Beautiful hotel with a great leisure centre and very friendlly, helpful staff. The room was big and very comfortable. Was a bit noisy late at night with weddings and Christmas parties, our room was near the front door, but it wouldn't put me off staying sgain.

Belle association entre cet hôtel très confortable avec bonnes solutions de restauration et un club sportif avec une piscine de nage, salle de sport très bien équipée,fitness avec cours, mais aussi jacuzzi, hammam et sauna. Sans compter sur les salles de détente, le bar et le parking à disposition.

The place was great in theory; the staff were friendly, the setting was nice; there was a nice gym and pool; but I was quite disappointed with a few things, especially for the price. The window in our room was very thin and one could hear everything outside during the night. I left a sign for room service on the door at about 9am and when I returned at 5pm the room has not been touched, and my colleague had to go find somebody to ask for new towels and for our bins to be changed. The shower was cracked or broken and water was leaking all over the floor each time it was used. There was not even a tap to fill a water bottle in the lobby and one had to go and ask the bar staff to fill it up (the bar wasn't open in the morning). I asked for a pint of a particular beer and the keg was gone (which is no problem), but when I asked the bar man if the keg would be changed that night he said it 'probably wouldn't be tonight' because there was no one to cover him, even though there was less than 10 people in the bar and plenty of staff coming in and out. The next night, I asked for a pint again and it was the same story. When the price is factored in, these little problems start to add up and I would not consider staying there again when one could have a stay of the same quality somewhere else for cheaper.

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel in the City of Galway and we were very pleased with the room, the amenities in the room as well as the services in the hotel. We ate at the bistro both evenings and the food and service was very good. There are lovely areas to sit and relax in the lobby areas as well as the gardens. There was also ample parking. We did not use the spa or pool. The area was safe and the centre of town was about a 30min walk but the boardwalk on the waterfront was closer. The property is well positioned for visiting the Galway area, the Wild Atlantic Way and Connemara areas. Also not that far to Ennis and Cliffs.

Staff very lovely and genuine. Really nice bunch. They seem short staffed and run off their feet. Hotel was rather tired and dusty in places. Room looked out on a dirty roof where all the a/c units were. Food was ok. Gym was good

Convenience of location to the latin quarter and salthill. We took uber taxi's that were super convenient to getting around. The hotel is beautiful. We loved the leisure club amenities there.

The staff was incredibly friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The food in the bistro was also very good. Unfortunately the walls are very thin, so we could hear everything that was going on in the rooms around us. Also, the bathroom smelled of mold and you cannot close the bathroom door from the outside because the door keeps opening.

The room was clean and well serviced every day with fresh towels and some days a tablet of soap was provided. Unfortunately our experience in the restaurant was not so good; the staff were so busy clearing and laying the tables they didn’t have time to ask what we wanted; on only one day out of four were we asked if we would like to have eggs cooked. Also the hygiene standards weren’t good. The dining room needs refurbishing and lacks ambience. We noted that the stairs are poorly lit.

We enjoyed our stay. The room had the best shower ever! Espresso machine in the room was a nice touch. The room could have done with a vacuming and the hotel could use a lick of paint here and there which I think they are doing. The leisure centre staff and facilities were great.

The room was clean, however it is definitely not a four star hotel as advertised. The room we booked was a superior double and we got a very big room with a double and a single bed which for a romantic getaway really isn’t it. The room was very outdated and in my opinion not worth the money. Location wise - also not ideal as you would still need to drive everywhere or take a taxi.

Hotel has nice grounds, but the rooms are dated. Stayed at 4 other 4* hotels on my vacation and The Ardilaun did not felt like you do not get what you are paying for. Pillows and bed were not comfortable, walls are paper thin and could hear all surrounding rooms using the bathroom all throughout the night. Door was not closed after servicing, but luckily nothing was taken. On the plus side the staff is amazing, welcoming and attentive.
Hotel has nice grounds, but the rooms are dated. Stayed at 4 other 4* hotels on my vacation and The Ardilaun did not felt like you do not get what you are paying for. Pillows and bed were not comfortable, walls are paper thin and could hear all surrounding rooms using the bathroom all throughout the night. Door was not closed after servicing, but luckily nothing was taken. On the plus side the staff is amazing, welcoming and attentive.

Close enough to walk downtown, easy enough to take a taxi if your lazy. The pool was a welcome relaxation for myself as well as my toddler, breakfast was worth it in my opinion and the rooms were spacious and welcoming !

The 3 of us stayed here for 1 night. We needed to visited a few places in town and the receptionist Rebecca was excellent and rang the taxi rank and mentioned all our destination's and made it so easy for us, we also dined in the bar and it was so tasty, room 401 was spacious and the staff. We’re so kind even at breakfast. would stay here again 100%, felt like a home from home, when back to Galway - Angela 🌻

I arrived at about 8:45 AM and was able to check-in as soon as I arrived! Completely changed my day as I was able to get settled before heading out for my Cliffs of Moher tour. This was not a perk I was able to get at other properties I stayed at in Ireland, so it truly made a huge difference and was much appreciated. The staff was so welcoming and I felt very safe and comfortable in the common areas. The breakfast was great and the coffee was delicious. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to Galway, I will be returning to The Ardilaun!!

The staff was so welcoming and I felt very safe and comfortable in the common areas. The breakfast was great and the coffee was delicious. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to Galway, I will be returning to The Ardilaun!!

We waited in the reception for 15mins to check in as the receptionist had to show the previous pair their room, she disappeared without acknowledging us & apologised for delay on return. Had food in the bar, service was great but the food was bland. Room was ok but dated. Breakfast was lovely.

From the moment I went through the door, the staff was amazing and my room was more than I expected. Clean, spacious with a little treat waiting for me. Christian not only helped me find a way to my horseback riding tour but also arranged taxis, and the bus back to Dublin. All the staff was professional and friendly. When I come back to Ireland I will be staying here. Top notch service all the way.

The place was great in theory; the staff were friendly, the setting was nice; there was a nice gym and pool; but I was quite disappointed with a few things, especially for the price. The window in our room was very thin and one could hear everything outside during the night. I left a sign for room service on the door at about 9am and when I returned at 5pm the room has not been touched, and my colleague had to go find somebody to ask for new towels and for our bins to be changed. The shower was cracked or broken and water was leaking all over the floor each time it was used. There was not even a tap to fill a water bottle in the lobby and one had to go and ask the bar staff to fill it up (the bar wasn't open in the morning). I asked for a pint of a particular beer and the keg was gone (which is no problem), but when I asked the bar man if the keg would be changed that night he said it 'probably wouldn't be tonight' because there was no one to cover him, even though there was less than 10 people in the bar and plenty of staff coming in and out. The next night, I asked for a pint again and it was the same story. When the price is factored in, these little problems start to add up and I would not consider staying there again when one could have a stay of the same quality somewhere else for cheaper.

When we first checked in we received a room that was still occupied. We walked into the room and a lady was in bed sleeping. This was a shocking experience and I cannot imagine her horror waking up with us looking at her. It was absolutely unacceptable. The receptionist that made the error didn't even apologise for the mistake nor provide anything complimentary for this dismal behavior, although she said that we would receive something complimentary for her lack of excellence. We then received a room that was without shower gel during our stay. The shower was also badly insulated and the towels was drenched with water each time we showered. The staff at the restaurant was super friendly and food was exceptional. All in all... It truly was a socking experience when we checked in and we wont be back.

The room was adequate but very clean. Easy access the the parking garage made getting in and out a breeze. Getting into town requires a short taxi ride. The staff was kind and helpful.

Overall solid experience. Nothing really stood out as unusually exceptional, but there was also nothing to really point out as a flaw. It's a bit of a walk to anything, as it's mainly in a residential area, but that's part of why I chose this location.

Nice hotel with a good breakfast and cute garden for groups to gather. Did not realize it was not walkable to historic Galway but was close to several bus lines.

Close enough to walk downtown, easy enough to take a taxi if your lazy. The pool was a welcome relaxation for myself as well as my toddler, breakfast was worth it in my opinion and the rooms were spacious and welcoming !

Very lovely hotel a bit out of town which is an advantage. We used a taxi to go and come from the city for about 10 euros. Very nice breakfast.

Convenience of location to the latin quarter and salthill. We took uber taxi's that were super convenient to getting around. The hotel is beautiful. We loved the leisure club amenities there.

We had a very nice room overlooking the garden. The staff was wonderful, and very helpful. We enjoyed dining at the Bistro for lunch as well.

The hotel was great by itself. Room was great and the overall space was also great. Easy and plenty of parking. It is a decent distance outside of the town centre so you need to taxi or drive to avoid the 30 min walk. I would say we had a different experience with the bar restaurant than perhaps others. While the service was good, the food was not. I’d place it last amongst 10 days of meals we had in Ireland. The fish and chips one had was not crispy rather a bit soggy. So consider options outside of the hotel if you have the ability.

Unfortunately our experience in the restaurant was not so good; the staff were so busy clearing and laying the tables they didn’t have time to ask what we wanted; on only one day out of four were we asked if we would like to have eggs cooked. Also the hygiene standards weren’t good. The dining room needs refurbishing and lacks ambience. We noted that the stairs are poorly lit.

I was pleasantly surprised it was a dog friendly hotel. The lobbey offers a lovely ambience. Unfortunately, there wasn't alot of choices on the dinner menu. I ordered duck, which was tough. All things considered.. the friendiless of staff and other resisents. It was an enjoyable stay!

I arrived at about 8:45 AM and was able to check-in as soon as I arrived! Completely changed my day as I was able to get settled before heading out for my Cliffs of Moher tour. This was not a perk I was able to get at other properties I stayed at in Ireland, so it truly made a huge difference and was much appreciated. The staff was so welcoming and I felt very safe and comfortable in the common areas. The breakfast was great and the coffee was delicious. We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel in the City of Galway and we were very pleased with the room, the amenities in the room as well as the services in the hotel. We ate at the bistro both evenings and the food and service was very good. There are lovely areas to sit and relax in the lobby areas as well as the gardens. There was also ample parking. We did not use the spa or pool. The area was safe and the centre of town was about a 30min walk but the boardwalk on the waterfront was closer. The property is well positioned for visiting the Galway area, the Wild Atlantic Way and Connemara areas. Also not that far to Ennis and Cliffs.

We had a nice big room with a view of entrance and parking lot. The hotel is a bit dated. The jacuzzi and sauna were being maintained so that was disappointing. The bus into the city center was easy to catch. The breakfast was not great. One day there was a huge group in the dining room for breakfast. Service was bad that day. The omelet was totally over cooked- brown on outside and missing key ingredients. The staff in DR were young and inexperienced -In a hurry to grab plates before we were finished. The food in the bar was mediocre and served very slowly.

Nice antiquated hotel in Galway. Away from the city center, so it was nice and quiet. The rooms were spacious, we had a bed each for the kids, so as a family of 4 we could stay comfortably for 2 nights. However, everything is dated, the swimming pool is nice, but old and had an pool stench, nothing too bad, but you could sense it. Breakfast was nice and basic. It was a little pricey considering how dated everything was, in its heydays this must have been a pretty luxurious place.

It is situated very close to the beach, which is nice. The rooms were a little dated but very clean and the service from all the employees was fantastic. The addition of a steam room and Jacuzzi along with the pool is a nice touch.
