This was one of the most well appointed, beautiful vacation rentals we have ever used! 2 outdoor patios and seating areas, a hammock, 2 sets of french doors, and all the amenities PLUS outdoor games and lights. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The location was fantastic as well, and Colm was a wonderful host. Definitely a 5 star experience.

We had a wonderful stay! We enjoyed the walkable proximity (about 1/2 mile) to the beach, convenience store and ice cream shop, as well as a very short drive to Capitola and Aptos for dining and hanging out. We also drove just a few miles and took a beautiful hike in the Forest of Nisene Marks state park. The house itself was very clean, had everything we needed and wanted. The yard is lovely and and I made good use of the hammock each night. There are a bunch of nice touches, like a couple of bikes, bocce ball in the back yard and a car pass for the State Parks.
We had a wonderful stay! We enjoyed the walkable proximity (about 1/2 mile) to the beach, convenience store and ice cream shop, as well as a very short drive to Capitola and Aptos for dining and hanging out. We also drove just a few miles and took a beautiful hike in the Forest of Nisene Marks state park. The house itself was very clean, had everything we needed and wanted. Spent 2 nights with our family of 5 adults. Location was perfect, quiet neighborhood but close to everything we wanted to do. Enjoyed quick walk to the beach and ice cream. Loved all the extras…the park pass, bicycles and beach equipment. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. We can’t wait to return to the area and hope this home is available when we do.

Wonderful beach house in Aptos! I have absolutely nothing negative to report. My mom (77 yrs old) and I stayed for 3 nights. We celebrated a late Xmas with my 2 adult sons and their wives. We brought our traditional Ukrainian Xmas food and the kitchen was PERFECT for us to serve our dinner. Super comfy living room with a warm gas fireplace that heated the house perfectly. The 6 of us sat comfortably around the large island/bar for dinner. The outside area, both front and back was impressive and super accommodating for a summer stay (which we will definitely be back for).Also, I must mention the beds were very comfortable; my Mom stating it was the most comfortable bed she’s ever slept on! (We will be replacing her current mattress to match the one here at this house!)Thank you Colm and Stephanie for making your lovely beach home available for others to enjoy.

A superbly designed living space. The kitchen was a delight to use. The outdoor patios were expansive and convenient. Returning from the beach was a breeze with the outdoor shower with hot water. The enclosed backyard was excellent for a little toddler running around. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The furnishing had taste and function.

We loved our stay here! The cottage is cozy and inviting, perfect for spending time with family and friends. We really enjoyed the outdoor space, especially the hammock, and loved riding the bikes to the beach every evening to catch the sunset. In a perfect location and well stocked with everything you need for a family getaway including comfortable beds, an awesome kitchen, outdoor games and sports equipment, and a fireplace for chilly, rainy days. We hope to come back!

The house was clean, spacious for a family of four, and comfortable. But the best part is the outdoor space. There are two tables for outdoor dining, a wonderful hammock, two comfortable Adirondack chairs, and an area for Bocce ball and corn hole. Plus, the property has everything you need for the beach—a beach umbrella, beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, a standup paddle board, and sand toys. We highly recommend this house for families with active kids.

We had a great experience staying at this property. It was very clean and had all the essentials. Everyone enjoyed time in the hammock and we even got in a couple games of Bocce ball. The owner is very attentive and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location and clean property was great for our trip to the area. We stayed there to take advantage of Henry Cowell State Park, Calla Lilly Valley (in season), dinner at Shadow Brook with transportation via a 65 checker cab and an afternoon strolling Carmel by the Sea. The property was clean, outdoor area was great and would stay agin (we frequent the area).

The beach house was perfect for our family of 5. It is clean, well appointed, and conveniently located. It is exactly as advertised and the owner is kind and responsive. We enjoyed many walks to the beach and visiting nearby Monterey Bay Aquarium, redwood forests, Santa Cruz beaches and wharf, and Pinnacles National Park.

The Kennedy Beach House is in a great location--very quite neighborhood. We spend a lot of time on Capitola beach and it's only about 10 minutes away. The house appears to have been recently remodeled. The open floor plan of the house is light and livable. The furniture and beds are very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely, peaceful, spacious, comfortable. I especially loved hearing the Great Horned Owl nearby every night. Kitchen was impeccably stocked. Beds comfy, bathroom nice! Bummer about the buckets of rain which kept us from the beach, but huddled by the fireplace as also lovely. Highly recommend!

We’ll appointed, comfortable house with 2 nice patios for outdoor dining. Lots of beach equipment and games! Responsive, kind host. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a first time visit to Santa Cruz for a friend and her family from Las Vegas. The house was perfectly located, easy to find, nestled in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. The host was very responsive. The guest book was full of helpful information about the area, including a street map for a 10 minute walk to the beach. You don't have to wander far for groceries or a delicious ice cream treat. The house features two relaxing patios. The outdoor lighting for the front patio was enchanting at night.

The property was clean, outdoor area was great and would stay agin (we frequent the area).
Great location and clean property was great for our trip to the area. We stayed there to take advantage of Henry Cowell State Park, Calla Lilly Valley (in season), dinner at Shadow Brook with transportation via a 65 checker cab and an afternoon strolling Carmel by the Sea. The property was clean, outdoor area was great and would stay agin (we frequent the area).

Property was very clean. Beds were comfy. Everything we needed was on site. Communication with property owner was fantastic. Home is conveniently located near a Safeway, Peete’s coffee, etc. Marianne’s ice cream around the corner was fantastic. Would definitely stay at this property again.

Colm's beach house is amazing! It had everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful, quite location, a short walk to the beach and a good coffee shop and pizza place. We would highly recommend the Classic Beach House!

Our stay was exceptional! This home is well suited for families, even those with young children. Our kiddos had a blast running around the backyard. The house itself was clean and cozy. The host has everything you need for a fun day at the beach (7-10 minute walk). Aptos is an absolute delight. We cannot wait to come back!

We had a wonderful stay! We enjoyed the walkable proximity (about 1/2 mile) to the beach, convenience store and ice cream shop, as well as a very short drive to Capitola and Aptos for dining and hanging out. We also drove just a few miles and took a beautiful hike in the Forest of Nisene Marks state park. The house itself was very clean, had everything we needed and wanted. The yard is lovely and and I made good use of the hammock each night. There are a bunch of nice touches, like a couple of bikes, bocce ball in the back yard and a car pass for the State Parks.

We spent five days enjoying the beach, hiking in Nicene Marks and visiting family. The house is a perfect location, walkable to the beach, the mountains, the shops nearby. The property itself has wonderful outside areas, where we spent most of our time when at the house. Definitely intend to come back.

This home was perfect for us. The location, the comfort, everything. We felt at home the minute we stepped in. The patio and yard were perfect for my 1 year old grandson. Close to the beach, close to Marianne’s close to Santa Cruz, it was everything we hoped it would be.
