We really enjoyed our stay! So relaxing and peaceful. The house was perfect! Spacious and super clean! Loved being right next to the river! We drove over to raystown lake to fish with the kids. This was super fun and the most beautiful views. A great mini vaca

Had a wonderful stay at this immaculately maintained property. Enjoyed the beautiful river view and taking walks on the quiet country road. Rainy day? No worries, grab a book and a cup of tea, and make yourself comfortable on the screened in porch. This house had everything we needed. Just bring your clothes and a good book, and you’re all set. Oh, and a fishing rod!

This place was more than expected. The location and access to the Little Juniata river for fly fishing was awesome! The fireplace was the biggest highlight of the cabin; sitting around telling fish stories from the day past. I would highly recommend this wonderful place.

The River House was just wonderful. The location on the Little Juniata River made it perfect for fishing, floating, and kayaking. There is a long shaded lawn by the river that allowed us to play with the dogs, and the private location ensured that we didn’t bother anyone. The house is beautiful and beautifully decorated, and well supplied with everything we might need. There are great outdoor spaces for eating, hanging out, and sitting by the fire. Everyone said this was the best trip ever. We'll be back!

If you are looking for a serene place to fish the Little Juniata River, or to simply enjoy the beautiful country views, Aaron's well appointed, remodeled property does not disappoint. My husband and I cooked our breakfasts and dinners there, enjoyed a wood burning fire in the evenings, did a little fishing, watched the trains come and go, and generally relaxed during the weekend we visited. Aaron is super fast at communication and answered all our questions before and during our stay. Check in/check out was simple too. We would not hesitate to stay here if we are in the area again. Thank you Aaron for a wonderful weekend.

I can't say enough positive things about the River House. It was exactly as advertised. It was perfect for the Penn State game weekend. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and the place was super clean. It was very relaxing to sit on the adirondack chairs by the chairs!

Great property on river bank. Lovely yard right down to river. Nice fire pit and gas grill for cooking. Very private as no close neighbors or roads. Wood burning fire place was great place to relax as was cold rain/sleet outside. Beds very comfortable.

This is a beautiful house with an ideal location for outdoor activities: kayaking, fishing, hiking, lots of room for six indoors and out. We loved sitting around the fire pit by the waters edge. Highly recommend!

It was delightful. The house is roomy and well laid out. I love all the windows and the screened porch. We made use of the grill and the fire pit. Wonderful to sit out under the stars and have the sound of the running water from the Little Juniata. Very peaceful location. Would definitely stay there if in that area again.

The perfect place for a long weekend! This is our family’s second stay at this beautiful cabin & we are already checking our calendars for a visit in the near future. The cabin is spotless & the location is wonderful. Such a peaceful & relaxing getaway!

This was our second visit here and it was as wonderful as the first time. My parents stayed with us this time and admittedly my mom is a clean freak … and she loved her stay! She felt right at home! While the smoke from the Canadian wild fires impacting our time fishing, we still had a great time spending time together with a beautiful home and view of the river! Its a perfect meeting spot between my parents in Ohio and us in DC. Thanks again!!

This home, and its surroundings, are absolutely beautiful.You can tell the hosts really love this place and it shows.There is not one thing we could complain about.The home was exceptionally clean and had everything you could possibly want. It was so relaxing, listening to the sounds of the water and all the birds. Our pup had a blast swimming and running around. Another thing that we really liked was you feel like you are out and secluded, but going for groceries and restaurants, were maybe 15 minutes away, it was so convenient.We highly recommend the Little Juniata River House, you will not be disappointed!

We stayed at the Little Juniata River house for an our daughter’s graduation from PSU and would certainly stay here again if we’re visiting State College, Huntingdon, or Raystown Lake. The owners were very responsive and the house is exactly as advertised - very clean, spacious, well furnished, and just a perfect setting along the river.

This home was a wonderful respite for our family, who are avid fishers and hikers. It was as described, and better, and our host was very helpful in suggestions around the area. The personal touches were noticeable, we felt as if we were in our own home.

We have stayed here before and have loved it both times. This property is well maintained, nicely furnished and the kitchen is superbly equipped. You will not find a better fishing location with excellent access to State College. You dont need to bring a thing as rhe owners provide everything!

We had a wonderful time here, the house is very spacious and sitting on the deck listening to the river was so relaxing. We even saw a doe drinking from the river one morning. It was so nice that each room had its own full bathroom. We would definitely stay again!

The house and property were even more beautiful than the pictures. We stayed for a long graduation weekend at PSU, and really enjoyed the calm, peaceful atmosphere and great scenery. The drive back and forth to State College was very easy. Would gladly stay at this property again!

This is our second trip to The River House and it was as wonderful as the first. The house is just lovely, with everything you could hope for to get away from it all. My husband thoroughly enjoyed walking to the river each day to fish and I loved sitting on the deck with a good book and waiting for the call to come and take a picture of a fish on the line. Aaron and Tanya couldn't be more gracious hosts - thinking of all details including beautiful flowers throughout the house. We spent 10 days and are looking forward to our trip next year!

This was a lovely and comfortable place for us to stay! The house had everything you could need and more. The hosts were incredibly responsive and thoughtful. And loved the views and sounds of the river setting! We stayed here for our daughter's graduation from PSU. It was a good 35 minutes to campus but it was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle.

This property is fantastic, as are the hosts. My party has chosen this location (over many others) again and again for many years (at least 4 or 5) for its features, its amenities, and the hospitality of its hosts. My group is already planning next year's reunion, and our lodging choice is without question: Little J River House.

As soon as we drove up to Little Juniata Fish House, we could feel the calm of nature set the tone for our stay. The view of the river and trees from the house reinforced the serenity. The Fish House theme was artfully carried out in every room add the quality of the fixtures was first class. We had every amenity provided to support our annual family gathering and the exceptional cleanliness was very evident. Our host, Aaron, went to great lengths to make sure we had all we needed. Our stay ended too soon and we look forward to returning to the Little Juniata Fish House.
As soon as we drove up to Little Juniata Fish House, we could feel the calm of nature set the tone for our stay. The view of the river and trees from the house reinforced the serenity. The Fish House theme was artfully carried out in every room add the quality of the fixtures was first class. We had every amenity provided to support our annual family gathering and the exceptional cleanliness was very evident. Our host, Aaron, went to great lengths to make sure we had all we needed. Our stay ended too soon and we look forward to returning to the Little Juniata Fish House.

We really enjoyed our stay! So relaxing and peaceful. The house was perfect! Spacious and super clean! Loved being right next to the river! We drove over to raystown lake to fish with the kids. This was super fun and the most beautiful views. A great mini vaca

We had such a great, relaxing weekend at the Little Juniata River House. Most of our time was spent fishing right out the back door, which was such a treat. We came with no plans and no expectations, just the hope to relax—and we left feeling refreshed and recharged. We already are making plans for a return visit.

Our family enjoyed this cozy cabin with a spectacular view. It was clean and equipped with everything a family would need for a get away. Although not a short drive to Penn State - we would definitely chose to stay here again when visiting PSU.

We stayed at this house for a Penn State football weekend. We loved the place. It is not close to the stadium but the drive is easy. The house is beautiful amd the grounds along the river are spectacular. We saw a bald eagle flying along the Little J. Very clean. We will definitely be back, but this time just to hang out at the house and relax. If there is a game we will watch it on TV. This house is a 10 out of 10.

This is our third stay at this property and as usual it was perfect. There is so much to do locally, but it is always nice just to sit and enjoy this peaceful place on the Little Juniata.

The house and property were even more beautiful than the pictures. We stayed for a long graduation weekend at PSU, and really enjoyed the calm, peaceful atmosphere and great scenery. The drive back and forth to State College was very easy. Would gladly stay at this property again!

This is a beautiful house with an ideal location for outdoor activities: kayaking, fishing, hiking, lots of room for six indoors and out. We loved sitting around the fire pit by the waters edge. Highly recommend!

This home, and its surroundings, are absolutely beautiful.You can tell the hosts really love this place and it shows.There is not one thing we could complain about.The home was exceptionally clean and had everything you could possibly want. It was so relaxing, listening to the sounds of the water and all the birds. Our pup had a blast swimming and running around. Another thing that we really liked was you feel like you are out and secluded, but going for groceries and restaurants, were maybe 15 minutes away, it was so convenient.We highly recommend the Little Juniata River House, you will not be disappointed!

We had a wonderful weekend at this fly fishing house in Alexandria, PA. The location was peaceful, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for a low-key getaway. It was a great home base for fishing and relaxing, with plenty of space to spread out after being outside during the day. We had 6 adults and 2 large basset hounds. Six adults is hard as two end up in the twin beds ... but we survived, primarily because of the three full bathrooms!!The house had a cozy, welcoming feel and was well set up for a group. There are lots of fish-themed things, but not so many that it turns in to a gaudy rental ad! We especially appreciated having a comfortable place to unwind, cook, and enjoy the quiet. It felt private without being inconvenient, and the setting made the whole weekend feel easy. If you are not country people - you will notice the farm immediately across the road. Being central-PA born and raised, we didn't care! But others definitely will (cows, etc.). Everything was VERY clean and ready for us when we arrived, and the check-in/check-out process was straightforward. It’s a great spot for anyone looking for a quiet fishing weekend or a simple retreat near the water. We would definitely stay again.
