Killarney Royal Townhouse

Hotel was nice . Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night a few times with no explanation given to us . Breakfast was absolutely very poor and charging $22.50 a plate was very expensive. Restaurant bar draught beer was stale .

This hotel is very charming. We loved the spacious room. It felt very luxurious. The restaurant was very good. We enjoyed our meals. The staff was helpful and skilled. They recommended a tour that was fun. We were able to use the amenities at The Great Southern Hotel, which was fantastic.

We had a lovely stay here. The personalized touches-- a welcome whiskey tasting, a handwritten note in the hotel room, water, turndown services, and friendly staff- were all appreciated. We would absolutely stay here again, and recommend that anyone visiting Killarney do the same. If you eat at their restaurant, try the duck. You'll thank me later.

All of the staff were so welcoming and helpful. We were greeted with whiskey upon arrival…what a lovely and unexpected touch that was! Our rooms were large, functional and beautiful. We highly recommend this hotel.

After researching hotels in Killarney, we decided to stay at the Killarney Royal. We were not disappointed. Parking is off site (about a block away), and free. The lobby was perfect for cold nights by the fireplace with a glass of wine or Irish Whiskey. The food at the restaurant was delicious. We really enjoyed meeting Veronica our first night. She was a wealth of information as far as where to go and what to see. There's a coffee shop around the corner called The Shire that I'd suggest for breakfast/lunch. We will definitely be back!

This was my favorite hotel of my entire trip. I have to compliment Valeria (concierge) at this hotel. She is the most helpful concierge I have ever come across. No request was too much. This hotel was maybe a three-minute walk from the train station and certainly not far from many dining and shopping options. The room was beautiful except for some water damage spots on the ceiling, but I would DEFINITELY stay here again.

While taking a road trip through Southern Ireland, we were lucky enough to stay at the Killarney Royal Hotel. I have never left a review on this site, but felt the need to after our experience at the hotel. Veronica was without question amazing. Upon our arrival, she gave us perfect recommendations for our evening — activities, shops, and restaurants throughout the town. All of them were exactly what we were hoping for during our visit. However, upon our return that evening, we were able to chat with Veronica (during a quiet period downstairs) about our trip and experiences thus far and our goals for the remainder. Veronica listened to our goals and helped us draft up an itinerary for the remainder of our road trip. The following morning, when we went to check out, she even gave us a handwritten list of the itinerary with notes and recommendations. We can not thank Veronica and the Killarney Royal Hotel for the amazing experience we had. Over the course of the road trip, we traveled approximately 1,000 km in our loop of Southern Ireland and stayed at many hotels, but our stay at the Killarney Royal Hotel was the best. It was clean, personable, memorable, but most importantly the customer service we received from Veronica was without question a highlight. You can tell she loves her job and is incredibly good at it.

I'm really hoping our room was just an exception to the norm, as it wasn't as nice as the pictures... No carpeting, the windows were facing another building and incredibly dirty so not much natural light (they covered one with fake vines to make it look a bit more appealing). There was also a really strong smell of sewage coming from our bathroom. The building was also built in the early 1900s so the floors on the level above us creaked pretty loudly from other guests. The service was great though and the bed was large and comfortable. I do wish I had paid a bit more to stay at one of their partner hotels though (Killarney Towers or Killarney Plaza).

The room we were given -- the "King Royal Suite -- was a dark, dingy, two-room nightmare. The windows were blocked and etched, so we were unable to see out Upon opening the window sill, pigeon poop was everywhere. There was no screen to keep window open. This hotel is misrepresented on the internet. It is 3 stars at best, and the staff is the best part. They are friendly, helpful, wililng and upbeat. Th 440 euros! What a waste. But Michael and Nicole were eager to make it right and offered us compensations. Still, I wonder why this hotel is being advertised as a 4-Star when it is badly in need up an update!

The property was nice and the staff were amazing. My only complaint would be the outside noise which you can hear in the room as if you’re there. But, I did enjoy our stay there.

This beautiful hotel is both charming and luxurious. Guests may feel like they have taken a step back in time while also enjoying exceptional modern comforts and amenities The location is near multiple shops, pubs and restaurants. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the modern bathroom even contained a heated towel bar! I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice hotel. It has been renovated somewhat recently so was up to date. The staff was excellent and the hotel was within easy walking distance to restaurants and pubs.
