Hôtel Le Versailles

Bien situé près du château de Versailles Grand immeuble anonyme avec grande quantités de chambres mais 1 seul ascenseur trop lent pour desservir autant de voyageurs: résultat: embouteillage au pallier de l'ascenseur au matin pour se rendre en vitesse au chateau de Versailles! Sinon, un bon confort mais plutôt 3 que 4 étoiles vu l'âge et la dégradation extérieure de l'hotel. On cherche la réception tant c'est alambiqué dans un sous-sol bétonné allure HLM sans verdure.

Perfect Location and Comfortable Stay Near the Palace We stayed at Hotel Le Versailles for a night during our visit to the Palais de Versailles and couldn’t have picked a better location—it’s literally a 3-minute walk to the palace gates. The hotel itself is modern with a Versailles flair, tucked away on a quiet street that still feels central. Check-in was smooth, but the front desk lady was a but snarky (bad day?). Our room was clean and spacious (especially for France!) The hotel is a 4 star but feels a bit more like a 3-3.5 star, but a great value for the price. A couple of small notes: the underground parking was secure but very tight, so if you’re arriving by car, be prepared for a snug fit. Parking is $20 a day and limited so make sure you book your spot right away. Overall, we would recommend Hotel Le Versailles to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the palace and town. TIP: We found Market Day on Saturday, large, hundreds of booths. A nice bonus!

The Good: -------------- Location --- Palace of Versailles is 10-mins walking distance to the main gate. The main Markets of Versailles are 15-20 mins walk. Staff --- In general, friendly & helpful. On check-in, they asked if I needed help with my bags. Nice touch. Bed -- Comfortable. The Bad: ------------ Parking --- On-site, underground & gated. *Very* small entry/exit. This is not unique to this particular hotel. Many city-based hotels in France have car parks designed for Fiesta / Clio sized cars. If you have anything on your roof-rack (bikes, etc.), you are in trouble. The Room --- An electrical noise / humming, (elevator motor?) noise coming from *somewhere*. We rang reception & they said it was too late at night to get a new room. They said to raise it with the staff in the morning. That was very unhelpful. We didn't sleep well. Air Conditioning --- "Centrally" controlled from their reception. You have a panel in your room for turning it on/off, but you can't set the temperature lower than their pre-set, which was too hot for us. If you like a "cold" room (16-18 C, 60-64 F) you will struggle. This is not unique to this hotel. Many hotels in France do not have "real" Air Conditioning, (in the American sense, where you have full control). Cleanliness --- Bathroom had not been fully cleaned. Poor attention to detail. Phone --- It had been left unplugged. Electrical wall plug panel had fallen off, leaving exposed wires when I tried to plug it in.

Very nice room with access to Palace of Versailles properties within 1 block. Staff was very friendly and professional. Parking was limited and very tight, but we were glad it was available. We enjoyed our 1 night stay very much.

Ascenseur en travaux et des odeurs de peinture au moment de mon séjour mais l hôtel reste un endroit agréable

The room was lovely but dark and would really benefit from an overhead light. The car park was great but tight to get into and we couldn’t find the entrance so had to go to reception to ask. Lovely communal areas, fabulous staff, just across the road from the palace and a lovely breakfast

The hotel is really well positioned for the Chateau. There is a very small bar in the lobby. And a little sitting space outside. The hotel is kind of hard to get to and even though it said parking was available, we were told there were no spaces. So we asked the next day and the same. Parking on the street is 35 euros a day. Other than that, the room is excellent. The lift is only comfortable for 2 people. Overall, great location, great room.

Nice hotel, easy to find. Rooms are worn with thread bare carpet but everything worked great. Easier to park at the versaille parking lot as there will be space and is about the same price as the hotels. Better for larger vehicles.

Good location, parking is not easy

This doesn’t look anything from the outside but inside it’s typical Louis XIV bling which is everywhere in Versailles. It’s also right next to the Chateau itself and it has its own parking which is a little cheaper than the standard city car parks we found.

Hôtel correct mais si vous êtes adepte du 4 étoiles, passez votre chemin ! Rien à voir. Et cela se voit dès que vous apercevez la façade quelque peu défraichie. Chambre petite, impossible d'y mettre le pose-bagage plié dans un placard. Pas de coffre. Un frigo ok mais ne fonctionne pas. Toilettes dans la salle de bain et pas de place pour y poser ses effets personnels. Porte de salle de bain qui ne ferme pas, patère "balant". "Objet non identifié" oublié sous le lit. Les points positifs sont l'accueil et l'amabilité de l'ensemble du personnel, la proximité de l'hôtel avec le Château de Versailles, le parking couvert.

Professional and friendly staff. Clean, stylish and functional rooms.

Chambre tres sale ! De la poussiere partout, lunette des toilettes cassées, le lit secondaire de la chambre de tres mauvaise qualité. Les deux seuls points positifs sont l'emplacement et la decoration.

Tout est parfait dans cet établissement. L'accueil, le confort, la propreté, l'emplacement. je recommande vivement cet hôtel.

L'emplacement est vraiment top pour les touristes mais l'hôtel est vraiment déprimant. La propreté presque inexistante, chambre très sombre et sale. Pour un 4*, vraiment honteux. Si vous voulez un petit déjeuner, n'oubliez pas de le réserver sinon, rien..... Décevant.....

Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located a short walking distance to the Palace of Versailles making it easy to visit. The staff were very helpful.

Stay was fine, small room in perfectly adequate hotel. Nothing particularly memorable but served its purpose. Lighting in the room is quite poor however and there was a lack of outlets for current needs….

We enjoyed the proximity to The Chateau, dining and trains. Our air conditioning did not work , but we were comfortable with the window open.

Very average Hotel for the price we have paid in France. No Restaurant in the evening... Room size was quite big, however the design was so out of date.. Entering the room and seeing black cloth coving the shelf scared me when i enter.. definitely needs a renovation in order to keep a 4 star hotel status.

The hotel is fantastic for exploring Versailles itself as well as the palace. The only complaint is that the doors could do with quiet closers as the room next to me was in a group and they were in and out of the room, and the door would slam very loudly.

great location but areas of the hotel are looking very tired. The carpet in our room was very worn. The air conditioning was not working and the temperature that day was 34 degrees!!! A fan had been placed in the room but was not good enough to cool the room. We have stayed at this hotel before and the air con was not working then which was 2 years ago! not what you would expect of a 4 star hotel

This was a great hotrl. The rooms were spacious. Everything seemed new. It was close to the train station so it was very easy to get in and out of paris. There was a fabulous restaurant 1 block away. I would stay there again without question

So convenient to Versailles Chateau! My room was very spacious.

Friends and I stayed here for one night after arriving in France. Since we liked it so much we booked for the night before our return to the UK. Extremely helpful staff. Very comforting beds. Convenient position to wander into town. Parking on site and electric car chargers if you book ahead. All in all a good stay.

Loved this hotel! Fabulous staff at all times - all the staff at reception were exceptional. Really so delighted. Wherever I travel, I always check if there is construction work. Highly recommend this hotel for it's staff, amenities and for it's proximity to the Chateau. Great stay!

Séjour le jour de Noël : accueil glacial, aucune écoute, aucun effort. Late check-out Gold refusé alors que des chambres familiales étaient encore disponibles en ligne. Petit-déjeuner minimaliste : 3 viennoiseries dans un panier, puis 3 de plus seulement après demande. Un hôtel 4★ sur le papier, mais 2★ dans l’expérience. À éviter.

We had hoped for more here. Fantastic location right next to the palace and grounds, easy walking distance. Very close to many restaurants and short walk to transit. The superior room we booked was spacious and initially looked great. We arrived very late at night and didn’t realize the ac didn’t work until the next morning. We notified front desk, they offered to change to a comparable room. So we had to repack all of our belongings and then came back to the new room later that day. It was not comparable, and the mini-fridge in this one didn’t work,and the ac barley come on. We asked the new front desk person, Jane, working the night-shift to report it the next day so it could be fixed. She was extremely put out and gave us an attitude. We came back later and asked for ice, because the fridge didn’t work. She was still rude and unsympathetic. Complained that we complained, and said none of it had anything to do with her. She basically said ‘not my problem’. when I pointed this out she called me a**hole in French, not realizing I can speak French and understood perfectly. We let day-shift know about her behavior and they brought us new fridge. No one apologized, management never asked if we needed anything else, or wanted to discuss her unprofessionalism. We come to the area twice a year, won’t be back to this one.

The receptionists are not friendly. And rude. I asked for thinhs which should be very basic for any hotel. They didnt bring it . And in adition they dont care or apologise otherwise cold faces . They say we can do nothing and the hell with us !!!

The staff was extremely nice and we were able to leave our bags behind the counter with a tag so we could enjoy the Palace of Versailles the next morning.

Great location to the Palace and quiet rooms

Very convenient location being next to the palace. Staff are friendly and offered parking at additional charge for $20 per night. Walking distance to lots of dining and shopping options.

Ideal to visit the Palace of Versailles, with great train links to the centre of Paris from either of the 2 RER stations. (eg 25 mins to Eiffel Tower)

This attractive hotel is walking distance from the train station and sits directly in front of the Palace!

Great place next to the palace

The Hotel’s position was great for the Palace visit . Only 700m from the train station which in turn was only a 30minute journey from the Eiffel Tower . The room was spacious and clean, with very courteous helpful staff.

The Hotel was very accommodating to us when we arrived and gave us our room early. The position of the hotel was in a good position to visit the Place. the Breakfast was very poor and not good value for money.

Nice hotel, clean with a walking distance to chateau Versailles. We could see it from our window. The only down thing was a hotel breakfast. It was a really poor quality. Nowhere in the world I ate cold pancakes. Breakfast area is mostly empty, they could really improve the quality for the price of 20e per person.

Easy and quick walk to Versailles. Great staff, breakfast was good. Parking in the garage was convenient.

The property was 2 minuites walk from Palace of Versailles which was amazing. The decoration was brilliant , lots of Versailles related art work. Friendly welcome on arrival . Breakfast variety and quality was not of equal quality both days . Overall a good experience, i would return if.visiting this locatìon again.

The family room was spacious enough where the sofa bed for our kids was on the other end of the room. The bathroom was clean and I loved the small little thoughtful gifts. The breakfast buffet was really good and you can’t beat the proximity to Palace of Versailles. There was a parking garage but the surrounding streets had plenty of street parking with a meter machine. There’s a small public playground across the street and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The artwork on the walls was beautiful.

Staff was amazing and the hotel was well located to The Versailles Palace. We paid for breakfast each morning so we coukd be out to stroll, quickly. Excellent food, good selection. Just steps to The Palace, shops and food. Great Restaurants just around the corner. Below , pictured is an excellent Dining experience around the corner ) at a medium price. A wonderful stay
