We stayed in a family room on the 3rd floor for two nights. Every morning started before 7am because the automated shutting mechanism on the door to the stairwell was insanely hard, and every opening of that door resulted in such a hard slam that it kept waking us up. The pull out bed even vibrated with the slam. Don't plan to sleep beyond 7am; I'm not joking; it's not possible. The room itself was serviceable, but clearly old. Scuffs on the uneven floor, and the pull out bed was terrible to sleep on. The TV was mounted over the sofa before it was pulled out, so.. you can't actually see it from the sofa. Oh well. The worst part was the lack of lighting in the room; so dark we had to use flashlights on our phones throughout the stay. Just two single spotlights in the ceiling, and three small table lights. The breakfast was advertised as healthy and amazing, and it was the most mid experience we've had. Also, severely overcrowded, and we had to wait for refills of eggs for 20 minutes. The bacon was barely cooked and the sausages were cold. A decent selection of bread, and that we could squeeze our own orange juice was a plus, but not really refreshing when all the oranges were warm and not chilled. Mmm.. room-temperature orange juice! We only picked this hotel because it was reasonably priced and not too far away (30 minutes) from a convention we were attending. We will never be staying here again.
