Overall a good stay at the Relais. We chose this hotel because we wanted to view Mont Saint Michel from our room. The view did not disappoint. The hotel does seem dated but we were told they were in the middle of renovations. We also arrived an hour early and they did not allow us to check in early. The hotel is located right next to a shuttle to Mont Saint Michel which was convenient.

Really spacious room with duplex, suitable for family. Unfortunately we couldn’t have dinner in the restaurant on that night as it had been booked for other event. We couldn’t enjoy the night view from restaurant but we could have breakfast to enjoy the beautiful view of Mont St Michel. However, the communication between hotel was terrible. Firstly, I received a email in French only talking about the access code of carpark. I requested for an English version but no response. I used Google Translate tried to get a brief idea & visited their official website to know more about parking issue, it came out totally different in reality. On the spot, the access code was denied, parking lot was not correct. I highly recommend those need parking have to confirm through the phone.

Hotel de incrivel localização, porem para acessar a rua do hotel há necessidade de ter um codigo para liberar a cancelada. Esse codigo nao foi enviado e nem sabiamos dessa necessidade antecipadamente. Tivemos problema de acesso.

The hotel needs an upgrade for sure. hallways were dirty and old. bathroom was moldy. the staff was really nice and it is very convenient if you are planning on visiting Mont St Michel. it is actually the last hotel before you get to MSM. there was a free trolly to take us there. FYI, I did not read the part that you need a code to access the hotel when driving. make sure you receive that code!

Tout était parfait. Le personnel était très agréable. Le petit déjeuner parfait dans ses propositions sucrées et salées. Le café crème au service bar est exquis. Nous avons adoré sa saveur, sa rondeur. Divin. La suite junior a été notre cocoon correspondant à nos attentes (taille de la chambre, fauteuils, canapé, mise à disposition d'une machine à café (nous avons pu réclamer des dosettes supplémentaires pour les grands buveurs de café que nous sommes). La vue sur la baie a terminé de nous conquérir. Un séjour parfait que nous pourrions parfaitement envisager de revivre. (La possibilité d'un parking sur place est un plus nettement appréciable)

The hotel is in a great location as close as you can get to Mont Saint Michelle. This also means there’s a confusing gate you have to go through that requires a passcode and ticket entry/departure. There’s also very little food options here so come prepared with dinner already eaten or take away. Each time we left the gated area in the 24 h window we were there we had to pay 6 euro fee! This was not disclosed by the hotel. Our room was large but considering the location we had an obstructed view of Mont Saint Michelle (ground floor room 3) which was disappointing since we had traveled so far to be there. The window for the room was also splattered with dirt/paint or bird droppings making visibility hard. The room lacked an iron but had a large soaking tub I enjoyed. And the breakfast has many offerings including scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes. My biggest complaint is the on site restaurant. We were starving and didn’t know there was no where else to eat near by. The restaurant didn’t start dinner service until 7 pm. I talked to the manager and they said we should call 10 min to 7 to put in a room service order. So we did and when I called they said they could not accommodate our order since they were really busy and it would be at least 1.5 hours for the kitchen to get to us. How are you already busy WHEN YOU HAVENT OPENED YET? I was furious! We ended up driving down the road to the next town and getting some hot kebabs.

The hotels staff is helpful and accommodating. The hotel is dinning area and some rooms offer wonderful views of Mont Saint Michel. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and had a spectacular view. There are bike and walking trails and a free shuttle to Mont Saint Michel. Parking is easy. However, be sure to bring your gate code for entrance to town. The breakfast is good and we had an excellent dinner at the restaurant.

Mir hat es alles gefallen. Nur eine sache,da ich kein Kode für weiter Fahrt zum Hotel Parkplatz bekommen habe, müsste ich Extra für den Öfentlichen Parkplatz für 55 Minuten 20€ bezahlen. (habe Hotel angerufen, leider keinem ereicht)

This is a perfect place to stay for your visit to Mont St Michel. It is the closest hotel to Mont St Michel (about a mile walk) not on the island. Some of it's room and it's restaurant has views of Mont St Michel. Our room was updated and comfortable. It was great to eat breakfast each morning with the view and easy to walk or pick up the shuttle to take us to the island

The location of the hotel is amazing: right by a shuttle stop to Mont Saint-Michel, with amazing views from the restaurant, terrace, and some of the rooms. It is also right beside the damn which offers a space to relax and to watch the sunset. We had a garden room with a view of the top of the Abbey and lots of greenery around. The room was large with a nice balcony. The bed was also large (maybe a king?) and comfortable. The hotel is quite dated though, mostly evidenced by the badly stained carpets. The staff in the restaurant were very nice. The ones at the front desk were hit and miss. Breakfast was ok.

Quatre étoiles ? Une escroquerie. Dès l’arrivée, on vous fait payer. Et on comprend vite pourquoi : une fois la chambre découverte, personne ne resterait de son plein gré. Wi-Fi inutilisable hors du lobby. Toilettes sales, cuvette jamais nettoyée. Produits de douche cassés, vasque crasseuse, moquette douteuse, sol non aspiré. Meubles tachés, jamais nettoyés. Machine à café et prises USB hors service. Trois chaînes à la télé, une télécommande poisseuse. La lumière ? Quand elle daigne fonctionner. Vue sur “le jardin” ? Un terrain vague. Vue sur le Mont-Saint-Michel ? Invisible derrière des vitres si sales qu’on croit regarder un Monet mal essuyé. Petit déjeuner ? À 7h30, tout est déjà vide. Cinq employés tournent en rond, sans réapprovisionner quoi que ce soit. Et pour couronner le tout, une nuit accompagnée de mouches et d’araignées, les premières tournoyant au plafond, les secondes patientant derrière les rideaux, toiles incluses. Et encore, ceci n’est qu’un échantillon des problèmes rencontrés. Une expérience indigne, à fuir absolument.

The hotel itself appears in need of a refresh. The walls and carpet look dirty. There were several stains on our carpet and the room is very dark. The lighting is completely inadequate. The upside though is the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom clean.

This place is the best location possible for Mont St Michel. My 2 bedroom suite was very spacious and had a direct view over the Mont. However the view was cut off at the bottom by a copse of trees. Rooms 202 to 205 would not have this issue. The restaurant had a short but excellent menu and the food was very good. Breakfasts too were good. However the physical state of the place was poor. There were many walls and ceilings with holes in them, and a ot of mold and mildew.

This hotel was our favorite on a trip to Paris and the Normandy area. Spacious! Lots of parking. Beautiful view of Mont Saint-Michel. Lovely buffet breakfast.
This hotel was our favorite on a trip to Paris and the Normandy area. Spacious! Lots of parking. Beautiful view of Mont Saint-Michel. Lovely buffet breakfast.

The hotel itself appears in need of a refresh. The walls and carpet look dirty. There were several stains on our carpet and the room is very dark. The lighting is completely inadequate. The upside though is the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom clean.

This is a perfect place to stay for your visit to Mont St Michel. It is the closest hotel to Mont St Michel (about a mile walk) not on the island. Some of it's room and it's restaurant has views of Mont St Michel. Our room was updated and comfortable. It was great to eat breakfast each morning with the view and easy to walk or pick up the shuttle to take us to the island

Une situation inacceptable qui nous a immédiatement conduits à signaler le problème à la réception. Cependant, la personne à l’accueil, une dame à l’attitude condescendante, a préféré nous accuser d’avoir mal utilisé les chaussons, prétendument abîmés, et a affirmé ne pas pouvoir confirmer comment ni quand les draps avaient été salis. Lorsque je lui ai montré des photos pour prouver que je n’avais même pas utilisé le lit après avoir remarqué ces taches, elle n’a fait preuve d’aucune compassion. Ni excuses, ni changement de draps, ni compensation : rien n’a été proposé pour remédier à la situation. Je voyage régulièrement et séjourne dans de nombreux hôtels chaque année. En dix ans, c’est la toute première fois que je me vois contraint de laisser un avis négatif, et malheureusement, c’est cet établissement qui en est la cause. The parking directions are not clear very confusing. When we arrived at nearly 2pm even though the hotel was nearly empty they advised we could not check it until 4pm. We then asked the staff if they could look after the luggage, they were all standing around talking & seemed annoyed we were bothering them. They then put post it notes on the luggage handed us a note with 3 on it & we left to go across to the island, thinking they were putting the luggage away. When we returned the luggage was still just sitting in the foyer were anyone could access & they had different staff on. We took our luggage & nobody even checked it was ours. We travelled Europe for 5 weeks & this honestly was the worst service we received. They need better signage on the directions to the car park, not just a message to say go the same way as the buses - there were 2 different signs for buses. They also need better staff & some sort of security for left luggage, other hotels locked them away & gave us a tickets which were checked on our return. They also advertise you can see Mont Saint Michel from your room, there were trees in the way, seems trivial but when you choose a hotel due to location & view & it is not what was advertised it is very disappointing. I would definitely not recommend this hotel.

We were very very satisfied. First of all, I was impressed by the sight of Mont Saint-Michel spreading all over the windows of the room. It is a splendour that cannot be conveyed from the word-of-mouth photos, and you should actually experience it. Next, the front desk staff was also the best. In the midst of not communicating well, they responded with a smile and friendly all the time until we understood. And there was a shuttle bus stop in front of the hotel, so we could easily access Mont Saint-Michel whenever we wanted. The meal with half board plan was very delicious and affordable. This hotel is definitely the best of the many hotels in the Mont-Saint-Michel area.

At check in we were told that we have to be moved to another hotel as they were having works done that were not finished. In fact they wanted our room to sell to an Asian tour group. We got sent over to the island in a horrible and dirty hotel that we didn’t want to stay in. Not happy. We didn’t even get any compensation or apology. Not happy😡

The hotel is in a great location as close as you can get to Mont Saint Michelle. This also means there’s a confusing gate you have to go through that requires a passcode and ticket entry/departure. There’s also very little food options here so come prepared with dinner already eaten or take away. Each time we left the gated area in the 24 h window we were there we had to pay 6 euro fee! This was not disclosed by the hotel. Our room was large but considering the location we had an obstructed view of Mont Saint Michelle (ground floor room 3) which was disappointing since we had traveled so far to be there. The window for the room was also splattered with dirt/paint or bird droppings making visibility hard. The room lacked an iron but had a large soaking tub I enjoyed. And the breakfast has many offerings including scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes. My biggest complaint is the on site restaurant. We were starving and didn’t know there was no where else to eat near by. The restaurant didn’t start dinner service until 7 pm. I talked to the manager and they said we should call 10 min to 7 to put in a room service order. So we did and when I called they said they could not accommodate our order since they were really busy and it would be at least 1.5 hours for the kitchen to get to us. How are you already busy WHEN YOU HAVENT OPENED YET? I was furious! We ended up driving down the road to the next town and getting some hot kebabs.

The staff provided the best service I have ever had at a hotel. After I mistakenly paid for a room with a queen bed rather than the double twin beds intended, the staff changed the accommodations so I could keep the room's view... all in a politely, friendly manner with perfect English.

Overall a good stay at the Relais. We chose this hotel because we wanted to view Mont Saint Michel from our room. The view did not disappoint. The hotel does seem dated but we were told they were in the middle of renovations. We also arrived an hour early and they did not allow us to check in early. The hotel is located right next to a shuttle to Mont Saint Michel which was convenient.

It's a great location if you wish to visit Le Mont-Saint-Michel and with the balcony room its absolutely stunning seeing it from your hotel room and is just like the photos. The bus that takes you to and from the Mont, is right by the hotel and is very convenient

The location of the hotel is amazing: right by a shuttle stop to Mont Saint-Michel, with amazing views from the restaurant, terrace, and some of the rooms. It is also right beside the damn which offers a space to relax and to watch the sunset. We had a garden room with a view of the top of the Abbey and lots of greenery around. The room was large with a nice balcony. The bed was also large (maybe a king?) and comfortable. The hotel is quite dated though, mostly evidenced by the badly stained carpets. The staff in the restaurant were very nice. The ones at the front desk were hit and miss. Breakfast was ok.

Très belle chambre avec vue magnifique (sûr que ce serait encore mieux si l'arbre était un peu coupé car il masque la moitié du Mont Saint-Michel...), grande et impeccable. Terrasse très agréable. Très bonne literie. Restaurant très bon et avec vue imprenable, personnel très accueillant 😊 Nous gardons un très bon souvenir de notre séjour 😊

This was a lovely hotel. It is as close as you can get to the island without staying ON the island. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were very clean and very spacious. It is a tad bit dated in decor, but not in an unpleasant way. We were there in the off season and this hotel was just one of a handful of hotels/restaurants that were open. Breakfast was bountiful. Dinner was good. And the free trolley to the island picks you up every 15 minutes right outside the front door. The only disappointment was the bar. The bar area wasn't operating (off season). We could order a drink at the table while we ate dinner, but had to go elsewhere down the street to enjoy just a cocktail or beer. We definitely recommend this hotel regardless of the bar being closed. I'm sure it is a different experience when there are more tourists to support additional services.

Overall, our stay at the hotel was disappointing. While the front desk staff were very friendly and genuinely helpful, the rest of the experience fell short. The beds and pillows in our room were not comfortable, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Things got worse at dinner in the hotel restaurant. My main dish was chicken, and it arrived barely warm, very red inside, and clearly undercooked. When I tried to explain the issue, it seemed they didn’t understand that the chicken was raw in the middle. I had to send it back, and I didn’t eat any of it. Despite this, they refused to remove the meal from the bill, which was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, these issues overshadowed the positive interaction with the front desk, and I wouldn’t consider staying here again.

Breakfast was a a buffet and a little sub par to other European style breakfasts. Room was perfect and had a partial view of the abbey. We had a lovely dinner the previous evening. Food was excellent and wait staff were very attentive and accomodating to my wife's gluten intolerance.

バルコニーから見えるモンサンミッシェルの景色は想像以上に良かったです。全ての時間で幻想的な景色を見ることができこのホテルにして良かったと思いました。朝食のサービスもパンがとても美味しく満足するものでした。

Beautiful hotel let down by it's restaurant. Fantastic location staff was helpful and tried their best but they need to up their game on the food and especially service in the restaurant. Angry guests were shouting about not enough food for breakfast etc.

The main advantage is its proximity to Mont-Saint-Michel. Otherwise, the hotel is quite worn, dated, and overpriced. Make sure to plan dinner in advance, as once the hotel restaurant closes, there are no other dining options in the area.

Breakfast was basic and as are the rooms. Rooms are quite big and some have view of the Mont. it’s fine for a night but not worth staying for longer

I've traveled to almost every country in Europe and when I say this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at I mean this is the worst hotel you could possibly stay at. For 3 summer months out of the year they don't have air conditioning in the rooms or the general hotel itself. The staff is rude and unprofessional. I saw some people what appeared to be having heat stroke. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Have I stayed in bad hotels? Sure. Have I ever stayed in a worse hotel outside of a motel. Absolutely not. It was dirty climbing with bugs everywhere. You cannot ear or drink without having insects all over you snd your food smothering you. For a place that gets that much business you would think they would afford air conditioning in the summer months. It was 93 depressed and in the month of May when I went. I eventually left 5 hours later and went down the street to a place that was ¹/4th the price and had A/C and staff was actually friendly and place was clean. HIGHLY HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.
