The Melrose

The property was clean and comfortable. The property management was quick and responsive with all details. The room was much smaller then appears in the photo but was fine for a weekend with a loved one.

We booked this property off of Expedia. The pictures were all fake. We arrived and the house smelled mildewy. The room was literally a walk in closet with a bathroom and a bed. Both of which were terrible. We did not have enough towels or soap. The flloor was so unstable and uneven. Worst accommodations ever. It was not worth the money we paid.

Got this for my 33 year old daughter but she did not stay once she stepped on the property.

Great communication with the hosts. Room on the 1st floor was just right for 2 people. We were there for a week so having a mini fridge was helpful. The little lounge at the entrance had a coffeemaker, microwave and water/ice dispenser, which we and many guests used. Bathroom was small but not a big deal. Lots of parking outside the house. Overall a great stay - we will definitely be back.

Easy walk to the beach and Asbury Park, lovely view of the lake. Comfortable mattress, good coffee, quiet, austere. We came to get some writing done and we were very happy at the Melrose.
