The place is pretty nice. It just felt that its managed by non professionals. We had to climb stairs to get to our room - it wasn't terrible but I wish we were told about this beforehand. The property is pretty nice, secluded, loved the firepit and the creek. I wish they lowered the meditation music a little bit so that we could enjoy the nature. What seemed a bit unprofessional is that at checkout we got a call right at 11 am (checkout time) claiming that they wana see if we already checked out, but sounded more like rushing us to checkout maybe ? I just wish they waited just a few more minutes lol. They still were nice. I would go back again regardless!

We loved our stay at the Gaige House. Pamela showed us around the property with a very warm welcome. Great breakfast, beautiful landscape and pool free wine/cheese/cookies. Thank you for a great stay!

Where can I start? This place is nestled in quaint Glen Ellen, with a spacious property and plenty of privacy. So many high- touch amenities- a glass of campaign when you check in, afternoon wine and cheese hosted by local wineries, a nightcap sake bar, and complementary breakfast. We used the pool, hot tub, the meditation room, and we had a fire pit all to ourselves ( there are two fire pits). We stayed in the main house, and had our own external entrance and private patio. We would definitely stay here again. Close to so many wineries

Five star prices but maybe a three star hotel, I was very disappointed given that we paid $593 per night (with taxes and fees) From the photos of the hotel on their website, their description, and the cost we were expecting a luxury boutique hotel but it was not that. The location, pool, and grounds are very pretty and relaxing, but our room which was listed as a suite was not worth $593 per night. The white walls adjacent to the bed and some in the bathroom were worn, dirty, and scuffed as were some of the baseboards. there was peeling paint on the wall next to the shower. Some of the furniture was chipped and worn looking. It felt like an average hotel room but we were not paying average prices. There was a serious lack of attention to detail and comfort that I’d expect when paying this amount of money.

The property itself is great, extremely quiet and relaxing. Breakfast service, wine hour and amenities were fantastic. However the room was definitely a bit dated, and worn. We were most pleasantly surprised at our room which felt like we were back at a Japanese onsen, but without the hot water. They did an excellent job in design and landscaping. The evening snacks and breakfast were very nice.

The hotel is beautifully situated near a creek and among trees and attractive landscaping with outdoor seating areas around the pool and on porches. The amenities were good - from a guest wine tasting in the afternoon to breakfast in the morning. Our room - a Deluxe King, however, was lacking. It was much smaller than shown on the website and did not have the Asian design aesthetic and comfortable/luxury feel reflected in the online photos. For example, the bed frame was made from metal and you had to be careful not to hurt your legs on the sharp edges when walking around it. The mattress was very flat and hard. The room only had one window and was dark during the day. In Sonoma, travelers do spend most of their time exploring the vineyards, towns, and natural beauty of the area, however, staying in a warm and welcoming hotel room is also part of the overall experience.

A nice and peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings. Overall, we had a good time. Mixed impressions of service. Pamela at the front desk was wonderful, warm, friendly and accommodating. Her colleague Crystal, on the other hand, was brusque and unwilling to accommodate any wishes. (Example: during the « wine hour » on the first night Crystal offered rosé, which I don’t like. When I asked if it would be possible to have a white wine on the following night she answered: no.) In fact it was possible and in the end it was offered, but her immediate « no » had left a bad taste. ) There were other examples as well. I think Crystal needs to keep working on her guest service skills.

What an absolutely amazing hidden oasis. From the first moment you step into their guest house, you feel like a you have entered a little hidden gem. Quiet, quaint, with delicious wine hour, great breakfast and extremely kind personnel. I will definitely be coming back!! Also, couldn’t have asked for a better location.

Where can I start? This place is nestled in quaint Glen Ellen, with a spacious property and plenty of privacy. So many high- touch amenities- a glass of campaign when you check in, afternoon wine and cheese hosted by local wineries, a nightcap sake bar, and complementary breakfast. We used the pool, hot tub, the meditation room, and we had a fire pit all to ourselves ( there are two fire pits). We stayed in the main house, and had our own external entrance and private patio. We would definitely stay here again. Close to so many wineries

This property was so welcoming and quiet from the front walk to the creek behind the meditation room. Wine and cheese in the game room in the evenings to a mimosa bar in the breakfast room, are complimentary. We even walked to a local restaurant for dinner. Traffic noise was minimal when we were here in early May.

Very nice property for calm, peace, relaxation. Exactly what we were looking for. Limited number of guests. Everyone seemed to be looking for quiet and comfort and this fit the bill. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and mimosas in the am. Took advantage of a quiet hot tub in the evening. My only negative was the location didn’t allow for an easy walk around anywhere off of the property. No fault of the property, it’s just where the hotel is.

We enjoyed our one-night stay and found the inn to be clean and comfortable, and the staff to be friendly and efficient. The breakfast and the fruit and cheese platter set out for wine hour were high-quality, as was the wine.

The property has been updated since the last time I stayed there. All the updates have been nicely done and represent a solid improvement. The breakfast is one of the highlights of the stay, and the local wineries that pour at happy hour are well worth the visit. HWY12 had some good pinots and very nice reserve cabs. All said it was a good visit to Glen Ellen and Sonoma.

I liked the property & the room was very nice. I am sorry to say Sunday morning breakfast service was a disappointment. I'm in the Food business and offer this; the croissants in bags: stale & inedible the coffee thermos-broken no lids for take out cups the granola cups are in plastic, creates waste ! use glass. the quiche & potatoes... Yawn, boring j

Beautiful location, room was charming and breakfast / happy hour options for food and drinks were wonderful. One slight critique would be how prompt the food & drink was removed at happy hour, but not a big deal and overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful 3-night stay in the Gaige Suite. The room was outstanding. Huge bathroom and private deck were great features. Pool was small but heated, quiet, and never busy. Breakfast was outstanding and the wine tasting every evening was a highlight. Also loved the fresh cookies every day. Perfect location in Glen Ellen and a short drive to either Sonoma or Santa Rosa. Highly recommend

Wonderful visit. Friendliest staff ever and will help you with anything. Free parking is a plus. Breakfast was delicious and presented beautifully. Not to mention fresh baked cookies daily along with a reception hour! Our bed was low to floor which may present a problem for some people.
