My wife and I recently had a 4 night stay at the Hotel Marais Bastille. It was a very pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable and we loved how the window opened to the street so we could let a nice breeze flow through the room. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped. The closet had a small fridge and a safe. The common area of the hotel was small and quaint. It’s not a big or busy hotel and you are off seeing the city most of the time so you don’t need all the frills anyway. We opted for the breakfast each day and we were glad to have done so. It had breads, croissants, scrambled eggs, pastries, fruits, jams, yogurts etc and all were delicious, especially the coffee!! The staff was friendly as well. This made for a great home base and the area was central. The metro is across the street and is a great way to get around the city quickly. All in all it was a great stay and we were happy with our choice

We had a very bad experience during our stay. We got stuck in the elevator for a few minutes and when we rang for help, the hotel staff spoke French and the anxiety of not being able to understand was scary my husband had to pry the doors open and the staff showed zero urgency or concern. Despite clearly explaining the situation, they offered no assistance, no compensation and didn’t even bother to check in afterward. Being trapped in an elevator is a safety issue, and the complete lack of response from the staff was unacceptable. Emergencies can happen, but how a hotel handles them is what matters — and in this case, they failed.

Had a great time at Hotel Marais Bastille! Room was clean and lobby was nice. Staff and front desk was so nice and helpful, always. Location was perfect, as its walking distance from the le marais and bastille area. Lots of cafes and shopping to do. Very near 3 different train stations. Bus stop nearby. I'd stay here again!

What a wonderful surprise in the 11th arrondissement Paris. Beautiful lobby / sitting area. Rooms were well appointed and spacious. Large bathroom. Chair and small desk in your room as well. Excellent breakfast as well. 15 minute walk to the Marais.

We got stuck in the elevator which clearly states holds 5 ppl we were 4 ppl. The rude manager didn’t even offer us a coffee for what we went through. She kept saying it’s not our fault. She said this happened last Friday as well. Obviously there’s a problem with it. Overall never going back for reasons of the awful customer service. She was extremely rude.

We stayed five nights in December and absolutely loved this place. It was warm and welcoming after long days of sightseeing around Paris and the perfect combination of not too tourist-y location and convenience (metro station across the street and an easy walk to the 3rd and 4th).) We enjoyed wandering the large Sunday market right outside. Everything was spotless and our room was serviced every day (a welcome surprise after all the Covid related changes in US hotels these days.) All the staff were so friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. They were even good sports about letting me practice my very bad French! We were pleasantly surprised when we checked in to learn that our reservation included daily breakfast and the food and service were lovely on the two days we took advantage of it. The only thing that gave us pause during our entire stay was the toilet in room 64- there is only about 12 inches from the front of the toilet to the wall in the minuscule water closet! We would absolutely recommend this hotel and are already dreaming of a return trip. Thank you for everything, Hotel Marais Bastille!

Habitaciones limpias y cama cómoda, a partir de ahí, todo está al límite de lo aceptable, el tamaño de la habitación es muy ajustado y el baño muy pequeño, los acabados se notan ya desgastados, con golpes y algunos desperfectos, humedades en el techo del baño y en el aplique de la ducha. Uno de los días se olvidaron de limpiar la habitación. Nada grave, cumple su función con creces pero no hace de tu estancia una experiencia inolvidable como en otros establecimientos en los que he estado por un precio más bajo.

Staff were helpful and friendly! Nice entrance and hotel is staffed 24/7. Easily accessible to multiple metro stations. Our room definitely needs updating in terms of wall paper and obvious water damage to the walls and baseboards. They kindly replaced the safe which wasn’t working. They kindly fixed the shower issue. The bed was very comfortable. Can be noisy during the day with the windows open but we slept very well with the ear plugs provided. Excellent boulangeries nearby. We enjoyed discovering the Bastille area.

Bed very comfortable; beautiful new curtains. Great location: 2 bus options from Gare du Nord (91 better than 56) 69 bus near hotel gets you to Chatelet etc Walking distance of Marais. Several supermarches close by and near to Rue Sedaine for a famous cat cafe (do not go Monday: 'repos des chats')

The hotel is pleasant, clean and comfortable. We really liked our room which, facing on to the courtyard, was nice and quiet. It is in a great location and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Having read the reviews before booking, and having looked at the hotel's website and photographs, I was excited to book this hotel to stay with my teenage daughter for her first trip to Paris. Upon arrival, we were given the keys to the smallest, darkest hotel room I have ever stayed in (and I've travelled quite a lot). The view from the bedroom window was just a filthy wall and there was no natural light at all. I strongly considered moving hotels. But I asked whether there were any other rooms available, and was pleased to be able to move to a much larger, lighter room for the second two nights. The staff were efficient and helpful. Good location. But this certainly is not the boutique hotel which it purports to be. I wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't return.

Great location being right next to a Metro stop and the Marais area. I was traveling alone and felt very safe. Stayed on top floor with a cute little balcony and could see Bastille right down street and even the top of the Eiffel Tower. Staff was very friendly.

Being trapped in an elevator is a safety issue, and the complete lack of response from the staff was unacceptable. We had a very bad experience during our stay. We got stuck in the elevator for a few minutes and when we rang for help, the hotel staff spoke French and the anxiety of not being able to understand was scary my husband had to pry the doors open and the staff showed zero urgency or concern. Despite clearly explaining the situation, they offered no assistance, no compensation and didn’t even bother to check in afterward. Great location, pretty good room. It’s probably worth it spending a bit extra on an upgraded room in the hope you’ll get an actual window and a view. Also my big pet peeve in Paris is having to drop off the card key every time we head out. It doesn’t make sense and it doesn’t feel safe at all as “anyone” can just come and ask for the key to said room. I want my key, and I want one for hubby too and I really don’t want to return it until I check out.

Had a great time at Hotel Marais Bastille! Room was clean and lobby was nice. Staff and front desk was so nice and helpful, always. Location was perfect, as its walking distance from the le marais and bastille area. Lots of cafes and shopping to do. Very near 3 different train stations. Bus stop nearby. I'd stay here again!

We got stuck in the elevator which clearly states holds 5 ppl we were 4 ppl. The rude manager didn’t even offer us a coffee for what we went through. She kept saying it’s not our fault. She said this happened last Friday as well. Obviously there’s a problem with it. Overall never going back for reasons of the awful customer service. She was extremely rude.

My wife and I recently had a 4 night stay at the Hotel Marais Bastille. It was a very pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable and we loved how the window opened to the street so we could let a nice breeze flow through the room. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped. The closet had a small fridge and a safe. The common area of the hotel was small and quaint. It’s not a big or busy hotel and you are off seeing the city most of the time so you don’t need all the frills anyway. We opted for the breakfast each day and we were glad to have done so. It had breads, croissants, scrambled eggs, pastries, fruits, jams, yogurts etc and all were delicious, especially the coffee!! The staff was friendly as well. This made for a great home base and the area was central. The metro is across the street and is a great way to get around the city quickly. All in all it was a great stay and we were happy with our choice

Overall it was a decent place to stay. Room was a little on the smaller side but served it’s purpose. Was a little further away from major tourist spots than I would like it to be but easy access to the rail system. My biggest disappointment was that our travel via the Eurostar from London was cancelled at the last minute due to strikes in France. Something that was completely out of our hands but we still had to pay for the 2 nights we planned on even though we only stayed for 1. They wouldn’t even have a conversation about it.

Lovely hotel! Great location, close to lots of cafes and a few metro stations. We were on the first floor facing the street and I worried it might be noisy but even over the weekend it was quiet. Loved the neighborhood too, not too touristy but close to city center too. Would absolutely stay again.

Short business stay in Bastile, and this hotel was a great little find. Ideally located near the metro, and only a few minutes from the event I was attending. Hotel was very clean, nice bedrooms and very clean. Breakfast was sparse for the cost, however, there are plenty of great little cafes within a minute or two’s walk.

What a wonderful surprise in the 11th arrondissement Paris. Beautiful lobby / sitting area. Rooms were well appointed and spacious. Large bathroom. Chair and small desk in your room as well. Excellent breakfast as well. 15 minute walk to the Marais.

We travelled from the UK by euro tunnel. Fantastic quaint hotel considering only 3 stars! Easy to find with a great surrounding area with many restaurants/bars and the metro within walking distance. The room was clean, well equipped with a spacious bathroom and the small balcony was great for fresh air and views. Read a lot of reviews about it being noisy in the rooms but we didn’t find this problem arise at all! We paid extra for the breakfast which was a small buffet but with plenty of option and everything you needed to start your day. Friendly and welcoming staff overall a fantastic stay! Alessandra was very helpful and pleasant to check us in and throughout our stay. Upon checking into our room the bathroom was spacious with two sinks. The shower/tub was very slippery and did not have any grab bars. A bathrobe, two sets of slippers, a glass water bottle, a tote bag, and a snack were provided upon check in. Instant coffee was available in the room. There are no laundry facilities within the hotel. You have to walk 3 to 5 minutes to get to one of two laundromats nearby. There was air conditioning! A continental and/or a full breakfast are provided for an extra fee. The area for the breakfast is very small and the lobby sitting area is very small. This hotel is suited more for couples traveling vs. families with children.
