Room was clean plenty of space not cramped in anyway. All staff were friendly & accommodating. On arrival went into rear function room unaware they had a bingo/karaoke function on, all very lively & loud, so buying drinks & drink I ordered was not available tho was told if I went into Bar area I could get one, so wife & daughter had there drinks all ok, so a good excuse to get out of the manic atmosphere to go to the bar, on entering it it was very calm & chap playing & singing which was very good, all bar staff were friendly & nice atmosphere. Breakfast on arrival all welcoming & found a table which there were plenty, tho there was also quite a few already taken, so very popular I’d say. Was given menus by friendly staff, we were unaware we had walked past the fruit and bakery items, as we were waiting for someone to come to us to take orders, my daughter informed me there were fruit & bakery items we had walked past, so waiting about we went up & helped ourselves, I had some grapefruit & bit of fruit salad, grapefruit was lovely the fruit salad was ok..ish mainly apples which to me was tasteless, daughter had croissants she enjoyed them, wife had some bread & croissants which she enjoyed. Onto the main breakfast, and I had big breakfast fry up, wife had small one, overall I’d say 8/10 Black & White Pudding lovely as was mushrooms, sausages, hash browns, tomato, tho must say Bacon looked ok, nice & lean, barely any bit of fat on, but tasted a little off/out of date…only just

Pre purchased two double rooms but on arrival, tried to tell me I had one single and one double. With some insistence, they gave us two rooms, but one room had only scalding hot water with no cold water so shower wasn’t usable. Can’t drink water and had to go to bar for a pitcher of water. Reminder—no elevator but did carry our luggage up stairs.

The rooms unfortunately are not accessible to anyone with a physical handicap. All the guest rooms are up long flights of stairs, and there is no lift anywhere in the hotel. The rest of the hotel have ramps and easy access, but it is strange the the rooms do not.

Terrific experience - one we would highly recommend. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, our room was wonderful....clean and spacious. After a busy day we decided to have dinner in the hotel and ordered

The location was excellent, and the service was warm and attentive. I really enjoyed the substantial cooked breakfast—it set me up for the day. The bathroom was modern and clean, though the room itself felt a bit dated and could use a refresh. That said, I’d definitely stay again.

Clean and breakfast was good. It’s an old building so no major surprises but I did keep tripping in the hallway due to uneven floors. No I was not drunk.

We had a lovely stay. The food was amazing we ate in the bar & had breakfast - everything we ate was cooked perfectly & tasted great. Unfortunately we had an old room & this was disappointing. The staff were lovely

Very high level of service, so nice staff. you can feel that the hotel is getting older but for my one night stay it was perfect. the bed was nice and maybe only thing was the radiator, it was so hot and had to sleep with the window open as you can't change it. the souroundings are stunning.

Everything was very good with this hotel, except for a very loud noise/drone outside my window, which I assume was perhaps an air conditioning unit that eventually went off at approx 22:30, but the cam on again at approx 06:30. Excellent evening meal and service.

Was given menus by friendly staff, we were unaware we had walked past the fruit and bakery items, as we were waiting for someone to come to us to take orders, my daughter informed me there were fruit & bakery items we had walked past, so waiting about we went up & helped ourselves, I had some grapefruit & bit of fruit salad, grapefruit was lovely the fruit salad was ok..ish mainly apples which to me was tasteless, daughter had croissants she enjoyed them, wife had some bread & croissants which she enjoyed. Onto the main breakfast, and I had big breakfast fry up, wife had small one, overall I’d say 8/10 Black & White Pudding lovely as was mushrooms, sausages, hash browns, tomato, tho must say Bacon looked ok, nice & lean, barely any bit of fat on, but tasted a little off/out of date…only just

Pre purchased two double rooms but on arrival, tried to tell me I had one single and one double. With some insistence, they gave us two rooms, but one room had only scalding hot water with no cold water so shower wasn’t usable. Can’t drink water and had to go to bar for a pitcher of water. Reminder—no elevator but did carry our luggage up stairs.

A lovely stay spoilt by a huge ruckus at 1.45am by what appears to be staff locking up & laughing & yelling loudly as they leave. I might add we were compensated with a complimentary breakfast which means management was sincere in their apologies. It did not help that it took us a long time to get back to sleep.

This property is on the square. The square is a really busy street. Our room overlooked the square. The staff was wonderful, the food was very good. We noticed that servers from our lunch down the street came there for their dinners so it must be really good. Close to the castle and other attractions. TV remote sort of worked, had to turn it on and off at the wall plate.

We had a lovely stay. The food was amazing we ate in the bar & had breakfast - everything we ate was cooked perfectly & tasted great. Unfortunately we had an old room & this was disappointing. The staff were lovely

Everything was very good with this hotel, except for a very loud noise/drone outside my window, which I assume was perhaps an air conditioning unit that eventually went off at approx 22:30, but the cam on again at approx 06:30. Excellent evening meal and service.

Restaurant was fantastic. Staff was very accommodating when we changed our plans based on a route trip change. Lovely little town. Very walkable and we really enjoyed our visit to Cahir Castle.

Room was clean plenty of space not cramped in anyway. All staff were friendly & accommodating. On arrival went into rear function room unaware they had a bingo/karaoke function on, all very lively & loud, so buying drinks & drink I ordered was not available tho was told if I went into Bar area I could get one, so wife & daughter had there drinks all ok, so a good excuse to get out of the manic atmosphere to go to the bar, on entering it it was very calm & chap playing & singing which was very good, all bar staff were friendly & nice atmosphere. Breakfast on arrival all welcoming & found a table which there were plenty, tho there was also quite a few already taken, so very popular I’d say. Petit déjeuner et personnel au top. Par contre l'annonce de l'hôtel est trompeuse. Nous ne somme pas de la région et la première photo que l'on voit est une belle bâtisse en toi de chaume que ce soit sur le site hôtel.com ou Google . Sauf que ces photos sont pour un petit village a côté et que l'hôtel est basic et ne vaut pas le prix de la nuit. A côté il y a des hôtels avec piscine et parking pour le même prix voir moins cher. Dommage.

This is a very nice, comfortable, well-managed hotel right in the center of Cahir. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's in easy walking distance of the castle, numerous coffee shops, and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is also quite good, and there is a substantial breakfast available. Our "first floor" room was a significant walk from the reception, up and down several stairs, even after we were on the first floor, but that is just the way the hotel is put together. There is also a car park behind the hotel.

The hotel is an attractive building in the centre of the town, looking over the main square. There is free parking to the rear of the hotel and elsewhere in the town. The room was comfortable and clean with all the facilities you'd need. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. All the staff were very friendly. The bar/restaurant in the hotel has a friendly atmosphere, serves good food and drink for a reasonable price. The hotel is with in walking distance of local parks, golf course and Cahir Castle.
