Amazing hotel. Lovely room, fresh and clean interior, mid century decor but cozy and warm not sterile. The room has amazing lighting, a very comfy bed, and was very clean. The shower wasn’t the best but still very nice. Excellent location and parking garage is close by.

This is a great hotel. The staff was amazing and were very hospitable. The gym is a 2 min walk and it’s an actual legit gym. Housekeeping was always on point and the kitchen staff were very flexible and were always open to modify their menu

The Alex is a gem! The location is near Trinity College and beautiful St. Stephen's Green - great neighborhood! But truly, it is not far from any place that you'd like to walk to in the city. The room is well-appointed, the shower is especially exceptional, and the gym (shared with two other properties) is a full workout facility (RARE in Dublin!). We would go back in a heartbeat.

The property was nice. It had recently been renovated. The gym is not located in the hotel, but at a sister property that was a two minute walk. The only complaint was that the hotel bar closed early even on a Friday evening. We got back around 10:30pm and it was closed for the night.

Service was excellent. View from our room was quiet and very good. Parking was a hassle. There were issues with the parking barrier and not being able to get hold of anyone on the help line.

Fantastic staff! Diego and Kyle were especially helpful. Loved the location and how easy it is to walk everywhere. The gym across the street at The Mont is fantastic and it is 24 hours. Highly recommend!!

Really nice hotel, great location. Unfortunately no rooms were available ahead of check in time but that's only a nice to have and they very quickly offered to store our bags. The communal area and rooms are all very fresh, clean and comfortable and it's clearly been well maintained. Would definitely recommend and will stay again

I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the entire property and the thoughtful design details in the rooms and public areas. The staff was excellent, always friendly and attentive. The location was outstanding, with a number of popular attractions around the city centre within walking distance.

Firstly, there are some good things about this hotel. Very comfortable beds, large spacious rooms and very quiet given its about 10min walk from the centre. However, this hotel was a horrible experience ftom thr start. I realised on my first evening the bedfing was stained but told by reception housekeeping only worked till 4pm so couldnt be changed. The next morning I went to reception and again asked for the bedding to be changed. Came back later to find the bed had been remade but still mucky sheets. Breakfast was fine but for money I would go else where. Staff clearly struggled to understand guest requests as I was bought hot water when I requested a latte and the next table said they were calling it alex bingo as they never got what they asked for. When checking out I was charged for double the breakfasts and also another room at first. I also raised the bedding issue and whilst very apologetic the receptionist just blamed the external laundry company not seeming to get that my issue was more with hotel staff for not rectifying the issue. I wasnt offered any compensation for having to sleep in a dirty bed just the receptionists direct email for making sure I have a clean bed if I booked again. I will definately not be booking again.

Enteance lobby is great, quick and easy check-in with friendly staff, room was spacious, clean and comfortable, clearly they spend money and effort on the bed and bedsheets. Breakfast is very good as well. Really liked it.

The hotel is lovely and the staff is great. Very accommodating. The beds are comfy and everything is clean. The air conditioning did not really cool the room. The temperature was set at 18 Celsius which is 64-65 Fahrenheit but it did not get close to that even though temperature in Dublin was below that at night. It was too hot in the room for a restful sleep for me. The staff offered to give me a fan.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Alex. We had a room on the front which was quiet and didn’t hear much from outside. The room was huge especially the bed! Had all the facilities we needed like hairdryer, mini fridge, Nespresso coffee machine and free waters. Great to leave luggage on check in/check out. Room was clean and just loved the luxury decor of the hotel. Used the great gym facilities at the sister hotel The Mont round the corner. In a great location to the centre of Dublin. We walked and I think it would be like 15/20 mins dependent on where you wanted to go and the area around the hotel felt safe. The Dublin express from the airport was conveniently around the corner for the drop off/pick up. Would really recommend to stay here! Only downside would be the very late check in at 4pm

We upgraded to the Executive King and we’re super happy we did so. The bed was amazing. We slept like babies. The amenities, the bathrobe and the Nespresso machine were, wonderful. we also had access to the executive lounge for light snacks, bottled water, and sodas, beer and wine, which was lovely after coming back to the hotel from a day of walking around Dublin. The staff members were all super nice. We really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed in Room 600 (top floor) got awoken at 5 am by the air handling unit and additional compressors. Whole room was vibrating. Said it to staff, don’t really think anyone cared. Under those circumstances room should really be used for housekeeping or hotel utilities. For €230 you would expect a night sleep.

High end hotel with large room and extra large comfortable bed. Room was updated, very clean and came with all the amenities associated with a higher end hotel. The room was VERY quiet...had the best blackout curtains I've ever seen at a hotel. Only complaint would be service at the breakfast area. You're asked if you want coffee or tea. I overheard another guest asking for a cappuccino. Didn't know it was an option until the third time eating there.

The front of desk were generally very bad. It took nearly 1 hour to check in and then they did not get anything right. The senior management were very good and they made every effort to make good the wrongs which I was grateful for. Overall a good hotel, but there are certainly staff problems that leaves an unpleasant taste.

I had a great experience at The Alex. First and foremost, the staff at The Alex was wonderful. They were responsive to my emails before my arrival, answering all my questions promptly. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted, and throughout my three-day stay, their friendliness was appreciated. The king room I stayed in made for a comfortable retreat. The shower was particularly enjoyable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the stocked coffee, tea, coffee maker, and kettle. It was great to have my room serviced daily, keeping everything neat and tidy throughout my stay. I also loved the convenience of the cafe right on-site. Grabbing a coffee before heading out for the day was a perfect way to start each morning. The location was good—it was an easy walk to the EPIC Museum and the Jeanie Johnston, and I found the Temple Bar area to be just a short distance away. The nearby pubs like The Ginger Man and Kennedy's added to the experience; both are just a stone's throw away and created a wonderful atmosphere for enjoying a night out. The dinner at Tang, located next door, was absolutely fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend The Alex for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with excellent service and a good location. I hope I can go back someday.

Hotel was great, quiet, good Dublin location, easy walking distance. The staff was really great, friendly, considerate, could not do enough for us during our stay. Allowed for a free early checkin which was fantastic after an all night flight. Definitely stay here again.

On arrival (early) we were told check-in would be available between 1400-1500 and reception offered to call us when the room was ready; on return to the hotel at 1600 the room wasnt ready and despite several trips to the desk we did not get a room until after 1800; with a 1900 dinner reservation across town this was not ideal; the hotel manager was apologetic and went out of his way to try to redeem this poor start to our stay for which we were grateful but it was not a standard of service (the check-in process) which I was expecting at a hotel charging this room rate; otherwise the hotel was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good and the hotel is well positioned for all local amenities/city centre Dublin

The staff is very helpful and check-in was a breeze. There’s an outdoor pub a few buildings over which was charming the first night of their singing but got a bit old by 1AM the next few nights. It’s very easy to get a taxi in perhaps a minute or two and it’s an easy walk to Trinity College and Merrion Green. It was a very good experience but maybe bring earplugs.

The hotel was beautiful, and in a great location. It’s relatively quiet with only a handful of pubs nearby, and just a couple blocks away from Trinity College and many of the museums. Very easy to get around.

Great location. Clean hotel with great staff. Bedroom are very spacious and comfortable. Hotel very sterile with basic facilities. TV in room didn’t work. Issue with sockets so had to reset fuse board myself every time they stopped working. No bath robes provided. Breakfast was average. Buffet style only. Wouldn’t return

Staff were all really lovely, the room was clean with a large comfortable bed, lovely decor & quiet & the breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had in a city hotel.

The Alex is really a very good hotel. The service at the front desk is great, the rooms are comfortable and the hotel is in a very central location of Dublin. The only reason I have marked this hotel down is the food and beverage service. We had multiple incidents with the restaurant, and they have some policies that don't make sense (i.e. a 10 euro surcharge for room service seems excessive). Again, the front desk tried to help with the incidents, but there is definitely a disconnect there. Fortunately, Dublin is full of wonderful places to eat, so this was just a small blemish on an overall enjoyable stay.

This is a fantastic property in an exceptionally quiet neighborhood, guaranteed to deliver a great night’s sleep. The beds and linens are top-notch, and the staff couldn’t be more helpful, especially Simon at the front desk. The breakfast buffet is excellent and well worth the cost. It’s just a 10-minute walk to Grafton Street and an easy stroll to everything in central Dublin. Definitely put this one on your short list!

I will say the rooms and beds are excellent, however the amenities are just so so. The parking situation is terrible. No valet parking, they give you a map, that looks like a treasure hunt map, to a parking garage with no address. We finally found it. Upon departure are car was stuck in there, gate would not open. The restaurant was solid but the service was terrible. We sat down before 9 and the server sat us, let us know we would not be able to order dessert at the end of our meal, took our order and we never saw him again. Again, rooms are awesome but in all for what we paid all around service could have been far better.

Enteance lobby is great, quick and easy check-in with friendly staff, room was spacious, clean and comfortable, clearly they spend money and effort on the bed and bedsheets. Breakfast is very good as well. Really liked it.

The property was nice. It had recently been renovated. The gym is not located in the hotel, but at a sister property that was a two minute walk. The only complaint was that the hotel bar closed early even on a Friday evening. We got back around 10:30pm and it was closed for the night.

Every staff member at The Alex was so accommodating, kind, and welcoming. They were the highlight of the whole experience. In addition, the facilities themselves were lovely, and they had great dining options inside the hotel. We ate breakfast there twice, got coffee from The Steam, and ordered room service, all of which were excellent. It was also an easy trek to Trinity College, Grafton Street, and Temple Bar, which are at most, a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Overall, The Alex is a great find with excellent customer service!

Great location close to Trinity College, the National Gallery, Marion Square Park, and Grafton Street. The bar and restaurant were nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant. It took a while for our food to be served but when it got there it was hot and delicious. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the bedroom was spacious. Decent closet and drawer space. The bathroom was small but functional. There was a mini fridge, electric tea pot and espresso maker. We appreciated the milk and soy creamers in the fridge. High point was definitely the location. Easy to get around Dublin from there, nice safe neighborhood.
