Hotel very clean. Disappointed that I was unable to have dinner in the bar. It was closed for renovations and I found the function room uncomfortable and lacking in privacy during my dinnertime. I would have appreciated notice of the renovations prior to check-in time.

The temperature of the pool was too cold as was the sauna. There was no body wash in the showers which you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Also the showers were cold in the evening but they were hot in the morning. We didn't have a good breakfast experience either. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table as it was very busy. However all the fruit was gone.and the bread and fruit juice. When our breakfasts eventually arrived some items were missing. Disappoiywith this supposedly 4 star hotel.

This hotel has loads of potential but unfortunately the hygiene of it isn’t up to standards .I recently stayed here and when I checked into my room , the toilet hadn’t been cleaned and there was used toilet roll left on the floor along with dirty towels and an empty can of alcohol left by the sink.I told reception about it who were lovely and extremely apologetic and upgraded me to another room .However this wasn’t much better , the remote control and telephone in the room were filthy, the bed side locker had stains on it , the carpet had stains, the spoons left for tea/coffee were dirty and water was left in the kettle from the previous guest. These are simple basic things that should be cleaned in all rooms on a regular basis.The hotel would be lovely if the upkeep of it was maintained and the rooms were cleaned properly. As a result , I don’t think I would be inclined to stay here again.

Overall a pretty good experience. Room a little noisy, seals around windows need replaced. As we were main road side of hotel traffic noise from N60 was quite intrusive. Staff generally friendly although more attentive reception staff would have made a big difference ( with exception of bin in bathroom not being emptied prior to letting room) , other than that very clean accommodation and great location.

Nice hotel with plenty of shops and pubs etc in walking distance. Staff were all polite and helpful. Large free car park and easy access to main roads. There was no in room fridge which would have been helpful. The only negative was the room service. The towels were swapped but not much else. Toilet roll and coffee not replaced. Used glasses left and not replaced, surfaces not wiped clean. On the whole an enjoyable stay and I would recommend.

Nice hotel, 2nd time here, would happily stay again. Very comfortable bed, spacious and quiet room, nice shower room. Room was a bit cold, even with radiator set to max. No individual room temperature control.

The room was a good size, clean, comfortable and pretty modern. The breakfast was good and not expensive. The staff were friendly, prompt etc. - all good there. Our room was round the back, with a great view of a full skip. It also backed onto the function room. There was a wedding on and there was (understandably) a lot of noise. We had to leave the window closed which wasn’t ideal. Early a.m. there were deliveries etc - unavoidable I suppose but woke us about 5:30am. Leisure facilities - we used the pool, hot tub and steam room. It’s decent enough but all needs an refresh. Changing facilities just ok. No more. We went to bar for a snack and one drink after the pool. Quite a few people in relaxing quietly. There was a group of what I’d say were traveller folk making a lot of noise - hard drinking, taking the place over and being a nuisance - very hard to relax. Something should have been said to them by management - people were trying to eat and relax over a couple of drinks - but nothing was said - in fact I don’t think there was too much management in evidence - possibly keeping the head down. Another note. There are permanent residents at the hotel - they keep a low profile and all seems fine. But just noting it.

Hotel was fine, only issue was that WiFi kept dropping. I had to cancel a work call as I was unable to continue due to WiFi, it was ok when it worked but kept dropping randomly.

Another large-ish, and quite standard Irish hotel, of which there are many scattered around the country. As far as the room decor is concerned, this one is a cut above, with a stylish and spacious layout, well maintained. Recommended if you're flying out of Knock in the early hours. Unfortunately suffers from IHMS (Irish Hotel Menu Syndrome). Very standard menu choices, and very average food, cooked (or should I say prepared) with very little flair. You may see this a lot in my reviews, as I'm in Ireland usually a couple of times a month. Just do something a little different, with a little flair. Cook on site and don't buy in desserts, please.

This hotel has loads of potential but unfortunately the hygiene of it isn’t up to standards .I recently stayed here and when I checked into my room , the toilet hadn’t been cleaned and there was used toilet roll left on the floor along with dirty towels and an empty can of alcohol left by the sink.I told reception about it who were lovely and extremely apologetic and upgraded me to another room .However this wasn’t much better , the remote control and telephone in the room were filthy, the bed side locker had stains on it , the carpet had stains, the spoons left for tea/coffee were dirty and water was left in the kettle from the previous guest. These are simple basic things that should be cleaned in all rooms on a regular basis.The hotel would be lovely if the upkeep of it was maintained and the rooms were cleaned properly. As a result , I don’t think I would be inclined to stay here again.

Staff generally friendly although more attentive reception staff would have made a big difference ( with exception of bin in bathroom not being emptied prior to letting room) , other than that very clean accommodation and great location.

Confirmed by phone & email that we had a king bed in both rooms. Got to the room & it was a Queen bed. Front desk did not know anything. Very disappointed.

Amenities within the hotel very good however room felt dated (Room 15) - Arrived to lack of a single bed which was quickly resolved by the staff. Major problem with our stay was due to noise from corridors and a-joining rooms disturbing our sleep - group of teenagers who were happy to roam the corridors and knock on doors disturbing everybody was not dealt with by hotel team even though corridor was adjacent to reception. Felt like a date yet expensive Travelodge.

Stayed here for one night when we climbed Croagh Patrick. Beautiful evening meal & breakfast - tasty, delicious. Swam in pool, sauna & steam room 👍. We walked into town that evening - 7 mins. Enjoyed our stay 10/10👌

Comfortable hotel with very friendly staff. Good food and great breakfast. Not cheap but nothing is these days so it was reasonable value for money. Very well located for travelling around the west of Ireland. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel with great staff. The rooms are very comfortable with lovely decor and The Handmade Soap Company toiletries are fabulous. Great breakfast and good dinners served in the restaurant. Great location, handy for Knock airport, Knock Shrine, Ballintubber Abbey and good road networks.

When I arrived, the television did not work it took a little bit for the manager to come to figure it out and when I was leaving it still didn't work it only worked for a short period of time. Also, I was supposed to have breakfast at 7 AM today I was checking out and I got down at 7:12 and they weren't set up yet. . Hotel it was all bit noisy with all the children. They have people staying there that are not official guest, which makes it a little bit challenging. The fitness center is great, but it's also open to the public keep in mind the room they gave me was facing the street. It was Not noisy, the beds were comfortable room was clean staff at the front desk were helpful and at the restaurant even more on top of it. Very convenient location and easy Parking . Also, you could walk everywhere. I want to check in and leave the car back at the hotel.

We stayed here for its proximity to Knock. It had a good breakfast and the hotel staff was friendly. There was quite a character in the lobby prepared to chat me up all night, but he added to the charm.

Very poor food service in the bar area although the food was good. Nice swimming pool with a lane sectioned off to enable a decent swim. Bathroom needs a good clean. Bed very uncomfortable.

Rooms staff amenities etc were average to good. Receptionist from turkey was lovely and helpful never got her name. Food was average except one meal on our 3 night stay. We both had the beef roast, mine was ok but my wife’s beef was just all gristle and inedible. When we politely said something we still had to pay

Hotel very clean. Disappointed that I was unable to have dinner in the bar. It was closed for renovations and I found the function room uncomfortable and lacking in privacy during my dinnertime. I would have appreciated notice of the renovations prior to check-in time.

Another large-ish, and quite standard Irish hotel, of which there are many scattered around the country. As far as the room decor is concerned, this one is a cut above, with a stylish and spacious layout, well maintained. Recommended if you're flying out of Knock in the early hours. Unfortunately suffers from IHMS (Irish Hotel Menu Syndrome). Very standard menu choices, and very average food, cooked (or should I say prepared) with very little flair. You may see this a lot in my reviews, as I'm in Ireland usually a couple of times a month. Just do something a little different, with a little flair. Cook on site and don't buy in desserts, please.

The temperature of the pool was too cold as was the sauna. There was no body wash in the showers which you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Also the showers were cold in the evening but they were hot in the morning. We didn't have a good breakfast experience either. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table as it was very busy. However all the fruit was gone.and the bread and fruit juice. When our breakfasts eventually arrived some items were missing. Disappoiywith this supposedly 4 star hotel.

We picked this hotel due to the swimming pool for the kids. Went to go in and had to buy swimming hats! €5 each for what they were, cloth hats, i think is expensive. Tiny, dated, communal changing rooms in rough enough condition with a pool which seemed to be open to the public, is not suitable for kids to be changing in, lockers where you need to bring your own lock (who travels with a padlock). Pool was cold. Apart from the leasure centre part of the hotel, it was clean and tidy, rooms were comfortable.

Food in hotel was deplorable. Ordered the turkey dinner, received a microwave meal. Dinner consisted of a small blob of lukewarm potatoes in the middle of a plate topped with a couple of thin slices of what was alleged to be turkey, this was topped with a watery gravy. This WAS NOT a freshly prepared turkey diner and had obviously been a pre-made bulk purchase only requing to be microwaved prior to service. Our food was served within about 5 minutes after ordering it and was a solitary blob in the middle of the plate. The bar was completely understaffed, servers and bar staff were flustered and unable to keep up with demand. They were untidy, unfriendly and wearing clothing which looked worn and had not been ironed. After a very long wait plates were removed and we decided to try desert, unfortunately this was a mistake. We ordered sticky toffee pudding and what we were served resembled a small pastry in the middle of a plate which was cold tasted stale and topped with cold toffee sauce, it was completely inedible and was not touched. Staff completely ignored our table and it was so obvious it was because our food had not been touched. After a very long wait one of the servers lifted our untouched deserts and asked if we enjoyed the meal??? When we said the food was inedible she made no reply other than a nervous laugh and left us without even attempting to offer an explanation. Cooked breakfast the following morning fared no better and again was not eaten. WILL NOT BE BACK!!
