Quality Inn Seaman

There were good things and a couple not so good. We did like the area. I felt safe. The people were friendly. The area is pretty. The downside is the parking was kind of tight. The room was somewhat clean. Nobody swept between the stands and bed. So along the edge of the room. There was a roach in the bathroom. I know that is sometimes beyond someone's control considering other guests. The rest of the room was clean though. The room was nice and cool when we got there which was great because we had drove two hours with no air conditioning. The room smelled great when we entered it. Besides the two other things, it was a good stay. No bed bugs. Clean sheets. Area is fairly quiet. The diner nearby has great food and service. We did have a good stay.

Clean and nice people but the pool is green

They didn't have any toiletries at the front desk. Their washer, vending machine, and ice machine were down.

The man at the front desk, while checking in, sat behind a wall unaware of 6 people at the desk waiting to check in. the room floor was completely wet and room smelled of mildew. the pool was gross. morning breakfast was a disaster, we only had an apple. the check out clerk was nice.

We had to wait 45 minutes after the check in time for our rooms to be ready. We were given rooms across the hall from each other vs. connecting rooms. The rooms were not clean. They had piles of dirt behind doors, coffee cup stains on window sills, chip crumbs in the hallway, candy wrappers on the lobby floor, and the bathroom floors were not clean. We asked about the pool and they said it tested fine even though there was some green around the edges. Then we watched a lady get out of the pool, wrap herself with a towel and proceed to urinate on the surrounding sidewalk. The gentleman she was swimming with then splashed water on her to rinse her off. When we told the manager the morning of our departure he mentioned the pool was closed for maintenance. The breakfast fruit was over-ripe and the cranberry juice was a light pink instead of the deep red color is intended to be. The ice maker didn't work and left a large puddle on the floor that my 2-year old slipped and fell on and hit her head. She is fine but her clothes were soaked meaning it was a large pool of water. When we got back to our room the night before our departure, there were several cars parked out front with no way to enter. They were out front passing around a liquor bottle. No one wore a logoed shirt so that you knew who worked there or not. So I was unsure as to who to address with my concerns while I was there. Thankfully this was a one time visit.

Extended residents lingering around parking lot and entry. Odd smell in entire building. Room was next to utility room where they did laundry in very loud machines past 12am, could not sleep due to noise. bed and room were clean but cloth curtain on shower was moldy and smelled. Breakfast was great! Staff was friendly. Outside entry cluttered with broken lamps and equipment.

Very limited parking, with no office sign. Heater had 1 setting, Hot as Hell. Sink didnt drain. Tv remote didnt funtion. Upstairs smelled of wonderful Indian food and breakfast was not, very bland gravy.

I booked two rooms back in January for the serpent mound peace summit, I got the last two rooms there. When I arrived, only one room was available and my family had to squeeze into a single room. The building is in poor condition and poorly cleaned, with no elevator for older and disabled people. It was a struggle for us to get up to the second floor. I’m giving two stars because we at least got a room with two double beds.

Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was pretty good. Had a frig and a microwave. Had HBO 1 & 2. Keys worked great on the door. Had a really nice outdoor swimming pool. Seemed very kid friendly.

Property was run down. Room towels weren't dirty but were stained. Same with comforter. Floor tiles cracked, closet doors dirty, scratched up. We checked in to get ready for a wedding at McCoys once at the wedding decided we would just drive the 2 hours home instead of staying at the hotel.

There was black mold on the ceiling above the toilet, nail clippings on the floor beside the bed, hairs in the shower…AWFUL, and needs DEEP cleaning!!!

The room was not very clean. There was hair in the shower, the bed spread was dirty.

This was one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed in. The sheets and blanket actually had blood spots. The bathroom floor looked unswept, there was filth all over the base of the toilet, toothpaste spots all over the wall, and fingerprints everywhere. If I thought there were any hotels close by, or that might have had rooms, I would have left.

However the remote would not turn the TV off; we had to unplug it to turn it off. This hotel advertised breakfast but it was disappointing as well. There was no one watching the kitchen, food ran out, no one replaced it. The person at the front desk stayed in the back room. There was a bell to ring for service. I would not recommend this hotel.

I was not satisfied with the room we stayed in because there was bugs in the room that looked a lot like roaches. Informed the person at front desk and nothing was done to check and take care of them. They were on the night stand between the beds. Plus there was dead bugs in the corner of the room. Then the person or people who rented the room next to ours partied all night making it next to impossible to sleep This was the worst experience i ever had when staying in a motel or hotel.

It was clean - but the bed sheets on both beds were really wrinkly. The air conditioning did not work properly it was really hot day/night, and it barely came out and we got really warm. One little bottle of shampoo for two guests. It was clean and quiet, everything else worked fine. My payment got taken twice for the room so now I have to deal with that.

The first room #211 had heater that was blowing cold and extremely noisy. The second room#208 had heater reasonably quiet but blowing cold. The third room#203 heater worked well and was reasonably quiet considering the type it is. Staff was courteous and apologetic. There was dirt around lamp base on nightstand. There wasn't a bulb in the light on table next to TV. Hotel was quiet. When I arrived at :8:30 for breakfast there was a limited amount of food available.

This hotel is in need of some modernization. The bed, furniture and other items in the room look warn. The towels were very warn. I stay here once per year passing thru because the location works great for me but I may consider another property next time.

We decided to stay and they got the hot water issue fixed within a couple hours, which was fine. Staff very polite. The rail in the shower was loose but i had forgotten to mention it when there. No other issues.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. The bathtub was older, but it was clean. It was close by to where we were going to view Serpent Mound and the people working in the Inn were nice and welcoming. We try to stay at financially lower cost places and were very pleased with this Inn.

My experience is pretty similar to other reviews. The staff was very nice, but not knowledgeable about the area as far as food and other things. The building and rooms are not in great condition but kept clean enough. Trim and tile were broken in my room and caulk was used to cover it up. The bed was good enough, furniture was older but in good shape. The bathtub and shower were in need of replacing. The tub didn’t drain correctly, and the shower only worked on pure hot. I’d probably stay again just because it’s pretty much the only hotel in the area and it’s inexpensive. If there were other options, I would choose a different hotel.

The lamps didn't all have bulbs rendering 2 of the 3 useless. Overhead lights had to do. It was quiet and located where I needed. The table chairs were in poor condition and one hade a broken arm.

It also had a choice of cereals, bagels/toast/muffins, 3 kinds of fruit, yogurt, etc. The bathroom was very handicapped accessible (we're not handicapped, but...). The person at the desk was very nice and helpful. It had a refrigerator and microwave (for some reason, some hotels are not equipped with a microwave in the room).
