal breaker. Bartenders were friendly. Front desk staff were helpful. Parking in Stavanger is a pain for someone like me, especially with road construction going on. But we managed. Only real issue we ran into was a drunk man in hot tub. He wouldn’t leave my wife alone. He scared another couple out of hot tub because he was practically crawling all over them. Then he started talking rudely to my wife…so we left. It was very disappointing because I chose this hotel for its hot tub and sauna for the last day of our vacation in Norway.

I travelled to Stavanger to go on group hiking trip but I was staying at the hotel as a solo traveler. I called the hotel the day before I was due to travel with a query and from speaking to Caroline, I could tell I had made a good choice! She was super lovely and friendly - I met her when I arrived and again she was so helpful and just a really nice person with great energy! I would definitely stay here again and am already looking forward to my next trip :)

Good: - The room was clean - Breakfast had many choices - Nice jacuzzi Bad: - The shower did not have warm water. I talked to the reception, but they could not change the room because it was fully booked. They send a plumber to fix, but they could not fix it due to the lack of parts. We had cold shower for all the three nights. - We requested a king size bed when booking but got two single beds instead. The receptionist was unapologetic and said ‘You’ve got a same type of room anyway’. - We rented bathrobes for the pool areas (100kr/person). When checking out, we kindly asked if we could take them for free as a compensation because we had to take showers in the pool area due to the lack of warm water in our room. The receptionist did only cancel one of our bathrobe and still charged for one and again, being unapologetic. Overall: It was our first time staying at Scandic and disappointing. I expected the standard was closer to Raddison blu or Thon hotels. I would not choose any Scandic hotels in the future.

Vi skjekket inn og han i resepsjonen såg ut som han ikke ville være på jobb den fredagskvelden. Lite utvalg på frokosten , mye tomt, kom ikke, eller tok lang tid før skjekket og fylte på nytt. Rommene var rene og fine. Litt kjedlig at bassengtiden er så begrenset.

Close to the city center and even though the parking under the hotel was full there is a large parking garage close by. Note that the parking spots in the garage are on the slimer side so if you have a larger car it might be worth looking around for a bit for a good spot. Very friendly staff and and a nice breakfast. Only negative is the chlorine smell from the pool area in the reception.

This is a wonderful hotel from check in to check out! The lobby is beautiful with several quaint sitting areas and a huge breakfast area / restaurant. The breakfast is amazing and delicious! The pool area is funky and very nice with a great hot tub, sauna, etc. And our room was very nice and quiet. The hotel is convenient and walkable to all areas, restaurants, train/bus, museums in central Stavanger. We had a very fun stay!

Impossible to get hold of the reception on the phone number they give you, the casting device on the tv didn't work so i had to fix that myself, the jacuzzi didn't work and during breakfast the juices was very often empty

Ble møtt av smilende og serviceorienterte resepsjonister, renholdere og servitører. Terningkast 6😀 God frokost, med god bakst/ brød og godt utvalg. For å bli enda bedre hadde det vært supert med ekte egg og ikke eggeblanding. Og vaffel/ pannekakerøre så du kan steke selv/ få det varmt i stedet for posekjøpt. Mye kø og for liten plass til alle gjester mellom 9 og 10.30. Men plass til å spise ble løst ved bruk av møterom. Fortsatt mye kø for å hente maten. Siden det var bortimot tomt 7-8 hver dag hadde det nok vært lurt å flytte frokosten til litt senere i ferietid/ helg. Terningkast 4. Rom romslige og plass til 4 v bruk av sovesofa som dobbeltseng. God trykk i dusj. Hyggelige renholdere på tilbudssiden som fylte på med kaffe/ te/ håndklær med et smil. Rett ved bryggen/ sentrum med flotte restauranter. Bassengtid inndelt mellom barn/ familier fra 7-12 og 16-19 og voksne utover disse tidene. Lurt slik at voksne alene kan svømme i fred på noen tidspunkt og faktisk få svømt, og barna får sin egen leke og plasketid. Litt pes med bestilling av time hver dag som betyr at andre aktiviteter må tilpasses denne tiden, men ser ikke hvordan de kunne løst det på en annen måte iom stort trykk på bassenget. Great hotel in an ideal location for visiting Stavanger harbour area. The second morning we were there was extremely busy for breakfast and there wasn’t really enough food coffee or drinks put out. Other than that, a really nice hotel.
