Old Quirky Hotel! Location is within a long walking distance down several steps to the Eiffel Tower and other attractions. There is not much around the hotel and it is hidden down a very dark street. Our room and bath were very small which is not unusual, the lift was interesting floors were 1 1/2, 2 1/2 because you had to drag your luggage up a set of steps to reach the actual floor! At check-in Dan the clerk told us about the fee for breakfast, but the coffee was free. However, at checkout the clerk charged us $40 for coffee stating that Dan was not around got very agitated and demanded we pay the fee. Overall, I was not pleased with the accommodations and would not recommend this hotel.

部屋は清潔で、必要なものは揃っていた。冷蔵庫ありは嬉しい。部屋の鍵の開け閉めが結構難しかった。エレベーターもあるが日本にはないタイプなので最初戸惑った。総合的には満足しているのでまた泊まりたい。

The single room is so an average. Specially the WC wasn’t for human. The space was so extremely narrow that I was afraid to stay inside there The building is magnificent and the reception staff too, but next time I will book double room.

I had an overnight stay from London to Paris. The hotel was clean, cute and in a decent location. It was tiny though. Really tiny! If you are from the U.S., prepared to be surprised. The elevator only holds two skinny ppl and no suitcases. It’s tiny. The bathrooms are very small but when you understand Paris, you understand the spacing. They had wifi and ac. Wifi was patchy sometimes but worked most of the time. Staff was super courteous! Breakfast was good. They had eggs (scrambled, sunny side up, and boiled), sausage, bacon, bread all sorts, cheeses, fruits, yogurts….. it was good. Bed was super comfortable. It was clean. We could not see the Eiffel Tower from where we where but it was within walking distance. Restaurants and in walking distance too. Overall it was a good experience.

Great location within 10 minutes walk of Eiffel Tower, in side street off main Passy road. We stayed in a family room which were two interconnected rooms with one double bed and two singles. The beds were extremely comfortable. Each room had their own small en-suite bathroom. The hotel would have received an excellent rating if we had stayed immediately after it had been furnished. However, in some areas it is now looking a little bit worn. Breakfast was a self serve buffet including some egg & bacon, yoghurts, meats, cheese, crusty bread, pastries and cereals together with a selection of juices & tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Front desk staff was exactly what I expected from a Parisian hotel. The Eiffel Tower is within minutes walking distance. A bakery with 10 treats and a beautiful produce store right down the street. My room was immaculate. A perfect hotel for my first trip to Paris. I will be staying here for all my visits.

Lovely and clean hotel at a great location. The bathroom was very small but manageable. We were in the Trianon room and had a surprise view of the top of the Eiffel Tower. Cute! Had to ask the team to do housekeeping as they hadn’t done it on the first night.

We especially liked the location of the Hotel Gavarni. Our friends live near Trocadero, so we were only a 10-minute walk away from their apartment as well as the square with the best Eiffel Tower view in the city. We also very much liked the Passy neighborhood where the Hotel Gavarni is located. A nice family-friendly walkable neighborhood loaded with the small eateries and bakeries that we were looking for. It was also just a short walk from the Passy metro station, which was our main method of getting around the city. And even more important, our room and the hotel in general were always kept clean. And the staff was always helpful in recommending local businesses we were looking for (shopping, etc.), in addition to giving us advice on how to navigate the city via the Metro. If we ever return to Paris, we will definitely consider staying at the Hotel Gavarni again.

This hotel is in a nice location near the Eiffel Tower. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. However, the room was very small and cramped. The bathroom was so tiny it could only fit one person at a time. We loved the city and had a wonderful time exploring it from here.

Un accueil des plus chaleureux. J'ai ete surpris de la gentillesse sincère du personnel (ce n'est pas uniquement parceque c'est leur travail, mais naturel ça se sent). Puis leur disponibilité (H24 le top) qui vient s'ajouter à une tranquillité arrivée dans la chambre malgré le mouvement de l'extérieur (je suis venue via la final de foot que l'on a gagné donc...)... En fait si je dois revenir c'est simple, ça sera dans cet hôtel et aucun autre.

Old Quirky Hotel! Location is within a long walking distance down several steps to the Eiffel Tower and other attractions. There is not much around the hotel and it is hidden down a very dark street. Our room and bath were very small which is not unusual, the lift was interesting floors were 1 1/2, 2 1/2 because you had to drag your luggage up a set of steps to reach the actual floor! At check-in Dan the clerk told us about the fee for breakfast, but the coffee was free. However, at checkout the clerk charged us $40 for coffee stating that Dan was not around got very agitated and demanded we pay the fee. Overall, I was not pleased with the accommodations and would not recommend this hotel.

Left our cruise in La Havre and took the train to St. Lazare station in Paris. A quick taxi ride to Rue Gavarni to drop our luggage at this Lovely little hotel in Paris. We booked the simplest of their rooms and it was perfect for two nights. Although it was small we planned to be out in the city and really only slept in the room. The two twin accommodation was comfy and the window opened to the back courtyard which allowed a breeze into the room. We left it open at night and it was quiet. The morning breakfast was way more than we expected and had all the nice things you hope for in France. Croissant, cheese, espresso, coffee, tea, and also the things people from the US like. Fresh fruit, eggs, toast, granola and yogurt etc. It is walking distance to the metro, river, Eiffel Tower, shopping restaurants and more. They also arranged a driver for our ride to the airport with our huge luggage. Hats off to the staff of Hotel Gavarni!! Thank you for your hospitality.

Hotel staff was very helpful with everything we needed. Breakfast was a joy each morning. The lady in charge of breakfast is so kind. All the staff was very kind. Large room with view of tower.

This was our favorite hotel of the trip. Small, clean, great staff, beautifully appointed, everything you’d expect to see in a small Paris hotel, it was charming. Also, incredibly convenient, we walked everywhere from there. The Trocadero to view the Eiffel Tower was about a fifteen minute walk away. We also walked to the Arc du Triomphe, took about thirty five minutes. The front staff were super helpful, booked taxis to the Palace of Versailles and airport and lent us umbrellas as needed. One feature that takes you back to the old days is that you leave your room at the reception desk when you leave the hotel. As said before, we found it a totally charming hotel and would definitely stay there again.

We had a beautiful stay here and can’t wait to come back. It was a perfect location, walkable to the Eiffel Tower as well as close to one of the stops for the hop on off bus. When we arrived June 8th the receptionist was unfriendly unhelpful and rude. We had no idea where our room was located and her response was a grunt. There was no towels in room but that was corrected when we returned from walk, At first glance I thought we would not be back however the other staff members were excellent.

Great location within 10 minutes walk of Eiffel Tower, in side street off main Passy road. We stayed in a family room which were two interconnected rooms with one double bed and two singles. The beds were extremely comfortable. Each room had their own small en-suite bathroom. The hotel would have received an excellent rating if we had stayed immediately after it had been furnished. However, in some areas it is now looking a little bit worn. Breakfast was a self serve buffet including some egg & bacon, yoghurts, meats, cheese, crusty bread, pastries and cereals together with a selection of juices & tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Perfect for either a family with young or teenage children or two couples. Hotel was very welcoming and all staff happily spoke to us in English.

Foi incrível minha estadia no Hotel, desde a chegada até a saída, atendimento na Recepção estão de Parabéns, limpeza no quarto e atendimento no Café da manhã, aliás café da manhã bem completo. Super recomendo.

I had an overnight stay from London to Paris. The hotel was clean, cute and in a decent location. It was tiny though. Really tiny! If you are from the U.S., prepared to be surprised. The elevator only holds two skinny ppl and no suitcases. It’s tiny. The bathrooms are very small but when you understand Paris, you understand the spacing. They had wifi and ac. Wifi was patchy sometimes but worked most of the time. Staff was super courteous! Breakfast was good. They had eggs (scrambled, sunny side up, and boiled), sausage, bacon, bread all sorts, cheeses, fruits, yogurts….. it was good. Bed was super comfortable. It was clean. We could not see the Eiffel Tower from where we where but it was within walking distance. Restaurants and in walking distance too. Overall it was a good experience.

Petit hôtel typiquement Paris, un peu vieillot, un peu exigu (surtout les chambres standards). J’y vais régulièrement car j’aime bien l’ambiance décontracté, le calme, le quartier. Et jolie promenade Parisienne matinale pour rejoindre mon lieu de réunion.

My stay was wonderful. Beautiful hotel. Love the old fashion feel. The staff was very helpful. There is a cafe around the corner that has yummy croissants and Americano coffee. It is a short walk to the Eiffel Tower. Quiet area. In contact with them about a double charge of city tax. I was told a credit was issued but it has not shown up on my credit card yet. I will give them a week and if I don’t receive a refund I will take it up with my bank. I would recommend the hotel if you are looking for a quieter visit.

For what we paid this property was nothing special. Our room was not ready by the check in time. The property is clean and the staff friendly enough. But we spent twice as much to stay here than our other Paris stay and I did not feel it was worth it. We were still on the sixth floor with no view.
