We stayed in the new family bedroom with a bunk bed. Needless to say my kids were delighted. Room furnished to a very high quality. We also really enjoyed the pool. Staff were excellent. Will definitely come back

An excellent hotel with generous and comfortable rooms. The food was delicious, the standard of service was very good and the gym was very well equipped. The hotel was also well placed for access to the town and we enjoyed a thoroughly pleasant walk around Birr.

From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out the staff couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were very big and lovely comfortable beds, big bathroom with lovely complimentary toiletries. We visited the spa which was lovely and clean and lots of facilities all of which we were able to use. Again the staff in the spa were fabulous and very attentive. We ate in the bar at night and found the food excellent value for money and very nice. Portion sizes were very good too. Breakfast in the morning was lovely with plenty of choice from the hot buffet plus you could order other items e.g smashed advacado, poached eggs etc. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would definitely return hopefully soon.

Lovely hotel, Mary in reception made us very welcome. Room was spacious, clean and serviced each day, comfortable bed. Excellent choice of breakfast and staff were very helpful. The walled garden and grounds are really beautiful with a hexagonal outdoor room to sit in and read or relax. A short walk into the town and a gorgeous walk along the Camcor riverbank. The incredible Birr library is nearby and not to be missed. Birr Castle tour was very enjoyable and the grounds and Science museum are wonderful. We loved Birr so much it’s our 2nd stay in three months.

We had a lovely stay - staff were friendly, room was gorgeous with a super comfy bed and great water pressure in the shower. Also loved the Rituals cosmetics in the bathroom. Food from the bar was delicious and incredibly good value for money - just be mindful the 'formal restaurant' is only open on some evenings. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding - best I've ever had in a hotel I think. Swimming pool, steam room and sauna were lovely to use in the morning before leaving.

This place was beyond our expectations, the reception desk was so friendly and accommodating. The restaurants had excellent food and service. The hotel rooms were gorgeous. The bed was so comfortable. The rooms dont have air conditioning but they were still comfortable. The gardens on the property are beautoful!

The room was fantastic but the heat in room was unbearable no heating on windows opened out fully very hard to get to sleep with the heat in room no wifi on arrival was told i had not paid my full bill which i had prove i had paid in full no apology given first time here dont think i will be back

The bedroom exceeded expectations. Very comfy and quiet. Visited the science museum nearby, which was the reason for staying at Burr. The hotel was the icing on the cake. Unfortunately too tired to try the pool.

This was a fantastic property to stay and well-priced for what it offers! The lady who works in the dining room for breakfast was so lovely and kind. The staff overall was very friendly. The room was comfortable and big. I will stay here again!

Staff was exceptional really welcomed us and made it enjoyable. I asked for a glass of ice they brought me a bucket of ice and that’s the kind of service we received from everyone we met there. Will definitely be back.

The bedroom exceeded expectations. Very comfy and quiet. Visited the science museum nearby, which was the reason for staying at Burr. The hotel was the icing on the cake. Unfortunately too tired to try the pool.

The walled garden and grounds are really beautiful with a hexagonal outdoor room to sit in and read or relax. A short walk into the town and a gorgeous walk along the Camcor riverbank. The incredible Birr library is nearby and not to be missed. Birr Castle tour was very enjoyable and the grounds and Science museum are wonderful. We loved Birr so much it’s our 2nd stay in three months.

This place was beyond our expectations, the reception desk was so friendly and accommodating. The restaurants had excellent food and service. The hotel rooms were gorgeous. The bed was so comfortable. The rooms dont have air conditioning but they were still comfortable. The gardens on the property are beautoful!

An excellent hotel with generous and comfortable rooms. The food was delicious, the standard of service was very good and the gym was very well equipped. The hotel was also well placed for access to the town and we enjoyed a thoroughly pleasant walk around Birr.

From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out the staff couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were very big and lovely comfortable beds, big bathroom with lovely complimentary toiletries. We visited the spa which was lovely and clean and lots of facilities all of which we were able to use. Again the staff in the spa were fabulous and very attentive. We ate in the bar at night and found the food excellent value for money and very nice. Portion sizes were very good too. Breakfast in the morning was lovely with plenty of choice from the hot buffet plus you could order other items e.g smashed advacado, poached eggs etc. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would definitely return hopefully soon.

Lovely hotel, Mary in reception made us very welcome. Room was spacious, clean and serviced each day, comfortable bed. Excellent choice of breakfast and staff were very helpful. Bar food was good too. Enjoyed a swim at the Spa. Overall it was a lovely stay and would happily stay there again and recommend to others.

Beautifully appointed hotel, lovely gardens and spacious public areas. Very good restaurants serving mostly local ingredients and with excellent service. Highly recommend this location.

Lovely hotel welcoming and efficient staff. Good freshly cooked breakfast, and bar menu, comfortable beds. Lovely pool and spa. Convenient to visit surrounding areas. 2nd time of visiting this hotel would highly recommend it

We had a lovely stay - staff were friendly, room was gorgeous with a super comfy bed and great water pressure in the shower. Also loved the Rituals cosmetics in the bathroom. Food from the bar was delicious and incredibly good value for money - just be mindful the 'formal restaurant' is only open on some evenings. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding - best I've ever had in a hotel I think. Swimming pool, steam room and sauna were lovely to use in the morning before leaving.

Os funcionarios da recepção foram maravilhosos, mas a manager do restaurante foi muito rude quando pedimos uma mesa mais aconchegante. Não voltaria lá. Mas definivamente recomendo o hotel, foi tudo perfeito, todos os funcionarios foram muito atenciosos e educados

We were a bit disappointed the hotels photos look fantastic and in fairness the gardens were superb but overall the property needs a bit of TLC. The staff were very mixed the waitress in the restaurant was super along with the different receptionists we engaged with, but the bar staff really didn't seem to care very much at all. The leisure centre wasn't very well policed as young children just jumped in and out of the jacuzzi as pleased without the staff paying any attention, the door to the sauna was missing some screws. The rooms could do with A/C, larger double beds and possibly some lights above the vanity mirror, but overall were clean and tidy. The location was very good and convenient for everything Birr has to offer.

The hotel staff was understanding and supportive while dealt with missing luggage for four days. Helped me find places to shop and offered suggestions to help ease the stress. We were there for 8 nights and the staff was amazing from the first.
