This was my favorite hotel of all time, and I have stayed in many! I really enjoyed the Vitality Pool and spa area which looks like a Roman bathhouse. I must admit I spent a lot of time down there. There were many massage and other options for ultimate relaxation. The breakfasts and dinners I had were amazing too! I enjoyed the breakfast room and all the many choices including the tropical smoothie. Guillermo and his team provided amazing service! My check-in was great too and all the hotel staff were warm and welcoming. This hotel is so close to everything of interest in Killarney National Park, being in the park, and I much prefer it to the crowded atmosphere in the hotels in the town of Killarney. I hope to visit again someday!

Our room was quiet, spacious and airconditioned. Shower worked well. Meals especially breakfast and the Yew Tree were excellent. The spas and Vitalty centre were outstanding. Hot tub and Jacuzzi available all day without children.

Beautiful property with lots of parking. 3 restaurant options on site, room was big and clean. Walking distance to Muckross Abbey and Muckross House. The vitality pools are very relaxing and worth getting your time booked in advance. The breakfast in the morning is exceptional and very delicious.

Wonderful quiet hotel with comfortable beds, friendly staff and a beautiful walking path through the woods right outside. The only negative is that the pool is too small for lap swimming.

we had a great time at Muckross Hotel. Only thing I would say is you have to call in that you want to use the pool and spa area. which we would have known because we didn’t get to use it.

Beautiful property and surrounding area, which we explored via bikes from the hotel. You need to book a time for the pool/sauna/jacuzzi area ahead of your arrival. Lovely breakfast and dining available on site was pricey but excellent. We had to pay for a taxi from the bus station to the hotel, but the concierge helped us arrange it.

Nice stay! The location is convenient to Killarney National Park and Killarney. Patrick the concierge was super helpful. The room was OK - we did find a huge spider in the bed upon arrival. However, it was overall clean. It was a plus that they offer free bikes to explore the surrounding area.

We loved our stay here. The staff was super accommodating. After traveling for almost 2 weeks, we used the efficient laundry service. We ate breakfast, twice, as it was included in our stay. The breakfast included buffet items as well as off the menu. Hotel had plenty of parking and air conditioner worked great.

Lovely place and great staff. The bar and breakfast were delicious. What I loved most was the history of the hotel, dating back to the 1790’s. We stayed in one of the historical rooms. Was a little dated but still nice and clean. It’s across from Muckross Abbey. Good location, a little further out from the restaurants but close by car.

We were kindly given an upgrade to a larger room. The stay was for my mums birthday and there were welcome gifts in her room, which was lovely. The staff were exemplary, all very friendly and pleasant. Large bath and separate shower in the bathroom, with luxurious toiletries supplied.

Wonderful location across from Killarney National Park, perfect for walking and biking. Perfect base to explore the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. Breakfast was fantastic, staff attentive and rooms beautiful, clean and well appointed. All in all a great stay.

The hotel was amazing, the suite was well kept and the cleaners seem to do a really good job at making sure it was clean and tidy, constantly making sure the room was how we wanted and even leaving chocolates each day...shout-out to them! We had a slight issue with room service which I didn’t actually raise with the hotel, but otherwise perfect stay, location and great breakfast! Most staff were great and I would definitely visit again.

This hotel is just across the road to the park. Amazing location and they provide the bikes so you can set right out. Room was large and clean but a bit warm even though we lowered the thermostat as much as it would go. Maybe a lighter blanket would have been enough. All in all a great experience. Breakfast was the best! Would stay here again.

Our stay at the Muckross was great! Lovely property and location. The room AC was rough though. It was a hot sleep at times, but otherwise we had a great stay. The on property pub and restaurant were excellent. Our meal at the Owenmore was amazing. The staff are great, very friendly and welcoming. The proximity to the Abbey and Torc Waterfall are a plus as well. I would definitely stay there again.

absolutely stunning property! the pool was out of this world! there was a slight issue with the AC, but the manager addressed it with me personally and gave me a discount! i was not expecting that and genuinely appreciated it!!! thank you Filip! i will definitely be back. they had excellent recommendations as well. i had the Dough Bros pizza in Galway based on Filips recommendation and it was amazing!!! above and beyond service here, well worth the price and such cool things to see including the Torc waterfall was literally 5 minute drive away.

Muckross was a beautiful old hotel. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. The dining room was formal and the dinner was excellent. We enjoyed breakfast. It was across the street from the Killarney national park. We enjoyed a beautiful walk and the Muckross Abby.

Nice staff, quick check in, but property is a little tired and the property is a little bit out of town. But it gets the job done with quiet rooms. They don't serve breakfast until 7:30 am when people are up hours before 7:30 walking around the lobby looking for coffee and something to eat.

The staff were friendly and helpful. There were nice touches. For example, if you ask that the room not be cleaned they thank you with a complimentary drink card (wine/beer/coffee). It was unexpected but a nice touch. The grounds are beautiful. It was our favorite hotel during our trip.

The welcome crew were excellent, particularly Shane stood out as a star. Nice meal in the Yew Tree restaurant where there was a good wine list. We were fortunate to be given a free upgrade which made the stay even more agreeable.

The hotel was just as described and quite beautiful and welcoming. The service was particularly noteworthy and just extraordinary. My husband fell ill during our stay and everyone reached out to help in ways we had never seen. They were extremely helpful in arranging medical appointments and transportation and followed up with several offers of support as if we were staying in a private home. The spa service I received was outstanding. I strongly recommend this hotel without reservation.

absolutely stunning property! the pool was out of this world! there was a slight issue with the AC, but the manager addressed it with me personally and gave me a discount! i was not expecting that and genuinely appreciated it!!! thank you Filip! i will definitely be back. they had excellent recommendations as well. i had the Dough Bros pizza in Galway based on Filips recommendation and it was amazing!!! above and beyond service here, well worth the price and such cool things to see including the Torc waterfall was literally 5 minute drive away.

From start to finish this place was first rate from a time you checked into the time you left it was impeccable. The food was great. The service was outstanding everywhere you went. People were helpful. I actually forgot a bag in the room. She called me an hour after I left and asked me if I wanted to come back and get it or if she wanted me to ship it to my house he just don’t see Service like this very often I would stay there in a heartbeat.

We stayed for two nights. Upon arrival we were greeted by an amazing porter, Patrick. At the desk we were checked in by a less than friendly individual. Our assigned room was not what was described on Expedia or the hotels own website for a suite. We spent the night in that room due to the fact we were told there were no other rooms available. The next day we were moved to the room we were expecting and the hotel manager was kind. The second night we dined at the hotel’s restaurant and had an incredible meal. The second day they definitely redeemed themselves.

My husband and I had medical emergencies while we stayed at the hotel that were handled with gracefulness and professionalism by all staff and management. They went beyond what was expected even from a 5 star rated hotel. Their commitment to client service is exceptional. They ensured to understand our needs and even anticipated those that we had not thought of. They provided extra services while reassuring us that they would be there if additional needs came up. Everybody from the cleaning staff to management were very helpful, special praises to Nile, managers Sean and Chris in addition to deputy general manager Breda.

We loved our stay here. The staff was super accommodating. After traveling for almost 2 weeks, we used the efficient laundry service. We ate breakfast, twice, as it was included in our stay. Lovely place and great staff. The bar and breakfast were delicious. What I loved most was the history of the hotel, dating back to the 1790’s. We stayed in one of the historical rooms. Was a little dated but still nice and clean. It’s across from Muckross Abbey. Good location, a little further out from the restaurants but close by car.

Muckross was a beautiful old hotel. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. The dining room was formal and the dinner was excellent. We enjoyed breakfast. It was across the street from the Killarney national park. We enjoyed a beautiful walk and the Muckross Abby.

Beautiful property and surrounding area, which we explored via bikes from the hotel. You need to book a time for the pool/sauna/jacuzzi area ahead of your arrival. Lovely breakfast and dining available on site was pricey but excellent. We had to pay for a taxi from the bus station to the hotel, but the concierge helped us arrange it.

Nice stay! The location is convenient to Killarney National Park and Killarney. Patrick the concierge was super helpful. The room was OK - we did find a huge spider in the bed upon arrival. However, it was overall clean. It was a plus that they offer free bikes to explore the surrounding area.

Absolutley everything was first class. I can't think of one nit pick. The staff especially stood out as amazing, they were truely outstanding. Especially when they let me stay in the pub when the usual bartender shift was over. The different options for dining was so great, and the food was really top-notch. Also, the value for money at a place of this level was really good.

Our room was quiet, spacious and airconditioned. Shower worked well. Meals especially breakfast and the Yew Tree were excellent. The spas and Vitalty centre were outstanding. Hot tub and Jacuzzi available all day without children.

So beautiful. Staff were so earnest and professional. Directly across the street is Muckross Abbey, a cemetery and ruin that feels mystical, while the resident cows are lowing. We’d visit Colgan’s Bar for dining because the fine dining (Yew Tree) is closed Sunday / Monday, so plan accordingly. Sean in Colgan’s was a pro and wonderful. Breakfast was the best we had in Ireland (of several stays). Massages were lovely, upper back massage was relaxing.

My husband and I got a dinner voucher for 2 for the Yew Restaurant so we decided to treat ourselves to an overnight stay for our anniversary. Unfortunately when I booked I didn't know that restauarant is closed on Sunday nights so we had to make do with the bar restaurant called Colgans. We were disappointed but at least Colgans honoured the voucher. The hotel is 5 star and this is fully evident from when you enter the hotel. Unfortunately, amidst all the attentiveness they managed to mix up our rooms, we were given the wrong room (this room had a veranda with an ashtray full of cigarette butts on a table), they lost our luggage and we were waiting around 90mins before been shown the correct room. Eventually after resolving the issue they did apologise and gave us a complimentary bottle of prosecco but it did leave us somewhat out of sorts. I do have to say the Spa with the Vitality Suite is absolutely beautiful and you do feel very relaxed and spoilt after it. Our bedroom was lovely and clean as was the bathroom. They offered Rituals products which are gorgeous. The only downside in the bathroom is the lack of counter space for toiletry bags etc. Colgans was okay, we were seated in a high table with high stools which didn't make for a relaxing meal. The atmosphere was dead in the bar and hotel lobby albeit it was a Sunday night. The breakfast was lovely and the hotel is perfectly situated beside the national park with Muckross House, Torc, Dinis Cottage all walkable.

Great find on our way to stay on the Ring of Kerry. Comfortable and accommodating. We found that we brought the wrong converter and they gladly supplied us with one. The restaurants were very inviting and offered a nice variety of meals.

It’s a lovely area , nice hotel but certainly not 5 star quality. Little choice at breakfast for healthy options , no yogurt , limited options for children (healthy , organic etc) which is normal for 5 star. Cleaning and maintenance poor. Cobwebs everywhere spiders had to kill a lot flies constantly Balcony needs cleaned windows inside and exterior also need cleaned and kept free of insects Some wooden items need updated eg bar and mini bar . PS we stayed in the tower suite , so one of the “better” rooms 900ft

The staff at Muckross was incredible. Thank you so much to Jo in housekeeping and the rest of the staff who helped us while there and even after we departed. The hotel was comfortable, clean and in a great location. Even the restaurants and bars were awesome. Would highly recommend!
