Room was expensive for it to have dusty furniture, peeling paint in the bath especially the tiles, mildew in the shower. The outside of the building was all peeling paint. The AC was a noisy in room unit with a hose out the window. The window ledge next to our dining table was full of dead flies. Beautiful location but the rest didn’t live up to our expectations. Beware of long staircase in the lodge with no elevator.

I’m sure at some point this was a beautiful property. Sadly it’s very run down now. The cabins are not properly stocked, glass missing from patio deck and the property’s to not overlook the ocean!!!! You will need to shuttle to the pool which is not heated. Beautiful view but unless you hit a warm day is cold. We had a phenomenal check in and shuttle driver (same gentleman) who was outstanding! We had one spoon and a knife in our place and no phone… odd I would not return. Better property in the area more affordable that have more to offer.

Rented the Deluxe Room with ocean view. The front desk staff were excellent. The room was better than expexted and the view was spectacular. Yes, you do require to purchase a park pass.

The hotel is in unique location, remoted area with the trail next to the hotel. Room was clean but a little "tired", it is 80s,not modern. Ocean view was more like view of poles, but because of snow piles in front of the windows at least there was no need to curtain them. The restaurant is in a seperate building, the food is tasty, a lot of food on the plate. Hot tub outside is amazing experience in the cold weather but it might be occupied so it is better to come in the morning. Spa services should be booked ahead.

The staff were friendly and helpful at check in. The cottage we rented was a duplex, and had a family with 2 small barking dogs, and rap music playing through the walls. Thankfully we had noise makers! The tv did not have any channels, and the air conditioner was broken. The place needs some maintenance and care. The pool was just opened due to a recent storm, so it was dirty. The bathroom and towel area seemed neglected. The location was stunning, and the restaurant was also pretty yummy. If you go, try to find a cottage that isnt shared, and make sure air conditioning, and tv are in working order.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and has many amenities. Our room had a beautiful view. The only downsides were the spa and exercise room had limited hours and the service in the restaurant was spotty.

Lovely property in beautiful setting. We stayed in the Corson House, centrally located on the property. One of the two restaurants (which offered vegan options--YAY) was conveniently across the main road. The well-appointed spa--where we happily took advantage of friendly, professional services--was next door. Our comfortable room had three large windows overlooking the restaurant and water. We had looked forward to relaxing and listening to live music in the Highland Sitting Room in the main lodge building; however, we found it closed for the season. Would definitely go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Keltic Lodge. The staff were reasonably helpful and nice but not the best service ever. Really stunning property with amazing views and we appreciated the landscaping on the property. The room was dated but in a quaint way. We particularly appreciated how clean everything was.

Room was dated and shabby. Light bulbs were missing and electrical outlets not functioning. Cracks in tiles in walls and peeling paint. Human hair on bathroom floor, hole in window screen that allowed in insects, and room was not soundproof in the least. We could hear everything they guests in the next room were saying. Also, the very noisy air conditioning unit was one of the old style that sits on the floor with a big tube out the window for air. This unit blocked access to the bed (which was ridiculously high). The hallway access doors did not have proper closures, and as a result slammed every time a guest walked through. The front desk did not open until 4 PM and is in a different building from where the sleeping rooms are. Only one room key is provided with a $50 charge if lost. Although the linens and towels were clean, and in good repair, the curtains and baseboards were very dusty We book through Expedia and got a distinct impression that the older, smaller, and less desirable rooms are given to Expedia customers. Even at a discounted price, the room rate is not justified. This property needs a thorough upgrade otherwise it’s simply lipstick on a pig and you’re not fooling anyone.

The reception was disappointing... The room wasn't clean, dust bunnies, dirty fixtures and windows. The A/C unit was full of water and wouldn't operate and the filter on the back of the unit was totally disgusting. Considering the fact this was a $300.00 per night stay... I was NOT pleased!! I have visited and stayed at many places over the years and this Lodge, like the Blomidon Inn and the DelRay in PEI were NOT up to the standard that I am expecting considering the price...you should be ashamed of the condition!! Dirty carpets, vacuum cleaners are very common these days....try using it on "occasion". The grounds and the Pool were very nice... Overall, you failed and I will NOT be returning nor will I suggest your "hovel" for others to visit!!!

What a gorgeous view and property. The room was dated, but clean. We stayed in the main lodge, which was quite was a bit noisy because of the lack of insulation due to the age of the building. Overall though, this place was really unique and we enjoyed our stay. We wish we had more time here.

We were so happy with the room we got. Loved the two floor layout! The beds were incredibly cozy. The sheets were soft. Temperature was perfect in the room. Appreciated the coffee maker & mini fridge. I stopped a maid to let her know that they are doing a great job & that the room we stayed in was probably the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Please give these people a raise. I didn’t see even a piece of hair in the corner of the bathroom - nothing. They are doing a wonderful job! It felt almost newly renovated. Loved our stay & the grounds were beautiful! The only issue was had was our children were disappointed with the closure of the pool but we completely understand the extenuating circumstances & recent unprecedented rainfall. We’d love to come back & will be raving about this place to anyone who will listen haha

We enjoyed all aspects of our stay! The view from our well appointed room was fantastic! the room itself was spacious and very comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable! We enjoyed the live music at the lounge and very much enjoyed our dinners at the Arduaine Restaurant! the only reason we gave a 4 on the staff and service was the buffet breakfast. We would often have to ask for coffee, jams ect and the hot food only warm!! Overall a very fantastic experience at your lodge!

A huge shout out of appreciation needs to be made to the staff of the Keltic Lodge! We were booked in for a weekend of skiing and from the beginning it was obvious that the staff wanted you to be comfortable and taken care of. As it turned out, we happened to be there during the biggest snow storm in decades! Usually, Keltic is closed on Sundays and Mondays, but instead of sending us into the blizzard to fend for ourselves, and to give the smaller winter staff a well deserved break, they all went above and beyond to help us feel safe and secure. We were booked in for a weekend of skiing and from the beginning it was obvious that the staff wanted you to be comfortable and taken care of. As it turned out, we happened to be there during the biggest snow storm in decades! Usually, Keltic is closed on Sundays and Mondays, but instead of sending us into the blizzard to fend for ourselves, and to give the smaller winter staff a well deserved break, they all went above and beyond to help us feel safe and secure. Latter half of September, & there was no heat even with a frost advisory - they did give a modest credit on our account for this which was appreciated. Restaurant menu had changed from on line, with item we wanted cancelled. Food was tasty but only warm at best. For the price one of the most disappointing stays I have had anywhere.

Room was dated and shabby. Light bulbs were missing and electrical outlets not functioning. Cracks in tiles in walls and peeling paint. Human hair on bathroom floor, hole in window screen that allowed in insects, and room was not soundproof in the least. We could hear everything they guests in the next room were saying. Also, the very noisy air conditioning unit was one of the old style that sits on the floor with a big tube out the window for air. This unit blocked access to the bed (which was ridiculously high). The hallway access doors did not have proper closures, and as a result slammed every time a guest walked through. The front desk did not open until 4 PM and is in a different building from where the sleeping rooms are. Only one room key is provided with a $50 charge if lost. Although the linens and towels were clean, and in good repair, the curtains and baseboards were very dusty We book through Expedia and got a distinct impression that the older, smaller, and less desirable rooms are given to Expedia customers. Even at a discounted price, the room rate is not justified. This property needs a thorough upgrade otherwise it’s simply lipstick on a pig and you’re not fooling anyone.

Positives: Nice property with a unique location. Great lawn area to sit and have a cocktail. Entrance to hiking path out to Middlehead very close to hotel. No signage to indicate check in was not at main lodge until you walked in the door, had to drive back down the road to another building. Just put up a sign saying "check-in here" on the entry road. Staff, food and location all great.

No signage on property, very difficult to find Reception desk. After a run around, finally got checked in and room was freezing with no heat. More run around trying to find someone to help us. Hours later, finally given a new room. Give management credit for giving us upgrade for all the pain, but small consolation!

The stay at this hotel is was a disaster. It started by having no idea in which building the main desk is. A sign would be nice. After parking at the main lodge entering to find that I had to go to a different building. We were greated and given a key. Our room did not have a working toilet or sink. I tried to call the front desk but there was no answer. I had to walk. Turns out that room was “out of service” and we shouldn’t have been given it. They gave us another room. This room did not have a working air conditioner. Again no pick up from the front desk. I walked. I was told they would replace the air conditioner right away. We went to dinner and some sight seeing. When we returned they had not fixed the air. Tried to call. No one picked up. I walked again. At nine at night they moved our room again. After finally falling asleep a three am fire alarm went off. I would never recommend staying here. It is on beautiful property but the hotel is a disaster. It is also dated. Not worth paying to stay at it.

The staff was very responsive and great. We were there after a major snow storm so we did not get the massages that we had scheduled because the staff could not get in. This was understandable but a little disappointment with our plans. However, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay and again the staff was exceptional.

Front office staff NOT friendly at all, they were rushing , gave us a cottage that’s under renovation. And had to call them to change it took an hour to change that to after calling them to remind. When we were leaving too front desk staff did not even smile or say thank you . Felt we were not welcomed there. Only people were very friendly and welcoming staff at the restaurant. They were very respectful, professional, friendly. We wanted to come to that area again in fall we don’t know if we will stay at the Keltic Lodge. Very sad 😢 they have wrong people in the front to greet customers.

The setting could not have been more beautiful. We stayed in the older “main” lodge. Not super modern, but that was a big part of its charm. Enjoyed a short hike along the Middle Head train which started just a few hundred yards from the lodge.

This establishment is old and that fact must be taken into consideration. AC is by portable unit. No elevators so plan for stairs. Parking is easy but updating needed. Breakfast is good for a few days/if longer make some alternate plan as local is far away. Nice staff. Cabot trail/that's why your here.

The hotel is in unique location, remoted area with the trail next to the hotel. Room was clean but a little "tired", it is 80s,not modern. Ocean view was more like view of poles, but because of snow piles in front of the windows at least there was no need to curtain them. The restaurant is in a seperate building, the food is tasty, a lot of food on the plate. Hot tub outside is amazing experience in the cold weather but it might be occupied so it is better to come in the morning. Spa services should be booked ahead.

The grounds are beautiful. Our room was comfortable but paint was peeling off the door trim. Asks you to be environmentally friendly by saving water and re-using towels, which is great, but then has plastic single use cups in the bathroom wrapped in more plastic. The food at the restaurant was very good but we ordered the mussels to “start” and they came with our entree at the same time. There was no spoon with my chowder and no bowl to put the mussel shells in. By the time I got to eat my soup it was luke warm. The drinks were really good and the live music was wonderful. I would have told the front desk but they never asked how my stay was when I checked out.

We enjoyed all aspects of our stay! The view from our well appointed room was fantastic! the room itself was spacious and very comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable! We enjoyed the live music at the lounge and very much enjoyed our dinners at the Arduaine Restaurant! the only reason we gave a 4 on the staff and service was the buffet breakfast. We would often have to ask for coffee, jams ect and the hot food only warm!! Overall a very fantastic experience at your lodge!

They need to touch base with Expedia as I had booked 2 nights , Room was one king and 2 doubles because we had a party of 6. Upon check in was told they do not have any rooms matching that description. So the other couple with us had to sleep on a pull out couch we are easy to get along with so we requested a cot. Friendly and helpful staff however. Restaurant Arduaine, it was crazy busy 2 hrs 50 mins for a meal. The area as a whole I think is still feeling the aftermath of Covid deathly slow everywhere. The view as always is stunning at Keltic, your paying for that . We stayed at the Corson house very nice room but not worth $450 a night IMO.

The staff was very nice but the lodge was overpriced for what we got. Surprising not much to do if the weather is bad. Bar did not know how to make cocktails so we stuck to beer and wine following 2 badly made drinks.

This is a little overdue, however I definitely wanted to post this. So I rolled in here on Friday February 2nd for a skiing weekend at Cape Smokey, and was due to check out Sunday morning February 4th...but after 120 cm of snow over the weekend, I didn't get out until February 6th. All I can say is that the staff were absolutely outstanding in what must have been a difficult situation for them in what was one of the worst snowstorms in decades. I recently heard that the main lodge is closing to be revamped, and would otherwise recommend The Keltic Lodge in a heartbeat. Many, many thanks!
